Here's the thing about Z Broly. Yes, he gets angry at Goku for the crying and stuff, but he's' not angry because of the crying, it's because it gives him PTSD flashbacks of as you mentioned: almost being killed, being exciled, and Planet Vegeta getting blown up. Those memories only come back when he sees Goku (and in Second Coming when he hears Goten crying). He sees Goku as the sole reminder of these horrific events and that's why he wants to kill him.

Considering how Goku goes SSJ in the Cooler Movie, I've always been under the impression that the spirit bomb worked in that timeline. Frieza was killed via spirit bomb and they all went home, Goku never learned SSJ and never went to Yardrat. That's why Cooler never mentioned King Cold dying, because in this timeline he didn't, Frieza died on Namek.

The thing is you're thinking about these movies as part of the canon when they shouldn't be. They take place in alternative universe where the circumstances of the films happen, happn. Thought specific movies contain continuity with others pike the broly trilogy and the cooler duology. If you need more explanations im glad too help

As well as important events not having happened at all. coolers revenge implies that Goku did kill frieza in the films version of events so that's why king cold isn't mentioned nor trunks and goku doesn't have instant transmission, along with not yet having able to become super Saiyan at will. Fusion reborn and wrath of the dragon are implied to take place after the Buu saga put Majin Buu is not presents in any of the two films. I saw a commenter saying something along the lines of the films are more of advertisements for the show, and it makes sense. The movies characters even have power levels that go against the main story and they aren't mention either. Think of the films as more like non-canonical side stories that you wish were able to fit in the story.

Goku grew back his tail twice. Once in the pilaf arc and once after the Red Ribbon arc. Both times it grew back. Kami removed his tail in a way it cannot grow back. Thus the tail growing back in the movies isn't a problem. What is a problem is that Vegeta's tail never grew back and Gohan's tail since the Namek arc. Gohan's tail also got cut twice at least not counting anime filler.

I've heard a decent reason for the movies and their contadictions, painting them as "alternate timelines". For example, Turles would be if Goku got to the Saiyans earlier, or Cooler would be if Goku kills Frieza with the spirit bomb
Actually, Goku crying as a baby was a trigger for Broly's past trauma. He literally got stabbed and later survived the destruction of planet Vegeta all while he was an infant not to mention Goku crying nonstop. I think that would drive anyone crazy if they remembered. Also, from what I hear in the Japanese Sub Broly sensed Goku's energy and saw him as a threat to his own power which explains why he wants to kill him so bad. 24:22 It's also shown in a flashback scene that Broly was always a physcopath, and took pleasure in wiping out entire planets and civilizations throughout his entire life. He even embraces his insanity when he calls himself a freak in the film. 24:39 Paragus was originally going to leave the planet before the Comet would've hit it which was the whole reason he brought Vegeta there, so that he can exact his revenge and kill him. But after Broly raged and hulked out he had no choice but to leave, seeing it as a lost cause. Paragus also knows that Broly probably would've went after him anyways as he's forcefully been trying to control him. So Paragus leaving isn't that far-fetched at all.

The DBZ movies aren't trying to be canon They're all what if scenarios that take place in different timelines. Easy way to explain Cooler's revenge is that Goku actually DID kill Frieza (and quickly) resurrected the namekians on namek and left. He didn't go to yardrat in that timeline. There's a lot of scenarios you could easily make up in your head to why they're different. DBS is also non canon to the movies as well since of multiple contradictions and statements but NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THAT..

This is why it's best if you treat the Movies as if they take place in their own self-contained timelines, that happen in place of the canon events. The only ones that could connect together is an alternate version of Coola's Revenge and Return of Coola. Where Goku does have Instantaneous Movement and can control Super Saiyajin(because he clearly can't do neither in the official Movie). Maybe the Broli movies could fit together, but that's about it. But that's just me.
Okay, in the case of Goku appearing from the spirit world in Bojack Unbound, and Broly Second Coming, I think it was King Yemma hearing Gohan and Goten's wishes for Goku's assistance, just like how King Yemma hears Goku's wish for Kid Buu to be reincarnated into a good guy (Uub) so they can fight together again someday. There's precedence for King Yemma making spirit related wishes come true. Just like how King Yemma lets Goku & Vegeta keep their bodies (in Goku's case while he was dead in the Saiyan Saga, and while he was dead for 7+ years during the Cell & Buu saga. In Vegeta's case just during the Buu Saga.)
Coolers Revenge is even worse than that. Given that Goku couldn't go Super Saiyan instantly yet means it has to have taken place before Trunks showed up, which means Cooler didn't even need to get revenge since a simple phone call would have told him Frieza survived and is being rebuilt. On tthe other hand if it's after Frieza (and King Cold) got killed by Trunks, that means Cooler is mad at the wrong person since Trunks killed Frieza not Goku.

Let's see: The movies are non canon to the regular timelines but are their own timelines/continuity in the canon. Each movie aside from a few are literally their own version of events not even connected to most other movies. Also, for the Cooler's Revenge movie, as far as everyone knows when it first came out, was that Frieza died on Namek. Even for a year, nobody knew Frieza survived in canon aside from Kold and whatever grunts and doctors he had. Goku being home might imply this timeline is more so one where Kold didn't find Frieza yet or in time, or a timeline where Goku didn't stay on Yardrat.

@@superkamijacob you don't need to know dragon ball to watch and enjoy and moives, it was made that specially so that people who haven't seen/read dragon ball can watch and get interested into the original series. it only gets complicated when you try and fit it into the original timeline. the characters put into the movie where based off of where they were in the anime; for example in meta cooler's movie it's based off of the characters after vegeta destroyed 19, so no ssj gohan and it was actually made before toriama made dende the new kami of earth in the manga, so i still have no idea why he's kami of earth in the movie it's either they got notes early and thought toriama would make dende kami earlier then he did or they somehow predicted the future

Actually, Goku crying as a baby was a trigger for Broly's past trauma. He literally got stabbed and later survived the destruction of planet Vegeta all while he was an infant not to mention Goku crying nonstop. I think that would drive anyone crazy if they remembered. Also, from what I hear in the Japanese Sub Broly sensed Goku's energy and saw him as a threat to his own power which explains why he wants to kill him so bad. 24:22 It's also shown in a flashback scene that Broly was always a physcopath, and took pleasure in wiping out entire planets and civilizations throughout his entire life. He even embraces his insanity when he calls himself a freak in the film. 24:39 Paragus was originally going to leave the planet before the Comet would've hit it which was the whole reason he brought Vegeta there, so that he can exact his revenge and kill him. But after Broly raged and hulked out he had no choice but to leave, seeing it as a lost cause. Paragus also knows that Broly probably would've went after him anyways as he's forcefully been trying to control him. So Paragus leaving isn't that far-fetched at all.

They're all what if scenarios that take place in different timelines.
Easy way to explain Cooler's revenge is that Goku actually DID kill Frieza (and quickly) resurrected the namekians on namek and left. He didn't go to yardrat in that timeline.
There's a lot of scenarios you could easily make up in your head to why they're different.
DBS is also non canon to the movies as well since of multiple contradictions and statements but NOBODY TALKS ABOUT THAT..

This is why it's best if you treat the Movies as if they take place in their own self-contained timelines, that happen in place of the canon events.
The only ones that could connect together is an alternate version of Coola's Revenge and Return of Coola. Where Goku does have Instantaneous Movement and can control Super Saiyajin(because he clearly can't do neither in the official Movie). Maybe the Broli movies could fit together, but that's about it.
But that's just me.
Okay, in the case of Goku appearing from the spirit world in Bojack Unbound, and Broly Second Coming, I think it was King Yemma hearing Gohan and Goten's wishes for Goku's assistance, just like how King Yemma hears Goku's wish for Kid Buu to be reincarnated into a good guy (Uub) so they can fight together again someday. There's precedence for King Yemma making spirit related wishes come true. Just like how King Yemma lets Goku & Vegeta keep their bodies (in Goku's case while he was dead in the Saiyan Saga, and while he was dead for 7+ years during the Cell & Buu saga. In Vegeta's case just during the Buu Saga.)

Given that Goku couldn't go Super Saiyan instantly yet means it has to have taken place before Trunks showed up, which means Cooler didn't even need to get revenge since a simple phone call would have told him Frieza survived and is being rebuilt. On tthe other hand if it's after Frieza (and King Cold) got killed by Trunks, that means Cooler is mad at the wrong person since Trunks killed Frieza not Goku.

This is just „foreshadowing“ and supports what Paragus is saying the entire time. Both of them are destined to fight. Both super sayans in 1.000 years who were born on the same day.

But people should acknowledge that all dragonball dubbings in that timespane did horrible translations and added information wich weren’t there. Thats why for example the English DBZ Kai is so much better than the original English dub because they translated it correctly from Japanese.

In the case of Z Broly, I believe that he and the rest of Saiyans who don't experience head trauma like Goku as a baby have much better infantile memory. There's extremely rare cases of people in real life being born without infantile amnesia. I think it's the opposite for Saiyans, that infantile amnesia is extremely rare. Broly remembers the traumatic experience of being stabbed, hearing Goku crying, being tossed into the trash heap before experiencing the destruction of Planet Vegeta. The movies were just stand alone plots to showcase what kind of show it was to people that didn’t read the manga or watch the show….it made sense in 90s Japan as the movies came out between episodes
Let's see: The movies are non canon to the regular timelines but are their own timelines/continuity in the canon. Each movie aside from a few are literally their own version of events not even connected to most other movies. Also, for the Cooler's Revenge movie, as far as everyone knows when it first came out, was that Frieza died on Namek. Even for a year, nobody knew Frieza survived in canon aside from Kold and whatever grunts and doctors he had. Goku being home might imply this timeline is more so one where Kold didn't find Frieza yet or in time, or a timeline where Goku didn't stay on Yardrat.
Turles looks like goku but bro is a much darker skin tone. Like Shadow and Sonic. Lord Slug is about as old as Guru so he must have been around during that Namekian drought. which is probably where the regret part comes in.

the characters put into the movie where based off of where they were in the anime; for example in meta cooler's movie it's based off of the characters after vegeta destroyed 19, so no ssj gohan and it was actually made before toriama made dende the new kami of earth in the manga, so i still have no idea why he's kami of earth in the movie it's either they got notes early and thought toriama would make dende kami earlier then he did or they somehow predicted the future

He's not doing it because he's angry with Kakarot. He's doing it for sport. And you could argue, leaving prince Vegeta for last intentionally to make him suffer more, so he can take revenge (even though as a baby he wouldn't remember, but Paragus probably drilled it into him at some point). Also he's literally insane in that form and hates his own dad when he usually doesn't. So don't try to dumb him down to hate Kakarot lol.
