Thanks for commenting. More of Zal @ Cropredy Festival on this channel. In fact, he has the most views out of my 370+ uploads (along with Ken Pustelnick's Groundhogs another of my favourite bands). I went to see Zal at the Whitby Rock Festival (1 day) but the band broke up just before the date, so Ken's band stepped up to headline & played the whole of the album 'Thank Christ For The Bomb' & John Verity Band (Argent) stood in at last moment & gave a great performance (see uploads). I didn't see SAHB back in the day, I did see Alex playing at the 1979 Glastonbury Festival, solo & with Steve Hillage, Peter Gabriel, Phil Collins, Nona Hendryx, John Martyn & Tom Robinson + a guy I cannot recognise, (I have photos I took at the time). Please click 'like' & subscribe if you do like & want to.
I'd love to know why Zal broke up the band & I wish I had seen him in an indoor venue & I now know I should've bought the album while I had the chance, still I keep looking online & at record fairs & hopefully one day I will find one. Thanks for commenting. There are more uploads from this gig on my channel.
It's Zal Cleminson lead guitarist, not the singer, Alex was the singer in The Sensational Alex Harvey Band. Zal famously wore the makeup of a mime artist hence the makeup he is wearing in the video (the partial mime makeup).
@@thelastperfectman4139 You're exactly right! The only exception that immediately comes to mind for me is Miss Dolly Parton! I recently saw Joanie Mitchell perform at The Grammy Awards show and her voice has definitely deepened, (due to age), even though she could often and easily achieve very low notes in her prime! Thank you for your response. You are 💯
Probably the most undederrated, overlooked and unrecognised guitarist on the planet.
Better than ace. I met this man as a teenager now I am 68. There is no better guitarist thanks for putting it up.

Amazing!
Top hat and goggles😂( not talkin about Zal his goggles and hat can be used in an apocalyptis senario ,the bass player)
Nelson McFarlane was obviously going for the steampunk look.🤔
Captain Beefheart fan.

Don't know if this is Zak? In The Sensational Alex Harvey Band he was always falsetto...
Seen em backing up Jethro Tull in Van BC

He did sing mostly, but not always in falsetto voice while is SAHB. As one gets older, (some not all), our singing range may diminish some.
@@maryreilly5092yeah most singers voices deepen as they age. Think of Bowie in the 1970s vs Bowie in the 2000’s-much deeper singing voice.
