This piece was never released on Australia. Didn't know that as a kid when i was pouring over my Star Wars catalogue that came with my collectors case and wishing for one. Finally got one about a dozen years ago and whilst mostly complete I have spent time slowly collecting the missing pieces and doing repairs (none of the tabs on my top floor were intact so I had to re engineer it). Thanks god for 3D printers.
I loved that elevator. The way the rounded door slid open and closed was the coolest feature. The hours I would spend with my action figures piled into that station.
My absolute favorite toy growing up and i had all the classics. I lost several farm Luke heads to that swing. For some reason they would pop off when he fell off it.
Such a nice playset I wanted it back then but my parents never bought it I once biuilt one with several shoe boxes it was fun. Seceral years later I found one almost complete with box and several star wars vehicles for 12$ Still missing minor pieces but wow such a nice playset
I think if you did an actual review of these toys, especially the rare one. With some explaining your channel would blow up. Not a criticism by the way. I just subscribed.
@@StarWarsIntriguedThanks for the reply. If you can find the seller name, it would be very helpful because searching Etsy for custom Death Star decals brings up hundreds of options.
Now all they can make is WAY OVER priced diarama pieces with no action features or play value. If the would redo this for the retro line they would make a ton of money.

I got one for Christmas also. One of my favorites.
Oh, how I loved this toy! The cannon, the elevator, the trash compactor - it was the pinnacle of my six-year-old existence.

Nice to see those custom @toypolloi stickers. You should print out and laminate his custom mat for the base and try his fix for your canon.
Keep it up Bro 🤜🤛💯👍!
had it. The best part was the trash compactor

Where did you get the custom stickers for the tractor beam area? I didn’t see them on Toy Polloi.
I got them off a vendor on Etsy… unfortunately I don’t remember which one as it was a while ago… I’ll see if I can find out though…

No one would be able to afford it today.
Unfortunately Hasbro aren't making toys aimed at kids anymore. They're aiming at us adults and trying to empty our wallets.
