    1) Nf4 --> g6 (check); Kg7 (if black's pawn takes the knight, it's mate in 1, Qh7 instantly wins, as white's white square bishop controls g8)
    2) Qh6 (check); Kf6 (only possible move for black)
    3) NxR (discovered check); Ke7 (only possible move for black)
    4) Qg7 (check); Ke8 (only possible move for black)
    5) Qf7 (mate)
    Nice puzzle!

    the main thing you need to remember in King's gambit is- You need to have courage, without it you can't play this! you need to sacrifice pieces maybe 2 or sometimes 3, but your ultimate goal is to checkmate the king and yes, you need to think tactically, practice games, and yes you are gonna achieve your perfection😊

      What if instead of 1. ... hxg6, Black finds 1. ... Kg7! ?
      My analysis:
      2. Qh6+ Kf6
      3. Nxf8+ Ke7
      4. Qxh7+ Kxf8 (or alternatively Ke8)
      5. Qf7#

    @7:18 The first winning move I saw was a "blitz game" win with 1.N-d3 which is what i would have played in a bullet game with minimal time to make my move; as it would suffice for the win (2.NxQ is next), and precious seconds are saved on my bullet chess clock. Moral of the story: when you play high speed chess time controls, you have to take the first winning move you find, as the clock has highest priority, just as in two minute drills in NFL football games.

    Isn't the last game checkmate in 2 - Kn-G6, PxKn, Q-H6++ ? Or did I miss something?

    What about another alternative in this system like after 1.e4, e5; 2.f4, then if black plays 2..Bd6, what best option is there for white in its third move?

    Actually there is checkmate in 2:
    Knight G6 check: Black have only 2 options.
    Option 1: Take knight i.e. PG6. Then White play Queen H6 (Checkmate)
    Option 2: Movie King to G7. In this case also Queen H6 (Checkmate)
    Nice tutorial on King's Gambit..👍

    I had the position at 20:47, but instead of d4 I developed my bishop 5 Bc4 g5 6 0-0 g6 7 Nd4
    What happened next is kinda irrelevant, as my opponent played ...Qh4, which looks like a blunder to me, and then his defense began to crumble when I captured the pawn with my rook. But are the previous moves valid ? I am afraid I'm missing something, as I did not play as recommended in here.

    I will sacrifice my knight to g6, If he move his king you will check it by your queen and he will move his king to f6 then u will move your knight in f8 its a discovered attack, then the king will move to e7, then move your queen to f7 then its a beautiful checkmatr

    I found checkmate in 2 on the puzzle. Knight H6, pawn h6 takes knight, queen h6 checkmate. And if pawn does not take you can take rook and still win eventually

    I have a very big doubt. I have watched it 2-3 times trying to memorize. Should I not try to memorize the game? I remember the game and sequence of moves and when the opponent doesn't play how I expect them to. I get stuck. So you guys got any solution for that?

    Actually if you move pawn e4 to e5 and pawn takes with e6 it's checkmate with queen e3 to e5. Otherwise it's checkmate in 5.

    some lovely miniatures here that really show the core themes of the King's Gambit, though I must confess I am somewhat baffled why so many of the black players are playing the Cunningham defence and not delivering the (as far as I know) bishop check that is the entire point of the initial Be7
