Not that anyone asked, but for those of us who grew up in the 80s, this song was always included in our "romantic" playlist 😘 nothing hotter than power ballads
This song is special to my wife and I . We had some problems early in our marriage but we worked them out . We will celebrate our 50th anniversary in August . Only love will get us through anything .
The Scorpions are definitely one of the best, hard rock/metal bands from the 70s and 80s(and beyond)! This was a huge power ballad for them. Other songs I would recommend would be The Zoo, Big City Nights, Rock You Like a Hurricane. So many awesome songs by The Scorpions!
Ah yes...The Zoo!...great track. I recently re-discovered the song 'Animal Magnetism'.. forgot how awesome it is. It has a really badass and kinda sexy vibe to it. I think the boys might enjoy that one. 'Blackout' is pretty much a banger. Then you have the epic 'Sails Of Charon' which in my opinion isn't really for everyone. That's pretty much a Scorpions favorite for guitar players. Uli John Roth might have been the baddest player of the 70's. I still haven't been able to play the intro solo up to speed with zero sloppiness.
Actually in this case "the wall" is a little more personal, "Your pride has built a wall so strong that I can't get through", the wall is around your heart
Yup, this song dropped in 1984, and they (and all of us) saw the wall fall in 89. This song is on the Love At First Sting album. A fantastic album. If i remember correctly there's not a bad song on it. Klaus' vocals pretty much unmatched for pure talent, with very few exceptions. The guy must be an alien, i swear. This band produced a lot of good music.
@@TheAgentAssassin Not really, some people want it to mean the Berlin Wall or some other deeper thing, usually to show how smart they are, but it wasn't about anything political or any other real physical wall, it was just a metaphorical one.
@Aaaaaie I was at Wembley stadium for that concert. At the time I lived in a small town called Bexhill on sea on the southeast coast of England. Me and my friend went to London to see Guns N’ Roses and Skid Row. The basketball talk shit about the mayor of London that day. But they recorded a live version of living that guy that died.
Listened to this song hundreds of times and it still gives me chills. Second guy from the left in the black tee felt the heck out of that song. I could see it hit him hard just like millions of us around the world. Scorpions performed this a few months ago live and they still rock it. One of the best rock ballads ever, if not the best.
I saw them live on the Rock You Like A Hurricane tour. Definitely one of the greatest bands! Thank goodness for these videos. You can hardly find a radio station in my area that plays what I loved back then.
I saw them in concert in the 80's and this song shoots right through you live! His voice is piercingly beautiful! When he starts the I'm still loving you part at the end! Stunning! ❤️
There are ballads and then there is this, one of the great rock power ballads of all time. Thanks for the upload, and great that you all enjoyed the video.

Another white grandma fan club member here! This was one of the best metal power love song ballads of my youth. And while the wall in this song is just around his girl's heart, this German band did a song about the tearing down of the Berlin Wall in 1989 and includes footage in the video. History forgotten!
Yo. It didn't take but 3 or 4 notes for this to grab you ALL!! Never underestimate a song, or group, you've never heard before. That was freaking great!
They were great. I've seen the Scorpions live twice when I was a kid. I'm in my 60' now and I love watching you young people enjoying the same music I grew up on.
This is my all Time favorite song above all other songs ever. I grew up listening to the Scorpions. My dad loved rock music and this is what we listened to, now that I’m grown and my dads gone I listen to this to remind me of him and my life when I was younger, I’m only 38 but how much I love this song.

The song was written in the early 80's by the German band, the Scorpions as a tribute to USSR. But then when the Berlin wall was taken down in 1989 the song took on a new meaning.
As a 62 year old woman who has had the absolute incredible experience of seeing the Scorpions 3 times in concert, I still get chills from Klaus Meine's voice. The Scorpions are a legendary rock band. Great reaction guys! 🙂
I grew up to this band & I absolutely LOVED yall's reaction!!! It was if I was watching my 5 sons (I have no kids) become Scorpion fans right before my eyes to this song like I did when I first heard it...just, BEAUTIFUL! Thanks for making my day great 💕 Love you guys!
Que vos tan potente... Que estupenda banda Alemana. Eso sí es música, se erizan los pelos... Está esquicites de voces , jamás volverán y en este género, menos. Genial , simplemente una Chimba.
The Zoo is a banger. Live in Berlin or any live video of that song is a must see from the Scorpions! I wouldn't recommend too many live songs for a first-time hearing but that is one you want to hear and see their performance.
Germany's best ever rock band. You have to listen to some of their unplugged set live from a Portuguese monastery, absolutely brilliant. Great vocals as ever.
Scorpions was the very first band I saw live at a large concert venue when they were the opening act for AC/DC & headliner Ted Nugent at the late Spectrum in Philadelphia, July 1980, row 2 center stage. I'll never forget that night...still have the ticket stub (somewhere)...😎
I am 65 years young! Still love the music I grew up listening to...the early days of heavy metal...Ozzy Osbourne... Led Zeppelin, Steppenwolf... AC/DC...The Scorpions...Boston.....Judas Priest... Dakken...and some newer bands...Nightwish, lead singer is the 6'1" Valkyrie Queen/Goddess....Floor Jansen ( from the Netherlands ) and Within Temptation....with their smoking' hot lead singer, Sharon den Adel, with the voice of an angel! For Nightwish... I would suggest ...."Song of Myself" some head banging, and some great guitar playing!! Everyone usually suggests "Ghost Love Score" but the song is like a score in a movie, where the Vikings are being led into battle by their queen..and it's over 10 minutes long! For "Within Temptation" They did a collaboration with Mr. Pimp My Ride himself...Xzibit.... Titled "And We Run"... and it's fantastic!!! New subscriber....you guys remind me of my 3 brothers and my sister...always laughing and having a good time together!!!
When I first bought this album and listened to this song I knew this was going to be one of the best love songs in mankind’s history. You don’t just “hear” this song, you feel it. I was 16 when this was released and I remember thinking, “Man I hope I never feel this way”. But as destiny was to have it…….. haha.

Amazing live. Never liked a single studio album from them. I'm sorry you never got to see them to truly get that impact. The true arena rock band of that day and age. Funny story about this song, I paid a random dude 50$ to karaoke it one time and he absolutely nailed it. I legit didn't know dude had pipes I was doing it as a joke. I listen to all music but this is a classic
The guy’s face falling flat and taking off his shades in surprise beginning at 3:37 when the singing began made me chuckle! Looooove the Scorpions ❤️❤️
Welcome to the genius that is Scorpions! Along with Journey's "Faithfully," "Still Loving You" ranks as the best power ballad of the 80s IMO. Any choice from them is fire and solid. Definitely check out The Zoo -- an absolute banger!
You could literally pick any song of the Scorpions from the 80’s, they’re all fire! They didn’t miss, hit after hit. Very underrated band.

My second favorite Scorpions song. First one is called The Sails of Charon, but this ballad is so beautiful! Literally brings tears to my eyes!
YES!! So glad you guys did this song! Love the Scorps! Please check out Dream Theater, Iron Maiden, Queensryche and Judas Priest. ❤️
58 yr old male here remember listening to the Scorpions on a hot summer night in Europe. Windows down, music cranked up, and just loving this song while a full moon hangs in the sky. Great memories. I wish I could go back to that point in time. Scorpions we’re awesome!!!
Amazing song 🔥🔥
Nicely done man. I love your reaction. One of the most real reactions from a different cultures than mine. Thank you
Funny story about this song, I paid a random dude 50$ to karaoke it one time and he absolutely nailed it.
Just saw them in October. It was epic!! My high school years are entangled with Scorpions music. 🤘🏼🤘🏽
Classic song!!!
