Junkman's been drinking too much Jawa Juice 🍸
I have a Fisher-Price play set that they used the figures from. Had it as a child and later bought the same one at a toy auction. Two guys, a Jeep, a tent, sleeping bags, a canoe, boat motor, couple paddles.
I like the look of that Imperial troop transport and it has an X-Wing engine on the top
Capable of Flight or supersonic speed?
That Death Squad Commander prototype was clearly intended to be a TIE Fighter Pilot and not a Death Squad Commander at all.
yeah it does look more like a TIE pilot, but it is labeled as the Death Squad Commander.
@@indigoyarkindell968 kind of hard to tell which one Kenner intentioned to release first.
I love FP adventure people. So cool that's what they used for inspiration for the first wave of star wars figures
😮...Please don't be dead, Junkman...😥 You gotta give us part two to this video...💯✔
I never had an Obi Wan Kenobi figure as a kid
I did however have an Adventure People figure that looked a lot like Obi Wan Kenobi so I used that instead
Rest in peace. Jabba will pay!
I still have the droid factory complete with blueprints. The 3 leg R2 was better than the original.
"now here's the Gorton's Fisherman."
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Junkman, you kill me. 🤣🤣🤣
Tomorrow we will learn that the Junkmans knock to the noggin has given him total recall on where he buried his Star Wars figures at as a kid. Prompting him to get off his rear and go dig them up.
Awesome pics of the prototypes. Thank you
The prototype taken raider looks like Zuckuss while the prototype death squad commander looks like a shadow trooper with a really stretched helmet
A cool detail that no one notices is that in the Mandalorian they actually showed the troop transport, which means its actual star wars canon.
It was canonized in rebels
I wondered if you had a video about these. Wonder how many of those red walrus man figures they made before changing to the color that most people got. We know they made quite a few tall blue Snaggletooths. Greedo is also different; he has blue at his neck. Hammerhead looks the same; maybe a different shade for his tunic. I'm glad they gave Han a table to sit at for his "fight" with Greedo. But it mean the bar had to be shorter.
Not only does that prototype Jabba look great, but his color scheme almost looks more like his first appearance in the ANH Special Edition edit than he does in ROTJ. Weird.
fun fact, kenner redid the cantina playset for their 'real west' (rebranded after the failed 'butch cassidy and the sundance kid' line based on the failed movie) line to be a saloon. the figure moulds would later be used for 'indiana jones' figures.
I still have the Adventure People diver, as well as a couple Husky figures that are older than I am. The poses of the prototypes are very obviously from the Fisher Price line(s).
I don’t know how to explain this but this channel brings me joy and cheers me up after a bad day.
Someone probably already commented this but I didnt see it so..On Netflix there's a series called "The toys that made us".And the SW episode is beyond great!.It goes all into the early mockups and prototypes.Plus a ton of great stories to go along with them..It's an amazing show!
That Power Droid just gave me a thought. I never got the figure. I had and still have a lot of figures, but it just blows my mind that I didn't pick up some of those guys when they were right there in the stores and a couple of dollars away from being mine.
Bossk, Death Star Droid, 2-1B, Greedo, Princess Leia from Hoth and Han in his Bespin uniform. I had the primary characters and all the cannon fodder other than the X-Wing Pilot though (Rebel Soldier, Rebel Commander, Rebel Commando, and all the stormtrooper variations).
“And until the…n…”
Death by Jabba. “Taken out by one of the toys I loved the most as a kid, who knows maybe I’ll be back tomorrow.”
The Fate of That Junkman, Case Solved!
The dewback looks like the dinosaur from the flintstones.🤣
Dear Junkman, it's me Randy again, I got to looking at all the different Jabba The Hutt characters that I have collected the first one was released in 1983 then 1997, 2 different Jabba figures in 1999, 2004, 2009, 2010 then 2 more in 2019. So what I realised watching your video that there were 2 different Jabba's that was released.. in 1983.. I bought a Jabba in 1983 & it had yellow eyes... My cousin gave me hers and it had red eyes. So alot of people do not know, That the makers did change the eye color on the 1983 Jabba figure, but that was the only difference between them. Maybe someone from Kenner will see my post on your UA-cam channel and say.."Ya This Guyz right!"... Because they did change the color of the eyes for some weird reason. Anyways, Love your UA-cam Channel Junkman! Love ya Brother! -Me
Wake up junkman!!!
I know all that could be and never was.
-There is no greater sorrow, than to recall all our times of joy and wretchedness
And the Oscar goes to....... Junkman for his prototype star wars video.
Damned original Jabba's were dangerous. You gotta watch those things! Both my lil brothers can tell you of mysterious Jabba shaped lumps on the back of their heads that they'd suddenly wake up lying on the floor with...
I've never heard someone mention (but maybe they did somewhere below?) THAT ON THE PACKAGE JABBA ACTUALLY WAS PAINTED! and not just one lazy solid colour! Take a look at the box and then tell me who has that one in their collection!!!!!
Looking at the storm troopers trousers I'd say he's ready for disco.
Kenner used the Fisher Price Adventure people figures for their prototype Star Wars figures.
I still have all of them, except the millennium falcon.
They're also for sale!
Aaaaaah .....,the memories
I bet there's a weapon bouncing around in your Jabba!
I loved the Power Droid
I prefer the original jabba cuz that's the one I grew up with too.
I was wondering if the dewback prototype was kit-bashed from the Mego 1 Million B.C. Dimetrodon dino.. I asked a mego expert guy but this was unconfirmed. Maybe just the top portion of the head, tail and hind legs but only a little.
Ah! These were the days when I loved the Junkman's channel; the channel was so rich in Star Wars content. Before the dark times. Now days, the Junkman only talks about Pokemon, toys he hates and how he misses K-Mart.
I hate no toys :)
Great video, it's fun and interesting to see these prototypes. And to hear Larry again! He's been silent for too long:)
Gotta love the sideburns on that Luke figure, and the swag pants on the trooper fig.
"Ponda Boo-Boo"
BEST
NAME
EVER
i could of had jabba several times as a kid but always left him behind just wasn't mobile enough for me to play with and not even mencing enough to use as a monster for my GI Joes
R.I.P. Junkman. Taken out by his own junk.
WE LOVE YOUR RAMBLE, did you get your Sci Fi crack today
Do you remember the star wars drawing competition long long time ago you had to send in to win some star wars goodies i came runner up and got a brand new figure :D .
The junk Man died doing what her loved . Well at least he didn't choke on one of the small pieces. So all the episodes after this one we are actually watching Force ghost Junk Man.
I would like to know if the dewback mockup was an existing toy or if it was a unique sculpt.
I don’t believe it as an existing one
Your Jabba ate your Salacious Crumb.
That micro Jabba proto type I would have loved to be released. Cheers Junkman👍🍻
Junkman I love your dry sense of humor.
I want the bell bottomed stormtrooper!
The rebel troop transporter was on Yavin 4.
no it was not, sorry
@@ThatJunkman I meant this thing not the imperial one, that was just issued as a toy. The Rebels had a rubbish looking transporter.

There are pictures of a toy too.

Damn I just got a déjà vu...I saw the photo of the dew back prototype before...can someone remind me where the picture was taken from? I believe it was on some cardback or maybe on a box or something...actually from my childhood I only know the Dino dewback...never saw the lizard one in the shops here...
Junkman, wake up! Otherwise Lumpy Bacca's gonna have to go on in your place! Again!!! :)
Loved the micro collection.
prototypes had the adventure people Gangnam style pose
I had the imperial troop transport. The box said it talked, but mine didn't.
I thought your heart pills were shaking in that Jabba...
It's Jabba's barista cousin, Java the Hutt.
Great video, Junkman! I love this kind of stuff.
Those are Adventure People
I want the ELVIS HAN SOLO!!!
That Jabba prototype looks better
Forgive me if it’s mentioned elsewhere, but I feel like rocket-firing Boba Fett and Wiebba-Wiebba (Jabba’s three-breasted dancer) are important to Star Wars prototypes
God how many original stars figures did they make???
The prototype R2 looks better than the actual R2. :D
It always amazed me how bad the Kenner R2 was
Do we have to wait three years to find out what happened like Star Wars?
As Christopher Walken said more grebelies
So we decided to sub up
Do you physically own any of these? Great research!
It sounded like “brain allergy.” Which made me crack up.
I like The Junkman's take on "Sunset Blvd."
Pretty cool video
Obi wan Kenobi looks the best prototype
Am I right or am I right. Those prototypes look like the power of the force 2 figures. They sure look bulky.
The troop transport looks great...I prefer it to the actual release
The prototype Chewbacca is holding the Mattel Space: 1999 laser rifle.
I'd love to see a part 2
great video junkman and i wonder those prototypes still out there
Will you return as a "Force Ghost" ?????
You can't die!
You have 837 thousand more holes to dig for the in search of Star Wars videos.
Still don't see Lamont.
That Imperial Troop Transport looked a lot meaner than the one we got. Weird that they gave it an obvious X-Wing engine. I'm all for a second part. Cool video.Take care Junkman.
I've seen these before and nobody looks at the Storm Trooper and see's what I see.The Trooper is wearing bell bottoms.
Hi junk man
I always hated one pieces of something would shake around in my toys.
Return of the Jedi never made a profit until Jabba comes back to haunt fanboys by possessing toys
Why is he called a power droid? Is he a walking battery?
Basically, that’s what it was, yeah.
He has a fusion reactor core inside him. According to old role-playing game.
Shit! Killed by a space slug!
Will it be young or old JunkMan, when you return as a force ghost ;+?
You better not come back as Hayden Christensen.
Great video and yes I would love to see more like these........if you’re still alive of course 🤷🏼♂️ 🤞🏼
Lay off the deathsticks ;)
Interesting stuff! Please make another video about prototypes. Also, thank you for not using the word "iconic" every 5 minutes like some toy video guys do. It's driving me bonkers..
lol not even sure why they would.
Fs in the chat boys...
Made from play mobile characters
Ha ha great
No! Aw! Jabba looks better in the prototype. I never liked the release.
The beginning of your video creep me out because I should be dead myself I'm Peter 48 years old and was born with a whole in my heart and had a blood clot which caused a stroke on my left side of my body back in April of 2006 and then on September first of 2008 I didn't wake up that morning I had a cardiac arrest which both my cat Nemo and my now ex wife Angy saved my life I'm still using a cane for balance when I'm outside walking around and have a defibulator in my chest
My guess
BRAD.
Glad to see the "spirit" of that Junkman can still operate a keyboard and mouse and leave hearts 👍😀🤣🤣🤣🤣😉
first?
I thought Fred would be the first to go. Since you're gone now I guess I have to unsubscribe.
