One of the best Spitfire i've seen. This model from Tamiya is excellent, great work, deffinetely worth seeing.
Great job! Some modelers criticize Tamiya kits for being too simple to assemble. To them I say: There's more complex and expensive kits out there to challenge them, and bad kits that just frustrate. It's up to them: Be a model snob, or enjoy being frustrated by having to solve unnecessary problems... For myself, I'd rather the kit goes together properly, and spend my OCD time on painting and detailing 😏.

Daniel Williams I agree that this is a marvellous build, but have to say it’s not perfect, if it was perfection you might as well give up building, nothing left to strive for, I don’t know where I heard this but “there is always one more thing you can try”.

Amazing video! You did a great job on this kit.
You make it look so easy, the parts seem to fit perfectly without any extra work. When I was still building plastic kits, I remember always struggling with getting the wings on symmetrically, tail planes perpendicular to the fuselage, landing gear aligned, and plane not having one wing standing further of the ground than the other, when looking from the front. Could just have been my lack of skills, but it also seems kits like these are much higher quality than the ones I struggled with back then.

Mk 1a, Classic Battle of Britain Spitfire. Along with the Hurricane, my 2 best ever fighters from WW2. Beautiful model, wonderful detail.

That’s a beauty.
I don’t typically like watching build and finish videos...I’m not really sure why, but I often find myself skipping through them because the modeller is dwelling on some boring part of the build, or whatever. I’m as passionate about modelling as everyone else, but these videos make me want to plunge a fork in my eye.
Your vids however, seem to be different. They’re never boring...in spite of the fact that I’m an armour modeller and not aircraft...and I watch them straight through from start to finish, enjoying every moment. I think it might be how you edit your presentations. Either way, keep up the awesome work.

Would you ever consider making a plastic rocket kit? There are many different types available and there is actually a large community, at least in America, that converts these scale kits to actual flying model rockets and holds competitions for their likeness to the real thing. Keep up your good work.

Honestly I am 13 and make models and shame myself for my skill level compared to yours it’s crazy how much detail and time and effort you put into making models just about to start a 1/48 tamiya mustang any tips would be very helpful thanks
Hey your 13 you have many years of modeling ahead of you, dont feel ashamed that you think your skill level is below par. We all start out as novices it comes with experience and taking the time to build a kit to your standard, then when you move onto a new project you can say to yourself, "hey I know I can improve on this one as I now have that experience behind me". As we modelers say, modeling is meant to be fun, and at the end of the day what we turn out we should be proud of.
Beautiful model of the Spit ,have built many in different scale's, and am fortunate to have 25% ownership of a real Spit MK 5b .
