Bhaal shot a bloody booger into Faerun after doing a bit too much blow with bane one night, and was surprised to find it walking around and making sacrifices the next morning
considering gods can't "legally" intervene too mutch, it's almost certain that durge was made from divine flesh, yet his actual power is the same as any other beeing, just with greater potential than others (i would gwess that if it were otherwise we would be seeing waaaay more god like beeings shifting the world all around for their parents)
it would also explain why tav is a white dragonborn wizard with weirdly high physical stats (pre tadpole) of course baal would make the perfect killing machine. cant use magic? I will use my hands? cant use my hands? I will literally bite your head off and as my skin is shinny white your blood will glisten as it drips off me.
Though, we also need to account that his father himself is a quasi deity. A quasi deity of a quasi deity might produce something naturally magically powerful and gifted (Explaining sorcerer levels), and as seen with tadpoling, getting brain wormed has a habit of resetting player level to 1
Idk who this goblin zombie demon this is, but he makes me laugh in any scene I see him in anyone’s vids. This encourages me to play as a Durge in my next playthrough
Would be severe spoilers to say who he is, but I assure you he is nobody to be laughed at! You'll be seeing him a lot as you play durge though, and he's a great character. Hope you enjoy the durge playthrough though, because the entire story is different despite following the same general path and main events. There will be many similarities, but you'll see everything add up as you go and it'll feel completely different!
He loves you dearly but he is also explicitly and irrevocably evil. It would be against his nature to be redeemed, and intellectually, emotionally, and quite possibly physically, painful, if not outright lethal. His death before your redemption was a mercy
@@deptusmechanikus7362 Not really. The buttler always mentions Bhaal as a separate entity and if you find his hat, the item description seams to imply that he had a life of his own before coming into bhaal's service.
That explains a lot. How Durge came to be when Bhall has been impotent for so long. Why Durge is so special. How they truly *are* the Dark Urge, which is why the Slayer form is really their “true” form, should they embrace murder. Interesting… I’d been wondering about this!
I havent accepted Baahl in any Durge run yet (as ive only done 1) , so its kind of sad to know that my Durge wont know some of these things (it kills him to not know) . i also imagined (while i didnt know why at the time) that (my) Durge would have suffered seizures of some kind (be it the scary and 'dramatic' looking ones, or something more that causes spams, and reparative jerks in a limb). After learning about Orins victory right before the events of the game, and now confirmed that your brain is damaged as fuck. I imagine my durge to have suffered them post-game at least
If u cast the Level 6th healing spell in Baldurs Gate you can recall some memories (It will be a different memory if you’ve faced Orin already) you may not be able to find out specifics but there are certain points in the story when Durge can briefly recall their memory; The Noblestalk being the other method that you can find early in act 1/Underdark
I have never seen this dialogue before, thank you for the video. Although I must admit the title is a bit misleading. There wasn't even a mention of a mother. But still, there is the clear explanation of how Durge came to be, sculpted of Bhaal's flesh.
I tried accepting Bhaal but Jaheira and Minsc were disappointed with me, broke my heart, then I stepped outside and I'm forced to kill them. I reloaded right away. Can't do it
I wonder if this means Withers alters a resisted Durge's body, since the Urge is gone and he says Bhaal only killed that part of them. Or maybe it doesn't matter if Bhaal doesn't have that hold anymore? I saw some mention of bhaalspawn babies from an evil Durge so now I'm just wondering if Jahiera was right to be worried at the party for my good Durge lol
Given The Dark Urge is sculpted from Bhaal's flesh, would that imply any children born from them are as such, Bhaalspawn? That would be a pretty solid way to bring Bhaalspawn back into the fold should there ever be a Baldur's Gate 4.
@@SelejXthere is a Version were you embrace Bhaal in the temple but then defy him and destroy the brain anyway. You then have the final choice to either end yourself or to try and defy Bhaal further... the second option however does not go according to plan...
Up the stairs in the Elfsong Tavern you notice 2 double doors that your Tav will comment on saying something like "you can rent rooms". Physically that is where the "camp is".
