That is a beautiful salad ! I will be making this very soon ! I recently made your granola, and my parents, boyfriend and myself loved it ! You, honestly, are my idol in cooking ! Every time I try a new recipe, someone is bound to ask me if its another recipe from Laura Vitale? So thank you so much for what you do !

I love this salad I am turkish and we have a similar dish called kisir but we don't cook the bulgur.. We just pour over boiling water and let it soak.

Exactly! and it's so intersting when you have different backgrounds and mix and match food items! ( for example I'm half Greek and German + lived in the States) That's the beauty of it: being creative, eating clean, healthy and well and always keeping it interesting for yourself in the kitchen and of course for your family!
I absolutely love your show!!! Please keep up the good work! :) God bless you!

I've been making this for years, I love it! I use Roma tomatoes, other than that, our recipes match! :) I also love to put it in a flour tortilla with some shredded cheese, like a burrito. I also just top a green salad with it.

i am well aware that many people make this recipe differently. This is just how i like to make it. I never said i was Lebanese so this may not be the authentic way to make it, it's just my way

I think Laura's version of Tabouleh Salad looks great. We make this salad a lot where I'm from, but that doesn't mean there can't be different variations of this recipe. If someone wants to change it up a bit then why not? On most of Laura's videos I always see people commenting saying things to Laura because she didn't make the recipe the 'authentic way'. If she wants to add her own twist then that's awesome.

laura, this looks freaking delicious. I make the same thing except substituting cilantro for the parsley & mint & it's so good. my favorite type of food is stuff like this, refreshing & perfect for summer!

I hate watery tabouleh as well..I also ignore the instruction and add boiled water to the bulgur wheat, wrap the pan/bowl tightly for 5 minutes, instead of boiling it. :) I am a rebel :)

Is there another vegetable that could replace the cucumber and be good in this, possibly be similar in nutrients? I am unable to eat cucumber because it upsets my stomach (which I find odd since I can eat and very much love pickles, but oh well, lol). The salad sounds amazing though.
It makes sense it would be better after sitting a while. The salt would force the veggies to release their juices and that would just be soaked up by that wheat. It would be amazing. :D

The lebanese Tabouleh is known for its tiny tiny tiiiinyyyy vegies, even the tomatoes should be chopped in very tiny pieces. Also, the amount of parsley shoud be more than the cucumber. Hoever, this looks yummy too !!
