Every other band there that day, and there were some of the best ever, said that it was Queen's day and that they had never seen a crowd react like that before.

No Live Aid comes after you have gone down the rabbit Queen hole. Trust me it's better once you have become accustomed to many of their songs like Another One Bites the Dust, We are the Champions, We Will Rock You, Don't Stop me Know, I want It All, Radio Gaga, Under Pressure, Somebody to Love live in Montreal the list goes on and one and then when you see Live Aid the impact will be much more meaningful

I’m well over 60 white English woman - I love love love that you are so open to the great songs!!! Thank you for making me binge to sing along to some fantastic music again 🙏🏼
When asked by an interviewer what instrument he played, without missing a beat Freddie Mercury answered "the audience darling". Also he was a fashion designer, Brian May (guitarist) is an astrophysicist, John Deacon (bass player) is a sound engineer and Roger Taylor (drums) was or studied to be a dentist. They did the soundtrack for the Highlander movie starring Christopher Lambert. You should check out the song 'Gimme the prize' , it's REALLY good. The album is called ' A kind of magic'. I wore that album out from constant play in my teens. It's now a must have on my playlist. 😊
His 1985 Live Aid performance, where he has over 100,000 people in the palm of his hand, is the greatest ever!! I was 14 and still remember to this day the hairs standing up on my arms..❤❤❤
Queen released this when I was 15 yrs old. I’m now 63 and it still the greatest musical masterpiece of all time. ❤ Great reaction! Seeing you all rock out was great!
Freddie Mercury is the man. No other singer could command a crowd like he could. Queen’s performance at Live Aid in 1985 was unreal. That was almost 20 years before I was born, and I feel like I missed out. What a show.
That’s cool you love their music despite being too young to have seen that show . I was born in 77 and love 70’s music. So I feel I missed out on lots of 60’s and 70’s concerts . I’ve not been to as many concerts as I’d have liked to because my mom was strict and thought I’d get trampled . Mosh pits were a big thing when I was the age to go to concerts. So I had to sneak . 🤣. I was able to see Bad Company ( first concert) with my uncle and that was the only one I was allowed to go to cuz it was with my uncle. I love Bad Company. So that’s cool 😎
@@littlebeebs1 Yeah. Luckily my dad grew up in that era so I was one of the few in my generation who was introduced to this music. Ted Nugent, Bad Company, The Doors, George Thorogood, all of those guys. I've never been to a concert because he had settled down by the time I came along, but I hope to go one day in the future.
The Beatles was started in the1964 when they came over from England, the band Queen was started in the late 1970s. Enjoy the music our generation has enjoyed it for years and years. Stay blessed.
Guys, the song is a vibe and a technical achievement. Nowadays you can just press a button but back then they had to have the vision and ingenuity to actually craft the operatic harmonies in the edit, which was many hours of labor. It was a genuine artistic revolution
I was 23 when this came out in '75. Let me tell ya, it blew everybody away - nothing like it had ever been done in Rock. I'm so glad I was young in the '70s!
Gimme QUEEN ANY DAY of the WEEK!! Hands DOWN The BEST SONG EVER and I dare say, one of the best bands ever!! I do appreciate how you've amended your disrespect for Bohemian Rhapsody. From a 57 year old white guy in Florida I think you guys are great! Thanks for y’all’s honest and mature thoughts on everything going on in the world today. All of your parents must be very proud of how their sons have become respectful young men. I have 2 sons which I brought up “ treat everyone with respect…period.” It is very obvious your parents told you the same advice. Keep up the good work from a former track guy in high school too…
why do Americans always bring color and race to everything they say. Why white man and not man, as a Portuguese I don't understand, if someone can explain
@@martimesperancaalmeida5277 because sadly in America a lot of races don't tend to run in the same circles as other races, not I tentionally often, just sometimes socio economic, region, culture etc. So when a white guy says, As a white guy... here it means, I've never met or communicated w people that look like u, and I'm so excited we have things in common that I didn't think I would, and we like the same things! It's not negative here, it's a beautiful bonding between ages and races these young men are doing :) Hope thst helps

My 1st concert was Queen, 14 yrs old. BEST band ever! There'll never be another Freddy, you have to watch the LIVE AID concert - it'll blow your mind. All who played after Queen was like oh man now we have to go out there.
Queen is so versatile. You REALLY, REALLY should react to "Somebody to Love" Montreal 1981. No autotune; just their live voices and instruments. It's perfect and you'll probably be impressed.
My friend and I saw Queen in September 1973 at the age of16 at a BBC radio recording in London, we had free tickets and had not heard of Queen at all, there was about 30 of us in the theatre and we were blown away. Glad you love them too.
@@cg9059 I remember Father and Son, Seven Seas of Rhye and some off Queen 1 and they entered to a Royal sounding tune called Celebration, I think. No cameras were allowed and camera phones had not been invented !! It was recorded but I havent bought that as it is quite rare.

Their 20 mins. On stage at Live Aid was Epic! Freddie even leads the audience in a vocal warm up. Freddie was advised by his doctor not to preform because he was having problems with his throat. We couldn't tell. Their will never be another Freddie Mercury.

Thanks guys total respect on this one. I was around the day Freddie passed. November 1991. Probably before you lot were born! He was a genius. Queen are legends. Thank you so much for keeping the legend alive. Respect sirs. ❤❤❤
This song has actually used different genres. One song! Rock, opera, ballad, and pop. That’s how awesome they were. They used multiple different types of instruments.
I dig the dude in the middle of the frame of the CFam who said he didn't know the song and then started smiling and bobbing to the part of the song that picked up. He went from kind of bored to full on liking it. So fun.
A wise man once said : if you want to know if a person is worth to be part of your life then start playing "Bohemian rhapsody". If the person doesn't know the song and don't move or start showing any positive feelings for it, then kick it out of your life 😁😂Freddy Mercury was a genius. I cried a river as I saw the report about his death in the news as I was a teenager 😢😞I will never forget him and I know a lot of people won't do either. He gave the world a big gift. Thank you Freddy😍😍

You guys are great, your innocence, naïveté, openness, interest, fun, learning, awareness, curiosity, discovery and understanding of the new things you discover is really great. Watching you guys get hypnotised by the beginning lyrics and then explode with energy feeling it was a true pleasure to watch. Having the younger generation appreciate the old timeless classics is a joy ❤
So glad you guys are truly appreciating the greatest that is Queen. Bryan May is the master of the guitar - he started the band with Freddie Mercury. Currently he is also known as Dr. May, renowned astrophysicist (he put his studies on hold after Queen's popularity exploded, but went back to get his PhD.). A phenomenal guy.
Roger Taylor on drums and hitting the high notes on Somebody to love… there’s a video of he and Freddie playing off each other on that one that will astound you.
I'm always amazed at the wide range of emotions that I experience while listening to THIS song. Awesome react video! Loved seeing you guys rock out on this.
Queen is One of the most Legendary bands in the world! Freddy Mercury and his voice is unmatched!!! When he performed he commanded the staged and the audience was was absolutely captivated by his voice and their music!! I'm very happy to see my home boys enjoying an ageless classic!
FINALLY! I have waited months for y’all to “open your eyes” to the greatness of Queen. Btw, if a commenter has not already said this, the opening “four heads” is not four voices. It is all Freddie harmonizing with himself. He was in a class by himself but as a band together, Queen’s studio harmonies are meticulous and masterful. With some exceptions, the live versions blow studio out of the water but both are incredibly & wonderfully different experiences. Please go down the Queen rabbit hole, you won’t be disappointed.
As a 60 yr old I had so much fun watching you guys listen to this! I stil get goosebumps everytime I hear this song. This was the 1st album I ever bought when I was in Junior High-a 33 RPM LP (that’s vinyl in case you don’t know)

gentlemen keep going your right up there with athletes, actors and musicians in changing the stereotype of young black men and young men in general! you're awesome!
Thanks to Quora: Freddie did not have operatic training. His only training came from being in choir in boarding school and taking piano lessons. Freddie was a self taught singer and worked very hard to practice and determine his best sound. He fell in love with Montserrat Caballé‘s operatic vocals, and when she asked to meet him, he and Mike Moran went to Barcelona to see her. They formed an immediate bond which led to the creation of the album. Barcelona Freddy sang in the tenor range, but Montserrat said he was a true baritone, and he sang that way for her.
Great reaction guys! I love that your doing some basic research before listening to legendary songs. Just an FYI- headphones/earbuds are a MUST for this song. Part of its appeal is the genius sound engineering sending different parts into different ears. Check it out with headphones and you’ll get what I mean. 🤘🔥
This song was insane to produce. All real vocals no editing software, live instruments and tape recordings or vinyls. The managers/producers etc didn’t want to release the song. Purely because it’s 4 distinct segments lasting like 8 minutes when a car radio song/vinyl track should only be 3 minutes max for resale value/physical space to have more songs. Freddie Mercury wrote the song and developed it like an opera. Not as a rock ballad initially because of his personal music tastes mixed with the story telling/dramatics of opera music. (Purposefully dramatic vocal rang a mix of instrumentals from piano accompaniment to percussion and strings and vocals, with typically dark subject/context) [the snow queen aria the ‘ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-haa-‘ one is about a step mother commanding her daughter to commit murder. It can be romantic operas but a flair for the dramatics is what makes a show a show in 1800-1900s] (While musicians don’t like to admit it, many composers who did violin the usual accompaniment for many operas/music they also did guitar works. It’s not hard to find guitar works that can sound similar to an opera melody/other type of song that fits with that style/instrument. They are strings and altho very different you can find overlap which makes Bohemian Rhapsody rather wild) And he forced the other band members to help complete it at a time when they were starting to have disagreements. While the falsetto is his voice and he sings the main vocals the second highest register is one of the other band members singing soprano which took multiple multiple takes.
Nobody did it like Freddie and Queen. Bo Rhap is in our DNA, to the extent that if you can’t sing it are you even English? Look up the Greenday concert where the crowd sing the whole song on their own. Absolute goosebumps!🥰
First of all: you guys crack me up!! Keep on, keepin’ on. I’m 71 yrs old and I remember the first time I heard this song and my reaction was “ what the hell was that?” I was blown away by the diverse styles thrown together in this song. Freddie Mercury’s voice, Brian May’s guitar, and the harmonies of the entire group was simply astounding. This song puts the “classic” in classic rock. Just an old guy’s opinion. 😉
Guys they were revolutionary - you should watch the movie Bohemian Rhapsody. Its easy to forget Brian May made that guitar himself as a teen. Brian filled the wormholes with matchsticks as he carved out the neck. The center body of the Red Special was created from oak, the wood recycled from an old table. The sides of the guitar could be made of weaker material since they don't have to support the string tension - Insane right? The wood from an old table lol
During their 17 or so minutes on stage at Live Aid they literally held the world in their hands. Nobody could work a crowd and hold them like Freddie Mercury. The Live Aid performance has been called by many the greatest rock performance ever. So glad you younger guys liked it!
Years ago, the audience at a Greenday concert sang this song. It was legendary! Queen is an all time great band. Their music will stand forever, beside other legends like Michael Jackson, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin. Have a great day!
To get the FULL experience of this song, listen to it with some really good earphones. You guys are missing out of the technical genius of it otherwise. Love yall!! 💝
Queen were truly lightning in a bottle. Every member was a master of their craft and every one of them penned at least one #1 song. Also: the guitar Brian May is playing in this video (and in plenty of others) is called the "Special Red" and was made by Brian and his dad out of an old fireplace 😂 hence its unique sound.
It's great to do a revisit of this one, now that you understand the genre more. This is a good example of why this song needs to be heard at a certain point, just hearing it with no understanding it can be perceived as odd. no one should blame you for your first reaction, it was honest of where you were at that time.

Yes!
Incredible. They owned england that day
Yes Absolutely 👍🏻
I’m 68. I love watching you guys respond to new groups and their great music. One of the greatest songs ever. Good job guys. Expanding your horizons!
Brian May's phrasing on that solo is just out on another level..
Gentlemen, I am 65 & have never enjoyed listening to this song more than I have while watching you rock out to it. You guys are adorable and have made my day more joyous. Thank you! 🥂😊
im 15, i think its pretty badass that you watch this type of content.
@@somedumbkid69 Thank you!
It reminded me of the scene from Wayne's World when Wayne and his friends were in the car rocking out to this.
Freddie was the greatest frontman of any rock band ever. Period.
Absolutely!
100%❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
'EEEEY-YO!
This is a masterpiece. No one can tell me different. The greatest live performance at live aid the world will ever see. Rest in piece Freddie Mercury
*Peace
He fucked himself to death, a worthy end. Don't stop me now....
St letting you guys know, Freddie Mercury had a 4 octave range in his voice.
MASTERPIECE! ❤🎶
Thank you guy on the right;
Respect for these gifted musicians.
Queen released this when I was 15 yrs old. I’m now 63 and it still the greatest musical masterpiece of all time. ❤ Great reaction! Seeing you all rock out was great!
Yes I've loved this song from jump❤❤❤
I was 10 and I remember the first time us kids heard it on the rock station we lost it in the car. 🤘🏾
No other singer? Bruce Dickson Iron Maiden Live Rio,Brian Johnson ACDC River Plate both singers that command crowds attention.
One word ELVIS
@@MrTengaere I know those people can command a crowds attention, I was just stating my opinion that Freddie was better from what I've seen.
Early 70s correction their first album was for the movie flash Gordon
I was 10 when this came out. I was flabbergasted…. I’m forever a fan of the band, and a rabid fan of Freddie Mercury. I’ll miss him forever….
Guys, the song is a vibe and a technical achievement. Nowadays you can just press a button but back then they had to have the vision and ingenuity to actually craft the operatic harmonies in the edit, which was many hours of labor. It was a genuine artistic revolution
So glad I grew up during a time of great music like this!!
@@loritajohnson5664 Me too! Absolutely
I was 23 when this came out in '75. Let me tell ya, it blew everybody away - nothing like it had ever been done in Rock. I'm so glad I was young in the '70s!
Lucky very Lucky, im from the 2000s BUT queen is just the best i've ever heard, my ears where blessed when i found out
Then you remember 60s too and that was worth living through even as kids I think!
Gimme QUEEN ANY DAY of the WEEK!! Hands DOWN The BEST SONG EVER and I dare say, one of the best bands ever!! I do appreciate how you've amended your disrespect for Bohemian Rhapsody. You see the way clearly now and bang your heads to that wicked beat! LOL. Great video gentlemen. It was by far the best part of my day, watching y'all enjoy this song again. :)
He had a gift & was a great song writer. The band was great together!!
Respect for circling back on this one. Their performance at LiveAid is a must watch.
Please tell me how you young men are related. Please are you brothers.
It's not negative here, it's a beautiful bonding between ages and races these young men are doing :)
Hope thst helps
@@leahpollard3710 Oh ok, i see now cause here overseas nobody ever talk about color here there is whites and blacks richs, whites and blacks in the hoods, white and blacks hang with each other. the color is not what make us different it’s more the socio economic class. That’s why I asked the question, thanks for the answer bro
@@martimesperancaalmeida5277 totally get that. We have too, just not everybody lol
I thought this was disrespectful. They heard this song before.
My 1st concert was Queen, 14 yrs old. BEST band ever! There'll never be another Freddy, you have to watch the LIVE AID concert - it'll blow your mind. All who played after Queen was like oh man now we have to go out there.
I give you young kings full props for leaving your comfort zones and opening yourselves up to good music that was before your Era. Great stuff
This is considered a rock opera. He was a genious. Nobody can compare.
Queen is so versatile. You REALLY, REALLY should react to "Somebody to Love" Montreal 1981. No autotune; just their live voices and instruments. It's perfect and you'll probably be impressed.
I was at that show as a teenager. Amazing!
My friend and I saw Queen in September 1973 at the age of16 at a BBC radio recording in London, we had free tickets and had not heard of Queen at all, there was about 30 of us in the theatre and we were blown away. Glad you love them too.
Wowwww what a memory! What songs did they perform?
@@cg9059 I remember Father and Son, Seven Seas of Rhye and some off Queen 1 and they entered to a Royal sounding tune called Celebration, I think. No cameras were allowed and camera phones had not been invented !! It was recorded but I havent bought that as it is quite rare.
I absolutely love the reaction of the man in center! The way his face lights up! It’s awesome! I’m really glad I discovered you guys and enjoy hearing your opinions on multiple topics.
What a masterpiece. And Freddy was just pure *charisma*
Their 20 mins. On stage at Live Aid was Epic! Freddie even leads the audience in a vocal warm up. Freddie was advised by his doctor not to preform because he was having problems with his throat. We couldn't tell. Their will never be another Freddie Mercury.
Freddie Mercury is the all time best male vocalist and all round artist of all time, the GOAT...
This song is almost 50 years old, this is not a song this is ART spread by a genius one of the greatest most talented singer, performer ever. Even in extreme pain, could barely walk or stand he carried on right to the end to be THE BEST ever. Gone too soon but what a legacy he left. Love you for ever R.I P Freddie
Wow. I was floored when he said he’d never heard ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’. People really be in their own bubbles 😅
This song went to #1 4 different times in 4 different decades. That's all you need to really know about the greatness of this song
Freddie Mercury and Queen were absolutely brilliant and so ahead of their time!
Hence “Rhapsody”
You guys crack me up!!! I'm glad you enjoyed this epic classic!
If you want to here some cool music, try the doors la woman, light my fire, riders on the storm . Just to name a few of there songs
I dig the dude in the middle of the frame of the CFam who said he didn't know the song and then started smiling and bobbing to the part of the song that picked up. He went from kind of bored to full on liking it. So fun.
Im a 56 yr old who grew up with this song i lovec your reaction to this. God Bless you all!!!!
The best was the smile on the face of the man in the middle - wonderful
A wise man once said : if you want to know if a person is worth to be part of your life then start playing "Bohemian rhapsody". If the person doesn't know the song and don't move or start showing any positive feelings for it, then kick it out of your life 😁😂Freddy Mercury was a genius. I cried a river as I saw the report about his death in the news as I was a teenager 😢😞I will never forget him and I know a lot of people won't do either. He gave the world a big gift. Thank you Freddy😍😍
Bohemian rhapsody makes me feel so emotional every time I hear it it is truly a masterpiece ❤
Growth is what it's all about...for everyone. Glad you revisited this song. It grew on me too, just like you guys. Lot's of thoughtful comments coming from all of you. Thanks.
These guys have to grow on you. They come across as dim sometimes but they have true appreciation. I honestly believe that
I’m a 70 yr old man who grew up thru this starting with the Beatles 1964 Ed Sullivan.
You guys are great, your innocence, naïveté, openness, interest, fun, learning, awareness, curiosity, discovery and understanding of the new things you discover is really great.
Hope you never lose these qualities as you grow older and old
Watching you guys get hypnotised by the beginning lyrics and then explode with energy feeling it was a true pleasure to watch.
Now Dr Sir Brian May - Knight of the Realm, Astrophysicist and Rock God :-)
6:40 Brian May wrote the solo, not Freddie
Brian May started the band with Roger Tayler. It was called smile before Queen. When Freddie joined the band, it was his idea to change it to Queen.
@@nzmoggy3898 #facts I jokingly refer to him as Dr. Brian May, astrophysicist, college professor and part-time rock star.
Roger Taylor on drums and hitting the high notes on Somebody to love… there’s a video of he and Freddie playing off each other on that one that will astound you.
First Queen song I ever learned the lyrics to. Freddie Mercury was brilliant !! R.I.P Freddie, miss you much love ❤
Song still gives me chills. Absolute genius! Glad you guys respect the song now😂 was fun to watch.
That’s really interesting, the four heads part
As a 60 yr old I had so much fun watching you guys listen to this! I stil get goosebumps everytime I hear this song.
This was the 1st album I ever bought when I was in Junior High-a 33 RPM LP (that’s vinyl in case you don’t know)
I love how you guys don't hold back and just enjoy what you're seeing! You seem very open to different stuff and it makes me happy to watch you enjoying yourselves. Thanks for sharing!
OMG I laughed out loud when the band hit the rock sequence and you guys went all Wayne's World in the car!! Loved it. Great head banging, great reaction video guys, you really cheered me up.
The song is a piece of art, so many pieces and so many different sounds and styles.
I am loving the reaction, you are ALL fab and demonstrate pure joy!!!! ❤️GREAT!!!
gentlemen keep going your right up there with athletes, actors and musicians in changing the stereotype of young black men and young men in general! you're awesome!
Freddie trained to be a opera and classical singer but became one of the best front men of one of the best rock bands ever!
Thanks to Quora:
Freddie did not have operatic training.
You guys are so darn cute!!! I love watching you all interacting. Your parents must be so proud of what great young men have become. ❤
The power of Queen’s music is undeniable. Right up there with The Beatles.
(Purposefully dramatic vocal rang a mix of instrumentals from piano accompaniment to percussion and strings and vocals, with typically dark subject/context)
[the snow queen aria the ‘ah-ha-ha-ha-ha-haa-‘ one is about a step mother commanding her daughter to commit murder. It can be romantic operas but a flair for the dramatics is what makes a show a show in 1800-1900s]
(While musicians don’t like to admit it, many composers who did violin the usual accompaniment for many operas/music they also did guitar works. It’s not hard to find guitar works that can sound similar to an opera melody/other type of song that fits with that style/instrument. They are strings and altho very different you can find overlap which makes Bohemian Rhapsody rather wild)
And he forced the other band members to help complete it at a time when they were starting to have disagreements. While the falsetto is his voice and he sings the main vocals the second highest register is one of the other band members singing soprano which took multiple multiple takes.
6:40 Brian May wrote the solo, not Freddie
Nobody did it like Freddie and Queen. Bo Rhap is in our DNA, to the extent that if you can’t sing it are you even English?
Look up the Greenday concert where the crowd sing the whole song on their own. Absolute goosebumps!🥰
I so enjoyed your reaction to this classic!!!! You guys are showing that feeling!!!! Keep up the great reactions!!!
I just absolutely love these guys especially bringing back the 70 and 80 music !!! love it.
When he says that he shot someone he’s talking about the old version of himself, he wants to get rid of his old self to become a better person.
Years ago, the audience at a Greenday concert sang this song. It was legendary!
Queen is an all time great band. Their music will stand forever, beside other legends like Michael Jackson, The Beatles, and Led Zeppelin.
Have a great day!
Linked it in my comment 😊
That was one of the best crowd moments in history Freddy was definitely smiling from heaven
Y'all are so awesome. I love the open minds, the evidence of great parents and how well you get along😊
It's great to do a revisit of this one, now that you understand the genre more. This is a good example of why this song needs to be heard at a certain point, just hearing it with no understanding it can be perceived as odd. no one should blame you for your first reaction, it was honest of where you were at that time.
You guys are my favourite reaction channel, you always brighten my day no matter what you’re reacting to. But I’ve been struggling a bit lately and hearing you react to this (imo) masterpiece from Queen makes me happy. Thank you guys all very much for the entertainment and helping so many people forget their problems for a few mins and just smile ❤️
Indeed. Some really salt-of-the-earth fellas there. The world need more positive people like them.
Very sorry to hear that you're struggling....
"Take heart. Get up."
There are lots of us out here, btw. Just gotta keep showing up for life, friend. ♥
I'm 70 and when I play this on the piano sometimes the lamp falls off!LOL! No matter who u are, you just gotta rock out with this song! Glad 2nd time you guys showed the due respect to this operatic masterpiece!
I am so glad I found this podcast. I love these boys. You make me laugh every time I watch you. Thank you for bringing entertainment and giggles back, there isn't enough of it anymore.
