Hey I just came across your video , I graduated CS A - School on Feb 25th and I was the black rope then promoted to the yellow rope then the red one . All the instructors are cool asl and really gave me more motivation to be prepared for the fleet.
Hello I m 18 years old shipping out feb 28 2023 I m scared of boot camp I m in shape and I would said my resistance is smooth cause I been putting work in the gym I m in shape what would be your best advice for me (boot camp ) my job position is CS
I loved the video! Very informative. One topic could be...what to expect if it’s your first time on a ship. Also how long does it take to adjust to the ship life in your opinion.
I can’t understand why the so called culinary arts rate even has an “A” school. There’s no way these new people are really allowed to cook right out school so why even bother having a school? All navy cooking is based upon recipe cards from which no one is allowed to deviate. And furthermore, all non-rates reporting aboard ship must mess cook for 60 to 90 days anyway, so potentiall anyone could end up being a cook. This is one of the few rates they have in the merchant marine along with bosun’s mate and engineman. And there’s no point in having a BM A school either.
I’m going in as a e1 cs I ship out July 13 I don’t have my sailors creed memorized or when we go into a turn I don’t have that down do you have any suggestions or tips
My wife graduated yesterday and I wanted to know after “A” school when would we have the opportunity to find a home? Would she get leave for a couple days to get settled in once she gets her first command?
Once you graduate bootcamp you get to have your phone. Once you get to “A” school you just can’t take it to class with you. But you can have it once your out of class.
Being a CS you don’t have to wait in line like everybody else to get your food, you don’t have to stand watch like the other rates, and you can make yourself special meals if you don’t want what’s being served. No matter what people may say about being a CS choose the rate that you want because, at the end of the day it’s going to be you doing the work.
Video is really good! I'm still at C's school just finished and now on holds🥲 but yeah your video is really good! I was a duty section leader but now I'm just chilling haha if anyone is watching and wondering what it's like here honestly just apply yourself and you'll be good.

She should let her command know the first day she check in that she wants to take house haunting leave. It won’t be a problem
@@moniquejohnson8644 Roger that I’ll let her know

Do you get to keep your phone in the weekdays?
Once you graduate bootcamp you get to have your phone. Once you get to “A” school you just can’t take it to class with you. But you can have it once your out of class.

Every rate has its pro’s and con’s but yes I do.
@@moniquejohnson8644 What would say are the pros are because I picked CS at MEPS and people on reddit said to change it
