Going to go see QOTSA in Omaha in September, Josh is my favorite musician and is my a huge inspiration to what I love to make in music, as it’s not what the people want, it’s what you love and want to hear
I love this interview and also listen to Rolling in the deep but the version Chester Bennington sung as a cover. So many things that show how amazing this band is to me that sets them apart from other bands is they work as a team with no job being better than. The pirate ship imagery works best to explain the kind of person Josh Homme is. A gentleman who respects others so much he let's everyone have equal value in the band. This is rare to find. This also is why the band sounds so good, just everyone having a good time and no egos. David Bowie influences definitely I love as well. One of my favorite bands of all time and love every album, lyrically as well ❤💯🤘
Right? I love this lineup. I know some people complain about Joey and Nick not being there, but I feel like the group as it stands now is a brotherhood. I love each and every single one of them. I just love Josh a little extra LOL.
Agree on every word about this comment but......no egos? It's full of egos indeed, I can properly tell who's playing what...the thing is their egos are glued together to be one only entity named just queens of the Stone Age.
Ifs funny because I think one could easily mistake Josh's laidback demeanour in this interview as just his regular unphased rockstar thing... But he's really not doing so good here. He needs a hug man 😂
I've never completely understood his vibes. But he has got a present on stage but u can't keep your eyes off him. In my opinion, if u properly listed underneath the music has a very interesting groove. They r completely different to what I normally listen to. But that is the reason why I love music. I would love to hang out with him & Dave Grohl just talking & drinking ciders & chocolate limes. & me behind the drums even though I can't play to save my life. His music is probably 50% because of where he grew up.
when josh was talking about the vampire of time & memory i know there's the positive way of looking at his wife/ex saying "who cares" but the way josh said "oh yea who cares" & i know he said it helped but his response sounded sad to me. with how josh seems with other artists & how often he seems to encourage other artists & i've never heard ne1 other than her claim that he had a problem artistically/musically in an egotistical manner. i know he threatened that guy or whatever but ppl do push other ppl to extremes & we don't know how things really r for ppl in their personal lives. nething that josh touches artistically has been great imo & to a lot of others & he works with big ass names which means a lot to ppl, when you think of great rock bands you think of queens along with others. when you think of great punk bands do the distillers come to mind as quickly as the queens? yea they're there but it's forgettable as fuck to me. just saying.
I hate mainstream media interviews. They're so lame to start with, and on top of it you can see they're always angling at something, trying to get the interviewee to reveal something they don't really want to reveal. If this was a true music fan doing the interview like Rick Biato, we would have gotten some truly interesting answers from Josh, and he wouldn't look so uncomfortable.
I heard Josh in an interview that his heart wasn’t in it anymore. If you’ve ever been in a band and in this happens, you typically get fired. You guys clearly have never been in a band. JT is far more superior anyway.
We recorded where the Toadies recorded we used to play all over TCU area in Dallas Deep Ellum area and needs to play at Joe's Garage where Pantera used to play I've been a band all my life silly
@@brianvicornonvictimbear1304 😂So you’re an expert on what JH thinks is best for his band? Jon Theodore makes Joey Castillo look like a midget trying to play basketball. Oh and save your music resume, I’ve been playing in bands for over 20 years. It still doesn’t make you an expert on other ppls shit. Hope you’ve learned something here today.
i've had the same idea of not having expectations for music & a lot of things in life but i feel like it's just a cop out, it's a defense mechanism so that you don't get hurt, a comfort zone/safe space. i also honestly think relating music & religion is really a terrible thing to do. it's already been tainted with the pursuit of $& fame, to + religion is what i think is really killing it not the fans, fucking gene simmons :}. always fighting over who's the "best=god" , who's word is supreme: "rock is dead, punk is dead, love is dead, don't listen to this but listen to me, do what i say, do what i say, don't do what i say..." it's soiled it & made it such an ugly thing.
"He's an old queen, actually." Without missing a beat. Always so quick with a witty response!
Imagine seeing Josh Homme and Mark Lanegan in a movie theatre!!! RIP DARK MARK
That lady is fucking gorgeous.
Right?!? Like, it’s insane how beautiful she is.
lol, i know!
She has a lactating video 😜
Fun fact: she actually acted in the Mr.Bean Movie👀
Looks alot like a young Demi Moore...
Both of them were just thinking “God, she’s so beautiful”
Fantastic interview. Josh needs to come out of his hole and tour.
Yes indeed, I hope he is doing well after everything that he went through recently, such an amazing talent.
He will. Watch.
Well would you look at that!
Are you from the future or sum
@@Evanmnm Yes. Already seen them once this tour and they were insane. Seeing them again next month 🤘🏼
Josh Homme is such a babe!
Mantra from Sound City is such an awesome track. I love it. Finally, some decent interview questions.
Long live the Queens ❤🐍🤘🏻🔥

These questions are presumptive and strange. She's getting away with a lot of snyde shit.
What? Not at all just very blunt. Also that’s how they speak where she is from. Nothing rude at all. She had raw real questions.
Go twelve, watch your six!
Who is this interviewer ??
Emma de Caunes

@@chadwickwright2833 nah Joey was the perfect fit for Queens, Jon is amazingly great but somehow manages to play their songs kinda weak tbh
I don’t like the fact that was she flirty with them all while she was married to Jamie Hewlett for the past 2 years
I think she is just nice and pretty. Beautiful women get mistaken for flirting when they are just being nice all the time
