70 yrs old and she still sounds better than any female singer on the radio
One of the best singing voices that has ever walked the Earth. I always think that she and Karen Carpenter are the two lead singers of God's choir.
There’s really no need for that. Music is good when it’s made good.
She had the voice of an angel it’s sad to think that Archie roach, Olivia Newton John and Judith all died just a few short weeks apart from each other 😢😢😢
@@MrSpencerMcIntosh no need for what? Voicing my opinion?
Anyone else in tears watching this?
Yes!!!
She was a lovely singer

Me, as I sit next to my wife. She's been fighting cancer for 15 years, and I know how much time we have together
The love of my life has Gone home. March the first 2024. He went to his heavenly home and I was with him 56 years and this was one of my favorite songs about our relationship all through the years. I married him in 1967 and we had 4 beautiful children together. And he is At peace and out of pain. now no longer suffering but I will miss him and I know that I will never find another Robert truly never find another Robert
You'll be together again, love transcends all, best wishes and thank you for sharing, you and Robert were so fortunate to have each other
Lord Jesus comfort you from someone married 55 years❤
The Lord bless you and keep you my dear lady.
Thank you for sharing your heartwarming story with us. Bless you and Robert.
Understand completely, Donna! My wife joined the heavenly choir on March 4, 2023. We don't weep as others do, but it does hurt after 49 1/2 years. Blessings! He's coming back, and I believe it's very near even though we don't know the hour or day. When you read psalm 83 and see what's going on in. the Middle East, you know it's not far off! Blessings!
That's the prettiest 70 year old voice I've ever heard.
Unbelievable!!! You nailed it! I don't have words. But I certainly have tears!!!! ❤️❤️
She was an awesome human being.
I get goosebumps whenever I hear them sing.... great group...
@jessestewart169 she definitely was !!!
How many groups can sound just as good fifty years later?
RIP Judith, you were one of a kind.
Certainly not the stolen Little River Band?

None. She was pure magic
Great lady
I was thinking that exact thing. How amazing that is. Just wonderful. Amazing.
The moment the song started, I'm back to being a kid. Here in 2024, I'm 64 and hearing these great voices, the world feels just a little bit better.
73 and feel it pretty strongly.
63 here. Thank goodness for the internet.
80 here (just), was in love with Judith in the 60's.........@@suave-rider
@@rdf8312 I was in love with Judith Durham and Elvis :)
Just expecting TELSTAR to play next.
Incredibly sad to hear that Judith has gone. The Seekers were a part of the soundtrack of my youth. Judith had such an amazing and unique voice. I can't think of any other artist quite like her. R.I.P. Judith 🤗
She had a great emotive voice and a few tricks to go with it!
You have spoken for many of us. So sad.
So sad this was my grandfathers favorite band. At least the 4 of them were together for 60 years which is unlike any other band from that era.
She sang so beautifully.
Her voice retained its strength and beauty throughout her long career!
RIP Judith. One of the most beautiful voices of any generation, so clear and pure.
Judith is now singing with the angels which is appropriate since she always had the voice of one.
Totally agree! 💕
I agree
very beautiful woman in all respects
I agree. I cried when she died
Everyone who reads this, we don't know each other and probably never will but I wish you all the best in life and all the luck in the world 💕🥰
Amen in Jesus name❤❤❤

Thank you ! 😄😄😄🥰🥰🥰

Thank you! Likewise!😊
Such purity in her voice. Its crystal clear. Perfect.

@@janetredway6822 That would be Bruce Woodley.
I was a little one, but I remember but mom dusting and cleaning to this music. Great times, sterling memories.
This really is a perfect pop music song. I replay it often.
The Seekers and Judith Durham are national treasures.

And we love them here in the USA, too!
They’ve aged beautifully. Still sound great almost 60 years later. This deserves a 20 minutes standing ovation

You said it!Wow...its so beautiful to watch this...we"ll nvr find another them too...💖👍🏼🎶
Discipline, clean living the best you could.
Absolutely.
Brings memories and tears in my eyes.
You know..ALMOST 40 YEARS LATER....IF THIS...does not bring tears to your eyes....you ain't breathing!!! OMG-- these 4 are just PURE RAW TALENT!!!
It did bring tears and not ashamed to admit it!
I can definitely enjoy a song without sappy tears being in my eyes. So tired of folks saying they cried/had tears, etc. This is a very lovely song, and I type this with clear eyes.
@@yessumyessum6624 It is called a fond memory. Those were good times...and this song brings some of us back. Not everyone is a brick in this world.
💯
Lovely lady
Videos like this have me hoping the current generation can find the innocence and creativity that we had.
🙏 TRULY AMEN🙏
Amazing, isn’t it? Beautiful performance by 2 guitars, a bass and a girl singer. Cannot get better. No half-dressed dancers, suggestive lyrics or other superficial glitz. Just very fine music.
Amen. No gimmicks no nakednesses; 3 well dressed gentlemen playing 2 guitars, a upright bass and a wonderful lady with her beautiful voice. That’s real talent right there boy.
Thank You!
@@MrNathan791
It would be like a foreign language to the musicians of today, sadly. It's because this is real class, lifting up positive emotions and values, another foreign concept in these times.
And they could actually sing, and actually play music, and write meaningful songs with intelligence and well spoken English, showing what it was to value other people, and friendship and love.
Wish the youngsters could know that.
Other favorites of mine from that era are chad and Jeremy,, and Gerry and the pacemakers.
Thank you for this song. I had forgotten about this jewel.
@@bonniewilliams9171 I really dislike this practice of commenters tearing down one groupie order to build up another. A little hint, the Seekers don't need that kind of reaffirmation.
They relied on talent
Judith is just amazing. I do not know how she can still sing this as if time stood still. Her pitch and clarity are superb. Listening to the Seekers after all these years almost makes me cry with joy. So many memories of the 1960s!
Not "almost" for me. I get misty every time I hear that song.
Don't wanna burst any bubbles but this has been pitched down. Still, damn fine singing though!
Amen my friend! Well said...
Charles, I totally agree! I am only 62, but I remember this well!! Why can't this song come back? I LOVE IT!!!
Judith & the seekers are just fantastic, l can listen her voice all day, best group in the world
It’s amazing how they sang this 40+ years later and they still sound the same. Judith’s voice was clear and not the slightest bit raspy. So angelic.
Well said. Highly talented musically, all of them.

knowing we will never see Judith singing again is heartbreaking. 😢
Sadly Judith Durham passed away yesterday (5th Aug) in Melbourne, Australia 😥. Thank you for the glorious music, songs and your angelic voice. RIP 💔
Hi 👋how are you doing?
I Love Judith ❤I was just thinking of her recently and wondering how long she would be with us. I knew that I would be heartbroken should she leave. I just learned of her passing here. You informed me as to when. One day before my birthday. So nice of you to give her praise. To me she was The First Lady of Australia.
I can't believe she's gone. She was so fabulous.
It broke my heart when I heard the news, and I bought their greatest hits CD the same day. Back in the 70's I owned a couple of their songs on '45 record including Georgy Girl, which I love; but, "I'll never find another you" is special, and Judith's voice was so unique!
@@SuzyQ334 Beautiful lady. Unbelievable.
RIP Judith. Such a beautiful voice. You will be missed by family, friends and the world.
I SECOND THAT SENTIMENT. (RIP) JUDITH DURHAM, LEAD SINGER OF THE SEEKERS. HER VOICE WAS ALWAYS POWERFUL EVEN AS SHE AGED. LORD WHAT A GROUP! GREAT MEMORIES YET SAD TO SEE THEM IN OLD AGE STILL BELTING OUT THOSE CLASSIC TUNES OF MANY YEARS PRIOR. THANK YOU ALL DEAR BAND MEMBERS OF THE FAMED1960'S AUSTRALIAN GROUP, "THE SEEKERS."
Judith Durham had a beautiful strong voice. It obvious from this film that she is declining but her voice is still strong. The whole group are true pros. R.I.P. Judith
She’s still got such a wonderful voice. Pure pitch. How rare!
I wish that Karen Carpenter were also still around.
The two best alto voices imo, they sang notes perfectly
Judith's voice has remained the same as it was in the 60's, wonderful!
So do I, I missed Karen
She clearly works her voice with some regularity - she sounds fantastic!
Judith, Karen Carpenter and Patsy Cline!! Their voices were gifts from God.
Judith still sounded as good as she did years ago! These were the days when women were called ladies and the men gentleman and it was all about the music!
Even in her advanced years her voice is smooth and she's still a beautiful lady.
The most beautiful song of the 1960s.
Like a fine wine. This is even better than the original recording.
A timeless classic.
So good. It’s my third time in a row listening to it. So romantic. Makes me sad I’ve never been in love like the lyrics of this song.
When Olivia Newton John died there was a lot of news coverage here in the Uk, but there wasnt a word about Judith Durham. A massive talent, so missed.
I'm not in the UK.....but yes, now you mention it, I do believe you have a point. The Seekers were BIG in the UK....strange that should happen.
I loved Judith's voice: It has carried me through many good/bad/sad times. Bless you dear lady. May you be at peace. You are so sadly missed.
Goosebumps. They still sound on another level. RIP Judith and thanks for the music.
How can Judy's voice still be so freakin' amazing at 70?
Judith's voice IS amazing, here! It's almost unchanged from her days in the '60's!
Hard to believe that I watched, (& listened), to this band back in the '70's. Thanks UA-cam!♥️🇨🇦
Amen. Her voice is amazing!
Such fidelity huh? Sounds awesome!
Sheer talent...

RiP Judith you will be missed, but with a voice like that, never forgotten. May you continue to sing for us and our children for a long time to come.
Judith, I will hear you again in Heaven.
My Mum used to hang out with these guys in her younger days and tell me stories about the 60`s. Sadly she passed away in 2016, but i`ll never forget the joy on her face and the incredible times she had in that era. Beautiful.
2022 or 2023
That's so cool that your mom hung out with them, but I'm sorry for your loss. Judith has one of the best voices I've ever heard.
Because she is calm. Cool, collected. Judith let natural aging run its course. Never under the knife for, her. She is beautiful and remember how sweet that face when first they sang that, song.
I think they all look great. Good bless them all.
Her perfect pitch helps...
Wow.... the guitar intro, we all hold our breath to see if they've still "got it", and then those 4 voices turn on almost like a perfect machine and sing with the same range and tight tuning they always had. I wish people like this could live and sing for us forever. They look like 4 nerds, and they are so .... darn... COOL. That's because cool is being good at something, cool is being happy with who you are. And these four truly are.
Only one half step down. If I were able to ask them, I'd love to see them try the original key. Something tells me they'd still do it immaculate. Judith has at least 90% of her original range.
Still Have Beautiful Harmonies.
And yes, they still "got it".
Guessing - never smoked, never did drugs and maybe just a bit of fine wine once in awhile... that's the best way folks.
@@tehee- judiths 90% is better then most woman of her generation or this generation and I dare say the next generation. Amazing singer

If I had my eyes closed I would swear it was 1965!, They sound exactly the same!! Truly amazing!!
And that is what this makes this song (my personal anthem) immortal and The Seekers, perfection 👌
I'm there with ya. 🍻
I think it's even richer.
I was going to post the exact same comment
Yes, it's amazing!
Why do I cry every time I hear this song…?
I first heard this song when I was 12, I'm listening to it 54 years later and still loving it!
Exactly the same for me. I will add that I played this song to the girl I married when I proposed to her on the walls of the Old City of Jerusalem in the Holy Land!
I remember this from when I was 3 !!!! 57 now.
That's what we call Evergreen. And so beautiful, too.
The same age as me, I am 66 and this song never fails to bring a year to my eye. One of my sister's had this song for her wedding when she married her second husband
2013, the year my wife was diagnosed with Alzheimer's. From 175 lbs. to a mere 50 lbs.in less than 2 years, and yet, she is still the most beautiful woman I ever met
True Love never fails. God is love. 1JOHN 4:8

I am touched. Your comments are ageless. A reflection of what we need more of, in today’s crazy world. True love.
Judith had a rare quality. She had a beautiful melodic voice that had just the right tamber to compliment three male voices.
Judy, her voice is immortal...the band exceptional, bvs, musicianship...absolutely special
“bvs?”
Her voice is still the pure tone of the late 60's. Wonderful. She is a treasure.
It's funny the moment I heard her at 2:20 my first thought was 'she could have sung anything written today and just totally killed it' Just an amazing voice
This song was my tribute to my wife of 45 years when I lost her to cancer in 2023. I’m sure I’m not alone in doing this. It is the song of our life. Thank you, Seekers.

For some odd reason, I started tearing up the moment I started watching this video. They are still so amazing even after all these years.
Yeah, me too
So did I.
And me 😥🙋♀️💙💙💙❤
Ditto.
So did I. I watched the recorded studio version from 1964 right before clicking on this video, and man. The emotion I felt watching them sing together, so many years later, I had the feeling that the song's lyrics mean even more to them now as they've journeyed through life and are so much older. So bittersweet and just incredible.
Outstanding!!!......Better than their 64 recording!....RIP "Judith".....GREAT PERFORMANCE!!!
So terribly sad to learn that Judith Durham has passed on.....can't stop the tears...NEVER ANOTHER. May she always rest in peace in some far beyond...

A diminutive Lady with an immense voice, no tricks or vocal gymnastics required, just pure skill, perfectly backed by the Lads
💯
She certainly was. She looked small to me & I'm only 5'4"
But she had a wonderful 'smile, & was a lovely person to meet & sing with.
There a long & ever growing list of singers, male & female ( I am a counter tenor) Who I'd love to do tributes too, but Judith was the only one I met, spoke too & sang with.
Maybe that why I feel a little sadder about her.
It was indeed a long, long journey..
No smut, no rotating hips or sleazy crawling on the floor, just talent.
Unbelievable !! Tears came to my eyes remembering the 60s, when I was a teenager. These guys didn't get older, Judith's voice sounds the same !!

RIP Judith. A wonderful singer. Condolences to her family and to Athol, Bruce and Keith.
Judith was a gift that will never stop giving
Absolutely extraordinary how the quality of her voice remained intact as she grew older. Incredible.
As I take another step toward my destiny with eternity, I grow more grateful of the days I have lived, the great friends I have had, and the wonderful music which has alighted my soul. To see these musicians play is like seeing old friends again, making my day ever joyous. Thank you for the post, and thank you Seekers for your grand music.
In the early 1960's,this was on the Juke Box in the NAAFI Club at RAF Shawbury in England, a fantastic Air Base and Entertainment club,This recording was played time and again, and, here I am, almost seventy years later, it still sounds so refreshing, What an amazing Australian Export this Tune became.Great Australians too. Speechless...after hearing this pure talent, crystal clear voice , such wonderful music. Gives us a glimpse of music of golden era. No show off , no distractions. Just enjoy the real music. Brought tears to my eyes.
So blessed to have grown up with this music. One of the best things my parents did was to introduce us to lasting quality music. RIP to Judith, an angel has earned her wings.

I'm speechless. I wasn't expecting that awesome performance.
RIP Judith. One of the clearest most enjoyable voices in popular music.
As a child of maybe only 3 or 4 years old, listening to a Seekers record playing on my parent's old turntable is one of my earliest and most enduring memories. Hearing them again 50 years later brings back distant and fond memories - in a way that is hard to put into words.
Oh my god! that's me... my parents had their album. Grew up in the middle of Pennsylvania and my mom loved them.
Judith was a brilliant singer RIP your music is your legacy
Why am i crying?.i simply watch the old version where they are still young and this one after, and then i cant help but cry

WOW! 50 years later and they sound like an original recording. Just amazing. Brings tears to the eyes.
We will never see or hear again, such a talented group with such longevity as the Seekers . I'm a rock fan but what utter talent and such a beautiful voice in Judith that was phenominal all though her life. As a child in the 60s my dad played their music and loved them and we all sang along. Happy memories. Australia has lost their best vocalist ever and a lovely humble soul in Judith's passing. What a legacy she's left left us. We are much poorer without her talent in our lives . God bless her.
Hola,Soy argentino y lamento muchísimo su partida y coincido plenamente con vos. Hemos perdido una voz única. Que pena que a ningún empresario se le ocurrió traer a The seekers a la Argentina. Judith,Q.E.P.D!
They don't make them like that anymore. Great musicians and perfect harmonies ,just perfection. When you think of the garbage that's out now ,it's cruel. God bless you Judith, you will never be forgotten . ❤
No lip sync, just pure talent! They sound just as they did in 1967.
From her first vocal,to her last a beautiful singer. The choir in heaven just got better RIP Judith.
No backing tracks, no autotune. Just utter professionals for decades and loved by generations.

This song is one of my favsofr days gone by. I'm 78 so I can remember when we were all younger. Their stage performances were always so presentable, like most of the folks singers of that generation. Bravo for this treasure!
