You are in-between ghetto and very hot
Great job!
One standard issue pillow: ☑ One standard issue teddy-bear: ☑
And i thought it was horrible living in an open warehouse with double bunks durning Army deployment to middle east.
Great job!
I'm very proud of you! This is the best Navy Motivation video in the history of the Navy! A+ Chief Warrant Officer 2, U.S. Navy Ret.
Thank you Sir! 😊
Question... Are you able to choose your rack? me Personally I want the top rack
At first I didn’t get to pick but I asked if I could switch with someone.
@@moniquejohnson8644 I joined the AF so that was my question. im thinking about switching cuz MAN I REALLY DO hate the desert and on how they sent me to the dam desert. like everyone around me is getting orders to go someplace else even for the people that have been in less then me are getting orders and im just stuck in the dam desert.
I can’t understand why the so called culinary arts rate even has an “A” school. There’s no way these new people are really allowed to cook right out school so why even bother having a school? All navy cooking is based upon recipe cards from which no one is allowed to deviate. And furthermore, all non-rates reporting aboard ship must mess cook for 60 to 90 days anyway, so potentiall anyone could end up being a cook. This is one of the few rates they have in the merchant marine along with bosun’s mate and engineman. And there’s no point in having a BM A school either.
Crammed in there like sardines for sure
nah wait you related to cs1 johnson?😭
Yes 🤣🤣
Amy clappin’ going on onboard?
Where the test hard also is it multiple question?
It wasn’t hard and yes it’s all multiple choice! 😊
I heard they wake you up twice during your 12 hours off to take roll. True?
I went during 2020 to my knowledge they wouldn’t wake you up. They would just make sure your in your rack 🤣
@@moniquejohnson8644 ok thanks
This seems horrible. Are you allowed to have a. guitar on the ship?
Yes you can lol
@@moniquejohnson8644 ok thanks.
Anytime! 😊
No broads were onboard when I served!!!
Why you stop making videos??
I’m actually about to post one about my deployment 🤣
USS Intrepid 1971-1974. Was much different back then
Where is Steadman at? lol you got a new member subscribed.
If I remember correctly she had another baby so she’s out on paternity leave.
Very boring
Update, it’s gotten Wayyy Worse. Mostly due to holds not having sense.
You wear the uniform with honor and exemplary poise❤😊
I stand behind you; Sail on my dear child of purity and innocence❤😊
I’m sorry for the loss of your sister; I respect you for your openness ❤😊
Make sure you make the Navy a career like I did; your life will be so much more rewarding after you retire young, thus avoiding all the adversities of civilian life; you’re a good girl❤😊
So happy to subscribe ma’am; I’m proud of you. I’m retired Navy with honor❤😊
Not professional behavior at the beginning. Have some pride in yourself.
Ladder not stairs. 🤣
Damn you beautiful
Shipmate, this is way more room than we got on submarines. I was STS3(SS) on the USS Florida SSBN-728 (since converted to SSGN) and USS Asheville SSN-758 in 1999 to 2003! And, junior enlisted berthing was a series of bunkrooms, each the size of an office cubicle, that each held nine men! Three forward, three aft, three amidships. There was also a little container with about one cubic foot of space for each person. Officers also had staterooms the size of an office cubicle but only had to share it with one or two other officers (depending on how many officers were aboard at the time). There are women now, I never served with women but always supported the idea. Starting in 2008, they first let on officers, then senior enlisted, now any woman can join. 🙂 (I would assume they would reserve however many bunkrooms need to be reserved for women only.) There's actually a female submarine officer who is now an astronaut! LCDR Kayla Borron! She was on the ISS for I think six months or a year! 🙂 She said her time on submarines helped prepare her for space. 🙂 Anyway TYFYS 🙂
That’s awesome! I thought about going Sub just for the experience… and no problem sir thank you for your support! 🙏🏾
I've never been inside female berthing - thanks for the tour! Nice to see you and your shipmates have a bit of decorative touches, but it still looks neat and military. Good luck!
Women are so bad for morale on ship. No sailor will ever admit this however lest his career be terminated.
How?
@@trevdestroyer8209 because the most Chad sailor bangs the 9 women on the ship and the other 99% of men get jealous that they're sneaking a wank in their tiny bed while Cha smashes, destroys camaraderie
Having been in & served, l myself would not want to serve alongside skirts, aka females, & "WAVES". They have NO business being in combatant roles, much less on warships. Things need to be restored back to the way they were before: the law(s) prohibiting them from serving in combat needs to be reinstated... and ENFORCED. THE WORST mistake this man's navy ever made was letting those ...(rhymes with witches)...in combat. Sexist, you think ? Tough. l don't give a 💩.
Much better than the submarines I used to ride.
Can you have your own blanket? And maybe a hugging pillow and you get to choose your bunk?
Yes you can and sometimes they’ll let you pick your own punk but usually they’ll just issue them out to people.
Very cool insight, thanks for doing it
No stalls in the old days, just a row of toilets.
Interesting lifestyle. My son is married with three children and he serves in the U.S. Air Force. He’s a Technical Sargent. I think it’s a E-8. God bless you. May our Lord grant you peace and Joy as you serve our country. You’re a beautiful young Lady. Godspeed!
Gross, a minority
Why do you need a Teddy bear?
some of the best sleep i ever had in life was in my rack, that rolling and rocking puts you to sleep real good
Thank you for serving, shipmate! Joining the Navy was the best thing I ever did, well, next to marrying my wife and becoming a Christian, but I met my wife and rededicated my life to Christ in the Navy. You'll never regret this, I hope, though I know everyone's experience is different. Where I was, we were in hazardous duty stations in the 80s and my rate, OTA, was the only place women could serve where they might have to fight. I was in the Ground Defense Force in Iceland (Naval Infantry) and my squad was all females in a fighting hole and we always won. 😂 they were kick ass! I know it's been a year but I hope your career is going good.
My career is going great sir. I’m a CS2 on a career. Thank you so much for sharing your story and as always thank you for your service 🫡❤️
Awesome 💯
ZERO reason for a female sailor to be on a navy warship…….NOTHING BUT TROUBLE YES, I’m an old Salt…….🤷🏼♂️
Strongly agree
I remember when my father was in the navy women were not allowed to be on navy ships or go on sea duty. This changed around he was set to retire
It can't be bad living on a carrier. One of my uncle's done it for 24 years.
like ya know and alright so. Amazing vocabulary
Good and informing Video. Thanks for your service.
Looks like an older carrier
A lot of us old timers may agree with this. And please, no offence to you who took the watch. That's a 5 star hotel compared to our berthing's.
Very nice , if you have a chance visit the USS MIDWAY , times have changed thank you for your service and your videos ❤️
