Pretty sure this was the only waitress that Gordon has ever disliked.
He felt 0 sympathy for her.... And she deserved less
@@rasmusskjdt3886 I mean in the sense that he lost all respect for her and was pissed off when she tried to defend Martin.

Seriously! Was thinking the same thing. The way he stood up from his seat when Martin came parading in with his pleas at the owner was just something to watch.

And usually Gordon treats the waitstaff with tremendous kindness and respect. A server has to *really* screw up to get anything less from him.
and the wrong person's side. Guess we know who "butters her bread"
The reason Martin was angry all the time was because someone caught on to his scam.
I always enjoy when theres a british or a french man on the american show and gordon starts using insults from europe, and the only people who really appreciate the insults are are gordon and whoever he is yelling at.

let's be fair, you can't compare cooking a single dish at home which you can give your full attention to, with trying to cook 5+ different things at the same time.
Plus in a restaurant there's the pressure to get it right, cooks have have been going at it for hours and you do not want to leave customers waiting. At home you can take your sweet time and only have yourself to answer to.

Respect to Mohammad, he knew they needed a change to the restaurant and he didn't try to argue with Gordon, but he listened to his advice and actually listened to him.
But Gordon didn't actually help and I assume never really intended to. It was more about his own hype, which explains a lot about what kind of person he is. He was there to criticize in the first place, and not in a constructive way, since most restaurants featured in his show had to close down after all, including this one.
@@allesindwillkommen What do you mean ? Is pointing out things that they're doing wrong not helping? He is teaching them the same that he was taught.
@@TheTwitchybird I mean his visits were not some private coaching sessions to help the restaurants out, but rather a public and commercial action to earn money and reputation for himself on behalf of others. You can tell the GM was looking around in Gordon’s kitchen like a man now I have to work I can’t answer my phone lol
Martin should consider a career as an actor. Cool to see this place be changed around.
If you ever feel useless, just think about Martin the Manager.
#feeluselessquote
that makes me feel so much better
Lmao
when Martin said he was guilty of nothing and Gordon "did you forget about the first day I was here" (paraphrasing)
Alao all other stuffs.
This basement is one of the more nightmarish I’ve seen in any episode and Gordon is just displaying the cockroaches like it’s a horror petting zoo. I love it.
He didn't even bother to take off his $13,000 watch whilst touching all that rotten infested food!🤦♂️🤣
This episode, to this day, gives me pause about Indian restaurants. If they don't look sparkling, I won't go in still.
@@nickp.4995 As an Indian from India, I agree with you... Our food always need to be served hot and with a lots of components to add in it, it requires hygiene to start a restaurant buisness. US too in India don't eat from outside since some use cheap alternatives to cost cut the dish so we prepare in our home. In order to taste Indian food either visit India or go for a dine from 1 of your Indian friend.
@@shubhankardasgupta4777 I live in an area that has a massive Indian population, so Indian restaurants are everywhere. Indian people eat out there and not other foods types all the time though. Its pretty rare to see Indians eating at a burger place or any other cultural restaurant in this area, they just jam pack the Indian restaurants.
I have one thing to say cokroaches are not scary they are kinda cute
Martin was so intimidated that he sued Gordon afterwards for defamation, where he claimed Gordon was a trained killer/former SAS (British special forces, iirc).
Also, the chef they brought in ended up becoming very successful off this appearance, appearing in various cooking shows and, iirc, opening his own restaurant.
him and andrew remained good friends and business partners, which was nice to hear.
the way Gordon pointed out how manipulative Martin is and he IMMEDIATELY started rubbing the owners shoulders and started whispering in his ear that he's been nothing but loyal and respectful etc. It literally cannot get more cliche, It's so textbook "manipulative villain trying to pull the strings from the shadows by getting under the Kings skin." lmao.
Yo I thought this was an exaggeration when I read it then almost immediately it happened in the episode like wtf that guy is such a joke lol I can't believe what I just saw with my own eyes
Frr
He is Wormtongue if he worked in a restaurant
😭😭😭
@@Windwalker88 Dude... I was literally about to say that 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Martin is honestly one of, if not the strangest man I've ever seen on Kitchen Nightmares. Gave me such a strange vibe, just by the way he talks. Was so glad when he left.
Because he's fake and a liar. As a fellow Englishman it's really easy to see. I think his accent masks his disgusting personality to those who haven't grown up around it.
@@cookeymonster83 I'm English and I clocked it so early. No one talks like that.
@@Sebastian-lz8pu he’s probably heard on Reddit that American women love the English accent, so he’s laying it on thick
After i graduated HS found out that my art teacher for 4 years was sexually harrassing all his female students online. The vibes i had gotten from him when i was in class are the same im getting from Martin.
I also think maybe he's faking his accent the entire time because at some moment, I faintly heard his real accent which is American.
38:08 I f*cking love how they clipped it together in such a painfully obvious fashion
Martin was such a fake. He practically begged for his job when he heard Gordon suggest he should be fired but then it only took an argument with Gordon riling him up for him to quit on the spot. Ridiculous.
Martin is 10 million percent a slimy little creep. I wouldn't trust him to run a bath. Urgh.
“I’m not gonna say anything negative about this restaurant but, I don’t understand this restaurant”
How kind of him, there’s a million things he could say but he chooses not to be negative
Truly a great guy. Involved in plenty of philanthropy too.
Because he knows millions will watch and he can afford to have future employment opportunities taken away if somebody hears him say awful things
@@unnamedchannel1237 it's actually an old-time etiquette: Don't talk ill about the company you're currently employed at to outsiders.
@@iampoch01 Or not even the company you no longer work for, unless you have a really good reason
@@unnamedchannel1237 i don't think he's worried about employment lol he's a Michelin star chef and has his own restaurants
I laughed so hard when Gordon had on his pest control outfit because he looked like a character out of Ghostbusters lol!
