Josh is so wise ... and hilarious. I am thankful for the laughs he gives me. I can only imagine what it's like for those that get to be around him often.
Flew in from Malaysia 🇲🇾 to Melbourne just to see them for the 2nd time. Met a kid who came to the concert on his own and I asked him what’s one song you would want to hear tonight? He said ‘ I appear missing’ and they played that as the song request. Our jaws dropped. It was a killer set and I wished there was Headache, Better living, Reg John. But then again, they have too many bangers and would need at least a 3 hour setlist to satisfy the most die hard fans like us. Definitely going for a few shows the next time! Already miss them so much. The greatest fkin band on 🌍
I appear missing was my track request at Melbourne!! Was so shocked they played it. Stoked that it's other people's favourite too!! I agree I hope to get to more shows next tour 🤞🤞
They opened with regular John when they played in Brisbane the other night!! Was so happy because the times I've seen them they've never played anything off of the self titled! They also played how to handle a rope which I loved Hope you had a great time 😊
They were playing i appear missing fairly regularly after like clockwork...its a shame they retired it for this tour aside from one request. id rather hear i appear missing than any of the new stuff
Check out the Alligator Hour radio/podcast he did for a long time, he chooses all the tracks on it and has silly conversations in between the songs with different guests. Wish he still did it. You really get a taste for the range of musical taste he has
"I wasn't done, started a children hospital to murder as many children as he could." THIS is why i love this man. Only rock star left, AND a sense of humor.
Awww man. When he was talking about the breastfeeding mother and making sure to help her out...he was talking about his past marriage and his mistakes. I'm glad he can see clearly these days. Love this band immensely.
I really love and appreciate when bands change their setlist up and have a diverse one. Queens of the Stone Age does an incredible job at that. I hate when bands play only the hits/the same boring setlist show after show; it’s the worse. It’s awesome to hear lesser known and underrated songs instead of the ones the vast majority know.
Great interview thanks. It's not easy to get Josh to just open up. Had the honour to see Queens play two nights in a row in brissie, just before they flew across the ditch to you guys. Had my parner, our 18 year old son and his best mate as well. Got second row nearly centre. Was without doubt the best rock show I've ever, ever seen. The size of the venue played a part but the boys just went off. I'm still buzzing, still getting teamed up when I think of it. Thay kicked of the night with No One Knows which was my first qotsa song. And it was all up from there. Best night ever!
@@brandonchinga mate not wanting to rub it in at all as you missed but this was amazing. The small brissie venue made seem personal in a sence. Other big bands I've seen are ACDC, PEARL JAM & TOOL in 2020. Tool was amazing, but this, wow. Four days later and watching the vids people have uploaded of the brissie show and it just takes me back again. Just didn't want it to end. Sorry you didn't get there. But good news, they are playing about 20 shows in Canada. Lol, sorry.
@@hillbillyhogdogger4533 ahah all good bro, great to hear that you had a blast. I've watched many live performances online of qotsa but never in person. Really wanted to go but was iffy about going by myself But I'm sure there will be another day... can't miss them again!
I looked their touring itinerary a d found the last show to be in Portugal. Told the missus I'd sell the rocket 3 and fly over there for their last show of this tour. Of course that then would give me the opportunity to buy the new rocket 3 when I got back. Lol Mate what I saw of the crowd was awesome. Everybody just had a ball and was amazingly accepting of everyone.
Great advice from josh. When Bork quit I got a call from his manager wishing and hoping I was a great drummer. Damn I blew it. I went on their bus with managers husband in 95’ and they were all eating ham n cheese sandwiches cause they had a nice bud but no money for food. Their managers husband changed my life back in early 90’s. Brought so many mushrooms into Vegas. Haha. Thank cruchfield. You paid for my healing arts degree. Kyuss rules !!! And again. The parenting advice. Amazing. Good guy
We saw qotsa in Perth Feb 10 at Red Hill & it was the most extraordinary show I've ever seen , the band was absolutely locked in like never before & just enjoying playing. It was a real treat , you never knew what was coming next. It was so good....
I love these lads so much, having the honour and pop to follow them during the Australian leg of the tour was magical, gonna try get my passport and get a better job just so I can keep watching these lads play overseas. Queens are 100% a band that is unlike any other live or otherwise (what’s a bad album?) miss you lads, come back to aus again soon 🖤
Queens of the stone age is just dave grohl telling josh it be an awesome idea to start a band around the idea of highway star but a shure 57 mic'd to joshes mouth balancing on a plank over the empire state building

They played Headache for me in Seattle after I screamed for it three or so times....It was the first time in nearly a decade! I was so pumped!

Great chat, Josh is always fun
Awesome pfp
I just love that Josh loves ween. Josh hugged me in Adelaide and I got to meet Troy at cry baby bar. Speechless
Dean Ween worked together with Josh at the Desert Sessions 9 & 10. There is mutual respect and love between them.

But it’s sad he has a weird court order that his kids mother can’t see them.

I saw them play Do It Again in Vegas some years back. I didn't expect it, and it was so well done!
the setlist at the dublin gig was biblical!
We danced a whole in the arena floor! I dislocated a hip shaking my ass!
Gross
If they play I Appear Missing at the upcoming concert I’m going to, I will literally cry.
If they play Misfit Love, I will be forever grateful.
I saw them in Milwaukee in 2013 when it first came out, they played it and I literally did cry.
Who else is ready to watch The Wedding Singer like a hawk to glimpse Mikey Shoes? 😄
Ohhh it is ON! Mikey Shoes was maybe 14(?) yrs old when that was made... Making me feel both like it'll be hard to spot him and also that I am OLD 😅

This interview was Jermaine Clement interviewing Queens of the Stone Age! Especially the Villains or Good guy bit!

I didn’t like fair weather friends. Out of all their songs, that’s the only one I don’t like.
play Misfit Love
People grow. Thanks for keeping it going. You guys are coming into your OWN. OWN IT
QOTSA mix hits and deep cuts without any problems and they have the best shows period...
What a difference from the Foo Fighters!
what a difference between 99% of bands!
NIN, The Strokes, Radiohead always change their setlists @@wayblu2799

I think it's wild that an Adam Sandler movie from 1998 (the same year Qotsa released their first album) played a role in making who they are today
Homme-Humor, love it, smart & stoopid at the same time "the Awfultower"! 😂😂😂 Love these Guys and the Band!
"I believe heavily in firing myself first" 😅😅😅
Sydney Shows were sick. still amped
Been finishing with Songs for the Deaf for like ever. A fan would know that.
I could listen to josh and mikey shoot the shit jist as long as i could watch them rock the stage.
the bronze should be added to every single queens set from here to eternity period
How about "I Never Came" or "Tangled Up In Plaid" ?
My two absolute favorite from them!

Josh Homme is a fucking legend.
Giving gifts to interviewees? This is a nice homage to Nardwuar.
Great interview, great band! Josh's responses are so quick and funny haven't laughed so much for ages!
Plot twist with the interviewing busting out a 3rd shirt
Very convincing laugh Bryce
Caught them in Christchurch, irrefutably the best live band I've ever seen!
And where’s my Tshirt? I’d enjoy that as well, smaller size please. 😉💕💕 Interesting chat. Thank you for sharing this story with us. Looking good!❤
Great interview ❤❤ Y'alls did miss a great opportunity to drop a "At least we'll always have Paris!" on Josh 😅
loving that josh loves Ween. Fuck yeah!
So does the bassist of Wavves
Every show I’ve seen on video has been great. I missed the Sydney show. I got sick. 😢
Can't wait to them Saturday the 13th
Love the whole rush hour series... Jackie & Josh... My heros 😂🤔 wait... that's true 🤔😐
Great interview!
I think it would be safe to say that Queens of the Stone Age has saved Rock and Roll
Them and King Gizzard for sure. They've released 25 albums and change up their setlists every show
I cried when they played I appear missing in wellington.
I did too! Glad I wasn't the only one
To be fair they haven't changed the setlist *that* much this tour
La mejor banda de rock!!!!
The answers are a LOT better than the questions
Mission accomplished
13:13 Mikey goes into some 3rd dimension 😮
I love you Josh ❤
I nearly tried that phone number 😂
I thought Josh was going to ask if Mikey sent in that last question hahaha JKS
Play Broken Box you're too scared Qotsa.
😂
great song, great album
They never play You've Got A Killer Scene There and I suspect it's for the same reason...
are these guys using the same hair products now? haha

Okay. Josh has a serious fan here! He laughed at each and every joke. Just the best interview!
The older they get, the more they look like Brothers 🫶🏼 #mikey #littlebrother
Qotsa are very hard to beat in a live performance for any band
As someone who doesn't know the difference between the Australian and NZ accent, which ones are most prone to say "ee" instead of "eh"?
I'm glad that they don't play the same thing every time. It's cool to see the same band multiple times and hear different songs.
so is he sober now
From the harder drugs I think yes. He used to do speedballs and meth back in his younger days. I think he still likes smoking pot and still drinking
Fun machine is the all time greatest and it's no where for me to listen to but UA-cam.
We have all gotten so old
Chili Peppers need to learn from these guys. Holy fuck have their setlists gotten boring.
hail boognish!
Krass….was hat Mike für ne Sexy Stimme 😍
Rush Hour 3 please... JFC
Oh goodness Josh. You're turning in to Jesse Hughes! Y'all look like twins.
this guy has the most annoying laugh which is, unfortunately, louder than what the mic got out of Josh. terrible interview.
Always tries to interject every time Josh takes a break to breathe mid sentence or has a comma lol. It’s annoying.
Could definitely find a better interviewer.. subject matter isn’t the problem.
Bryce Casey is more boring than church.
