Our Sharran master of mystery having to ask "is it that obvious?" on Gale's enquiry! Oh I love our hopelessly in love little pookie, dealing with these little things called feelings.
Minsc and Jaheira are so sweet 🥺 Halsin sounds creepy to me (no offense to his fans, he’s just not my cuppa at all) Thanks for the video! I’ve never romanced her, so the banters were all new to me!
He sounds creepy because helsin and shadowheart is written by the same author and helsin is his self insert. That's why he keeps trying to insert himself in to shadowheart romance and anything shadowheart related.
5:37 …You know, Shadowheart’s dad WAS a wolf for a bit in that flashback. I always assumed it was some trickery of Shar that Shart saw her dad like that in that memory, but maybe…
It wasn't trickery by Shar. If you convince Shadowheart to save her parents instead of sacrificing them in the House of Grief, you can talk to the parents as Shadowheart in the camp and Shadowheart's father confirms that he is in fact a lycanthrope but the gene might have skipped Shads as she hasn't yet shown any signs of lycanthropy.
@ Oh wow, that’s crazy. I guess the reason I never saw that was because even though I saved Shadowheart’s parents for the first time recently, I didn’t talk to them as her.
@@Vegeta241 I have it uploaded here if you're interested to see the conversation as Shadowheart: ua-cam.com/video/q4iVXS0QuD8/v-deo.htmlsi=prpRsDqhpmVxge2t&t=893
There is definitely bugs related to this. I got Dark Justiciar lines for Selûnite Shads and vice versa there were even more. My spouse had Shads as a friend and still some of these lines triggered in that playthrough. And Wyll's lines didn't consistently have subtitles for them (had to add them) and had delays.
Yes, I think Patch 7 definitely introduced some new banter bugs. For example, yesterday I got a banter between Jaheira and Shadowheart in Rivington where Jaheira was talking about Viconia. But this took place before I even entered the Lower City, so Viconia's reveal hasn't even occurred yet. I've also gotten some unusual banter where it implies that one or more party members are in a relationship with Tav, even though I'm currently solo on this playthrough (aiming for an Emperor romance ;P) For the record, I'm not using the Polyamory mod either, or any mods that adjust relationships or conversations, so these shouldn't be occurring.
Heh, I do like Halsin in general, but I have to agree that, when he popped that line on me after my first playthrough (romanced Shadowheart ofc) I was like "F*ck off, Halsin, FIND YOUR OWN!!!" XD
Halsin is the most forced fanservice character i've ever seen in a videogame, he's the only companion you can't kick out or reject to join the party. Thank god for Orin honestly because she is the only way to get rid of him.
I have never actually romanced Shadowheart yet. Mainly because it's kind of hard to do a romance with Shadowheart when you are playing as origin Shadowheart. Which was my main and first playthrough
Makes me excited to hear party banter regarding my Tav and Karlach Also: "Werewolf cubs?" CAN YOU BECOME A WEREWOLF NOW?! Plus I love the long pauses Shadowheart gives Wyll every time he banters with her
No, you can't become werewolf, it's about Shadowheart's backstory and the wolf memory where you see Shadowheart's father as a wolf. If you convince Shadowheart to save her parents instead of sacrificing them in the House of Grief, you can talk to the parents as Shadowheart in the camp and Shadowheart's father confirms that he is in fact a lycanthrope but the gene might have skipped Shads as she hasn't yet shown any signs of lycanthropy, but it might get passed to her children.
When you say that the dialogues take place "After 2nd romance scene" is that when she confesses to you after she spares Dame Aylin? I don't know if its just me but the convos she has with the others feels off. They sound like convos that she would have if she was still second guessing her feelings and still under shars influence. Then again I suppose shadowheart doesnt truly feel free until after she learns the truth from Aylin and dyes her hair.
Shadowheart's father is a lycanthrope, if you save Shadowehart's parents in House of Grief, you can talk to him about it at the camp as Shadowheart. He says it seems the gene has skipped Shadowheart but it could manifest in her children I suppose.
That werewolf cubs comment from Wyll really seemed to come out of nowhere. O.o I have to wonder if it's perhaps a line linked to the deleted 8th Origin that was supposed to be a Werewolf Halfling Bard. (It was cut both due to lack of time, and also because Halsin was originally planned to be a Werebear, so their stories might have been too similar.)
No it's not that. Shadowheart's father is a lycanthrope, if you save the parents you can talk to him about it at the camp as Shadowheart. He says it seems the gene has skipped Shadowheart but it could manifest in her children I suppose.
@@shadow_risen Ohhh, you're right! I forgot about that. But again, this links back to my other comment about banters popping out of order when they're not supposed to, because again, I'm still in Rivington and haven't resolved Shadowheart's personal quest yet. Back on the lycanthropy thing, the key thing is whether or not SH's father is a natural lycanthrope (meaning he was born with it) or an infected one. Natural lycanthropes will pass on the curse (though they would call it a blessing) to their offspring, but infected ones generally will not. (In cases that do, it is almost always via the mother due to the greater exposure.) Selune does have a reputation of being worshipped by lycanthropes who seek her aid to gain control over their transformations, so if Amell had trouble controlling his transformations and sought Selune's aid as a result, then he must be an infected one, since natural lycanthropes have perfect control over their transformation and retain full control over their mind during such episodes.
@@Zaxares In the dialogue he calls it a curse, but also the moonmaiden's blessing, but he doesn't allude there is any problems for him to transform, he takes the wolf form to cover the ground more quickly and reach child Shadowheart quicker to safe her from the Sharrans. He also says it was a "toss of a coin" is Shadowheart inherited that side of him.
@@shadow_risen Yep, that kind of tracks. Infected lycanthropes are the whole "I can turn into a vicious, uncontrollable monster at any time, so stay away from me!" horror stereotype, but in the Forgotten Realms, Selune is well known for helping such infected lycanthropes learn how to master their transformations so they can control it at will. (This is not the case in some other settings, like Ravenloft, where no known magic or blessing can help an infected lycanthrope.) So what likely happened is that Arnell was infected by a werewolf at some point in his life and then turned to Selune's worship to master his curse. Being SH's father, there was a chance his curse could pass to her, but it seems it did not. (Whether it was through blind luck or through Selune's grace is up to the interpretation of the player. :) )

Yeeeees! I love banter with her. Especially Wyll's and Shadowheart's dialogue in Act 3, about him being babysitter.
Where they quote the sleazy novel 😂
Shadowheart taking half an hour to respond to Wyll in the beginning 😂
All the Wyll banter's are a bit buggy, there's longer than necessary pauses between and there were no subtitles for him, I had to add them.
Does the pillow thing imply that she’s sleeping in tav’s bed.?
@@kenadams894. No no. Its referring to her eye makeup not smearing on her pillow
Halsin gets sent to camp the moment he asks to go swimming with us.
The only time he gets to leave camp in my playthrough’s is if Orin kidnaps him 😂
@@papawhiskey00 Me to Halsin: I love you man but please stay away from my wife
