Except for Ao. Ao is the overgod and he will erase Gale for this. No worship strengthens Ao or is required and even the strongest deities are fodder to him. This path would be a death sentence once he had enough
that was literally the whole plan for the absolute by the dead 3. Basically the whole plan was to deprive the gods of the mortals who give them power & existence by using the illithid's ability to trap the mortal soul with ceremorphosis to prevent them from ascending to the afterlife plane of their chosen god as well as mind control-ing the world to only believe in the absolute and not any of the other gods (remember how the goblins abandoned their original god for the absolute?). The first prompt for each of the new evil options for origin characters is great for how it fits the character as a way that they might take an evil path. But with Gale and Lae'zel it also has a tinge of neutral tone to it rather than being so much of an outright evil ending. Ending Vlaakith, ending the gods? Threatening the world with a just time there.
Even with the full power of the crown combined with his own might, all in one person, Gale simply can't stand up to a much more developed god. Maybe if he had thousands of years of worship and the like to strengthen him, he MIGHT be able to defeat Mystra, but he can't possibly do it even in this ending. @@eduardolopes7626 Not directly, and only by destablizing the weave itself. Karsus was a god for a moment. To say he defeated Mystryl (as she was known then) in a straight-up battle is false.
You forget that he's not going one-on-one with anyone. He's simply taking away worshippers, which, confer D&D lore, gradually diminishes a god's power. He can continue that, until it's gone, and there's no god to defeat. It's not about how long you've been worshipped. But by how many you /are/ being worshipped by, right now. As if people had simply stopped believing in them. Because they have.
So in the first option basically you turn the people of Baldur's Gate into radical slightly cool atheists, which it's ironic considering Gale looks just like Jesus in that outfit.
I would imagine this would end pretty much the same way God of Ambition Gale taking on Mystra would end. Even trying to starve the gods via lack of worship, I would imagine it would still take a long-assed time for them to weaken whereas he decides he can challenge the gods before dinner. And that's not taking into account the Elemental Gods, whose power seems completely independent of their worship levels (Kossuth is the only one that bothers with trying to get a large following, and he's on par with Akadi, Grumbar and Istishia, who are all Greater Gods in terms of power level).
Huh, I would not have thought that the "Control the Absolute" ending would make sense for Origin Gale, as Gale on his dark egotistical path wants the Crown of Karsus to ascend to Godhood himself... and to get the Crown into his hands the Netherbrain who wears it has to die, doesn't it? But Larian making it so that a player who wants to control the Absolute as Gale still gets something out of it, namely "storm the Gates of the Heavens and destroy _all_ gods of Faerun". (Astarion would approve.) Although I can't see that endeavor ending well for Gale, esp since he isn't even ascended in this version, and Ao might have something to say about this... as would Jergal and Kelemvor if the souls of the dead no logner go to their worshipped gods but... where? Well, the alignment planes are still there, as is Limbo, as are the Lower Planes for the evil people, Gale might set up shop in the Upper Planes...
I like Gale going to War with the Gods. They played with him so much (mostly Mystra) and treated him and other mortals like toys to be played with. Even Astarion mentioned and teased Gale of how he falls over for her and Mystra does things we would call toxic in a relationship (Don’t get me wrong I love Selune and gods like her) but it just makes since for Gale to finally be free and have his own power. Cause mind you Gales goal as a god was always to help mortals realize their own potential and truly serve mortals. Now this debate war with Ao is interesting as well cause i already have conclusions of what could or not in my head forming 😭
I am a bit sad that they only showed Gale removing his earring and being angry at Mystra in his evil ending. Like, he doesn't have to be evil to rid himself of her influence. I'm not sure if Gale would canonically do this, as even a bitter and angry Gale would just use the crown and ascend. A part of me does like this ending, though. Purely from a narrative perspective, not a role-playing one. There is something tragically cathartic about it.
Like gods ever react on time lol, she didnt even bother sending an avatar to gale just asked elminister. With enough preperation Gale can draw enough worshippers away from her to weaken her significantly.
Dude! First time of playing an original character - *Gale* aaannd, umm... he's turning evil. I couldn't help it. Lol. It's all Astarion's fault! If he hadn't stolen the idol before Gale went to confront Kagha... I can't wait for patch 7 on console.
What about Gale's companions? They shouldn't be mindless thralls, but it would be nice to have some of them as friends if they want to share in your new world. Astarion would approve, and Minthara, and Lae'zel as long as you take out the current Gith god and give her some power. Vllakith needs to go.
but why tho evil in this game is so dumb. should've just given us a montage of kicking puppies; makes just as much sense and is functionally the same payoff
I like Gale a lot, but I don’t see him succeeding here. Let’s say he somehow manages to defeat Mystra, something he couldn’t even do with the crown of Karsus. Then what? Eventually Ao steps in and says “Nah man you’re done”. Hell, I’m not even sure Gale in that state can take on Elminster yet.
Gale in his ascended fight was a new god with no worshipers and Mystra was on full power, in this ending instead he uses his mind control to draw people away from worship and forcing them to worship him instead. He weakend her and others significantly if he takes over the entire material plane, and he's capable of that as we saw lazel with the same set of power able to travel throught dimensions. He's most definitely capable of defeating mystra and minor deities right now.
Always wanted Gale to get rid of that damn earring. This is my favourite bad ending now (only this, the others are too chaotic xD) because fuck Mystra. Even though I love good Gale with all my heart, this chaos is Hella cool, he wouldn't do that, but it was pleasing to see 🤌🏼
As much of a gale simp as i am personally, if left to his own devices Gale absolutely would go down this path (or at least become a god in a non-evil ending). Tav is basically the voice of reason that stops him from going this far. But, on his own, without anyone to convince him otherwise, he has enough pain and ambition within him to really drive him to the brink. If you dive really deep into his backstory (and honestly, dig into forgotten realms lore on Mystra) you could get a pretty good idea of how deep his pain likely goes. He thinks having more power is going to give him what he needs, what he's missed out on because of Mystra. At best, he becomes a neutral-aligned god. at worst, he just becomes evil jesus and causes havoc...all in the name of power. (but ofc, my HC is that he is just a sweet cinnamon roll of a man who needs love and cuddles b/c deep inside he's just a golden retriever, and he would never go this far.) But, everyone has their breaking point, and Gale is no exception. Which is the beauty of the game, really. Every character as a light and a dark side. If we simply let them loose like children in a candy store, we would have some very broken, misguided tadfools, intent on gaining power to rid them of the strife they are chained to.
@@MariaEseninaGale doesn't really want "revenge" on gods. At leat not in this sense. Even god gale is less hostile. He did want to change the other gods mindset, but not destroying them. This is specific evil ending, not true ending

Best ending
So litterally the first choice
Rage of sparta 😂
God killer gale
Gale is basically Sauron.
First option is the most in-Gale choice for his evil ending imho
I am a bit sad that they only showed Gale removing his earring and being angry at Mystra in his evil ending. Like, he doesn't have to be evil to rid himself of her influence. I'm not sure if Gale would canonically do this, as even a bitter and angry Gale would just use the crown and ascend. A part of me does like this ending, though. Purely from a narrative perspective, not a role-playing one. There is something tragically cathartic about it.
No gods, no masters
Option 1 doesn't feel very evil, lol.
7:52 which ost is this?
March Of Darkness
The first ending is chaotic jesus by freeing them from gods.
R/atheism ascended
i love it.. HE TOOK OFF HIS EARRING!!!! TO HELL WITH MYSTRA!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAH!
nice evil jesus
Except Mystra would intervene with all her might????
Like gods ever react on time lol, she didnt even bother sending an avatar to gale just asked elminister. With enough preperation Gale can draw enough worshippers away from her to weaken her significantly.
Dude! First time of playing an original character - *Gale* aaannd, umm... he's turning evil. I couldn't help it. Lol. It's all Astarion's fault! If he hadn't stolen the idol before Gale went to confront Kagha...
I can't wait for patch 7 on console.
Tbh Gale taking revenge on Mystra's grooming doesn't make the ending as bad as the others.
All gods are bastards. Loving the first ending.
I would worship this evil Jesus OMG
Should have just been a God, Gale
What about Gale's companions? They shouldn't be mindless thralls, but it would be nice to have some of them as friends if they want to share in your new world. Astarion would approve, and Minthara, and Lae'zel as long as you take out the current Gith god and give her some power. Vllakith needs to go.
Thanks for showing this, just curious did you play the game so many times that you have different characters as main characters to get these epilogue?
My BG3 review would probably answer your question ua-cam.com/video/ffVtiRR7Tq4/v-deo.html
@@Kazuliski Oh my, thanks for this!
AO: Am I a Joke to you?
but why tho
evil in this game is so dumb. should've just given us a montage of kicking puppies; makes just as much sense and is functionally the same payoff
A bit funny how people bring up gods and all that. Meanwhile if we go by canon dnd power level, elminster can easily take down Absolute Gale 😂
For real?
@@cherrycola4476 realistically Elminster dogwalks Absolute Gale in a 1v1.
BG3 canon if it was written by r/atheism.
I want to see God hunter Gale vs God Hunter Kalach-Cha
Okay. First ending is literally Nehrim 😂 Kill all the gods
Gale will draw people away from her worship weakening her then destroying her. Ao would let it all happen because he's a prick
Even though I love good Gale with all my heart, this chaos is Hella cool, he wouldn't do that, but it was pleasing to see 🤌🏼
what is Gale robes and where do you get them?
Robe of the Weave. It's found in Ramazith's Tower.
Ending gods in D&D doesn't seems evil to me
ему не идет быть
злым
Can Gale take the crown then do this?
Can God Gale do this to or no?
how is gale more evil them the durg. war with gods that's ambition
With these evil ending, i just want to know WHY???!? Xit doesmt seem to fit Gale at all, except the big statue.
Why? Gale actually has the motivation and power to take revenge on the gods. And this is true ending for Gale, others are common for all.
@@MariaEsenina revenge for what? They did nothing bad to him
@@MariaEseninaGale doesn't really want "revenge" on gods. At leat not in this sense. Even god gale is less hostile. He did want to change the other gods mindset, but not destroying them.
This is specific evil ending, not true ending
@@dorianleakey Oh really? Mystra used Gale for her own purposes the entire story, including as a lover, and then not only trashed him, but instructed him to sacrifice himself to defeat the Illithids because the gods are actually afraid of them! Shar and Selune in their feud poured rivers of blood playing people their games of chess. Bane's followers were organizing a tyranny, and Baal's goal was to humiliate everyone (Durge's ending). Gale witnesses all events, some affecting him personally, others affecting everyone, but only he has the intelligence and a plan to send the gods into retirement. And I can understand him, I don't like the gods too. Even "good" gods in practice creating only chaos, and mortals must solve each NEW problems for them? No! Gods will be abandoned and dead.
How is this a bad ending? Just taking the Shar-Selune conflict you can see that gods and their great games are not healthy for anyone.
DARK lol
I want to see Gale destroy Mystra cruelly with evil ending.👿
She has it coming so hard but even if she gets killed again she is just going to body surf into one of her chosen and respawn. She has unfortunately learned from the last time she got killed and is one of the few gods with multiple chosen to body snatch if she dies.
