    The box is great. Like how you used the walnut insert for strength, contrast and to minimize discontinuities between the grain pattern.

      Thanks! I figured with as many spalting lines as there was I woudln't be able to match everything so I decided to add the insert!

    That's a novel idea (to me) about the contrasting ring of wood. It's sets the box apart and my next box and bowl might just have that feature. Good video and I enjoy your work.

    Love the rubber glove idea! Being rubber, it's less likely to slip than a paper towel (which is what I've always used in the past). Thanks, Robert. That's definitely one for me to try.

    Nice job Robert. The wood looks like some spalted cottonwood I turned a couple years ago. (probably not as soft as the cottonwood....it was a mess!)
