Loved the Seekers. Judith had the sweetest, clearest, most musical voice, and has already been said, she sounded the same until the end. So sad that she has left us.
It's rare that a group can record a song without error, then perform it just as flawlessly 50 years later during a live concert. That was how extraordinary the Seekers were, four talented individuals who used the law of synergy to make the whole greater than the sum of its parts. For this Yank's money, they were the best there ever was, . . . . bar none. In addition to Judith's magnificient voice, Keith was bending those twelve strings effortlessly, and I love the way Athol was really thunking that bass. Thunkity thunk thunk.
Omg Judith sounds exactly the same now as she did years ago. She's got to be one of the best lady singers ever. God bless Judith and the boys, please don't ever stop.
Trust me david I'm build in the 80s so this song is considered to be old as hell for my taste but for the past few hours ive been bashing that replay button just now hehehe
What an amazing group. Not only do they sound the same as they did in the 1960s, they somehow all came out okay. None of them got into drug or alcohol abuse; instead, they all went on to have very different but successful solo careers. RIP Judith.
I've been playing bass for 30 years. I still haven't mastered playing and singing harmony at the same time. Athol Guy does it effortlessly, playing a standup bass no less.
I was in the front row when they played the Bridgewater hall in Manchester in the last tour,it was amazing, when Judith sang Colours of my life I was right sitting in front of her, just amazing, just the best night I’ll never forget.
I'm willing to bet this concert version of the song is almost one-for-one with the recorded version. PERFECTION. The Seekers are truly an Australian national treasure!
Used to listen to this as a child. My mother had the 45rpm. I remember loving the time then. This performance is flawless and absolutely on par with the original recording. Thank you for this wonderful performance.
judiths still got at least 90% of her original vocal range and it’s still better then anyone else alive from her generation and most of this current generation and I would bet the next generation of singers also , amazing singer who makes it look easy in effert. Got to say she never sounds better then with the lads to be fair
I still feel shivers down my spine - I was only 8 years old - but this is such a beautiful song I still feel and hear it like it was 1965- perfect harmony and unchanged voices!🥰🥰🥰
They bring so much joy to life also to me in the Netherlands. When I am down they cheer me up with the happy music they play. It's so beautiful and feel good music that will last for ever. Thank you Seekers for making such beautiful songs and music.
My first seekers record was Allentown jail and got it at 4 years old and then got this record a world of our own and and began singing along and since then I have loved the seekers and all folk and great artist from the past god bless the seekers long may you all sing forever a very big fan forever
I made 2 changes during karaoke that make it much better: 1) from "light the lights" to "douse the lights" 2) from "cried for you" to "yearned for you"
This is the video from the last tour its really good i was also at the same tour when it came to UK they sold out 2 nights in Glasgow due to demand. Brilliant video get it you love them you wont regret it⚘⚘😀
Just pure great singing.....no additives
Without any doubt whatsoever this is the classiest thing I have ever seen- wow!!!!!!!
Legendary music makers. Thank God for the creative talents.
Simply beautiful.
Back then there was good song writers.
No backing tracks, no autotune. True professionals in their 70s.
Judith's sad passing on 6 Aug 22 was a tragedy for Australian music.
One of the best bands on earth. Absolutely love the seekers sound. 👍❤️
RIP Judith Durham. What a fabulous voice she had. The Seekers really were an amazing band.

Yes indeed! Judith Durham and the late great Karen Carpenter are my favorites.
@@Ocheecheenay And Julie Andrews.
Amazing voice!
If not the best
Loved the Seekers. Judith had the sweetest, clearest, most musical voice, and has already been said, she sounded the same until the end. So sad that she has left us.

So sad we've just lost this lovely lady. Her voice was simply superb and hardly changed through her life. An Australian icon and so humble with it.
Thank you for looking after that voice, Kween. All of you, actually.
You and see and feel the enthusiasm in their performance
Omg Judith sounds exactly the same now as she did years ago. She's got to be one of the best lady singers ever. God bless Judith and the boys, please don't ever stop.
She was 70 here and still as good as ever. Beautiful lady with such a gift and talent.

Exactly!
Amen!
You are so right! This IS what music should sound like! Beautiful, joyous, genuine!
What an amazing group. Not only do they sound the same as they did in the 1960s, they somehow all came out okay. None of them got into drug or alcohol abuse; instead, they all went on to have very different but successful solo careers. RIP Judith.
Best group ever. Always pitch perfect.
R.I.P. Judith, such an amazing voice....
We are at the other end of our lives now but our lives have been made so much richer because of the gift of the Seekers.
Simply 'The Best'
This song was my introduction to the seekers. Whenever I listen to it, I can't stop the tears from my eyes.
What a beautiful song and exellent harmony! We once called it Music.
This was one of the first recordeds I purchased way back in the 60s happy carefree days indeed
One of the most enjoyable groups of my lifetime. Musicianship of each individual makes a wonderful blend. Thank you for your music 🎶.
I've been playing bass for 30 years. I still haven't mastered playing and singing harmony at the same time. Athol Guy does it effortlessly, playing a standup bass no less.
RIP Judith. You will missed thank you so much for your contribution to Australian music :(

She still sings great!
Not many groups can sound this good in their prime. They get better & better! Thank Rich for sharing another great one!
Four wonderful people. A blessing that they still look and sound so good!
I still feel shivers down my spine - I was only 8 years old - but this is such a beautiful song I still feel and hear it like it was 1965- perfect harmony and unchanged voices!🥰🥰🥰
Brilliant
One of the most romantic songs that I've ever heard. ❤️
The memories...! Growing up with such magic music!
So amazing
I always forget just how tiny Judith Durham was - so much voice for such a small lady.
My Dad would sing this song to me every time, I actually relate to it now even more.....❤️❤️❤️
They bring so much joy to life also to me in the Netherlands. When I am down they cheer me up with the happy music they play. It's so beautiful and feel good music that will last for ever. Thank you Seekers for making such beautiful songs and music.

Their voices sound young and amazing even after so many years!!
Nothing I can leave behind but immense respect ....
I grew up with the Seekers, they are 'timeless' ah! when life was so innocent ❤
Those pipes are strong as heck!
Amazing voices remained so youthful and sweet.
Judith has Perfect pitch❣
Saw then on a Farewell UK tour some years ago just couldn’t believe that they still sounded exactly as they had 40 years before.
I love Seekwers.

They don’t make them like this anymore!
Thank god
I made 2 changes during karaoke that make it much better:
1) from "light the lights" to "douse the lights"
2) from "cried for you" to "yearned for you"
Please Seekers don't give up and come back with somehow new songs. we love you.
A Judite está uma senhora linda como ainda é de uma voz maravilhosa
This and " I'll never find another you" I first heard by Sonny James. After hearing the Seekers version I changed my playlist on my MP3.
Talent. Unbelievable talent.
