Zach thanks very much for this tutorial. As a long time user of HitFilm the ROI in this product just keeps evolving and growing with time. This is a specific vfx that can be modified to use in a variety of story lines so I am glad to add it in my quiver of tools to use in the future.
I finally got this to work. You didn’t tell me how resource-intensive it would be to actually have one of these in the viewport, however. I was trying to get ambitious and everything.
Thanks! There won't be a specific tutorial for just the Tardis, but you could learn the techniques used from the other 3D model videos on the FXhome channel
Hah! Wobbling the tunnel with a deform animation and animating textures looks so much better than the textured torus method others use. Although I'm still partial to slit-scan particle sims. Zach, you should do a tutorial on your 9th/10th Doctor Vortex. You got that one looking almost show - perfect.
Thanks! I like the 3D model approach as it's super easy to point the camera wherever you want inside the tunnel. I'm still a big fan of the slit-scan particles sims but didn't want to copy Tony Cee's tutorial :) My 9th/10th Doctor vortex uses a combination of FXhome's time tunnel technique and Tony's slit scan technique. I've recreated that project three times now (with the first time being my first real HitFilm project) haha :)
@@ZachAlanProductions I'm pretty sure this is something we can both take part in, I've developed it a long way from what's on my channel, once the new sequence is up some of that content could be included to show off how far you can take it 🙂
This is great video! But is it also possible to modeling an other 3d model in blender like a big square to create the illusion to fly in a big room or a cloudy sky and not in a time tunnel zylinder?
Hey there, FXHome! I’m wondering, how do I add the tardis to the vortex. Do I export the project in Hitfilm to a blender file and add it there? Thanks for reading :)
When I hit N to show more options at 2:49 I do not get the modifiers tab like you do, in fact the only one I get is show cursor. Is there another way to access this?
hey, can you try regeneration, not just ones from new who, but also some from classic who, like the electric morph of 7th to 8th, the trippy 5th to 6th, the giddy 2nd to 3rd, and watcher of 4th to 5th
Incredible timing, I can't believe you uploaded this a day after I followed your time vortex tutorial from 2012!
Hope you enjoy this updated one!

@@FXhome you didn’t put the card on screen for the blender to hitfilm export script tutorial. Could you give me a link please.
I need the script as well

Aye Thanks for the mention Zach 😊 you got that sequence looking real nice!
Thanks! Looking forward to your next Doctor Who project :)

1. With blender alone, I was able to reproduce a pretty good remake, along with a Matt Smith style time vortex.
Nice work!
Super Dope! I love wormholes myself

Awesome Tutorial! Very clever thank you so much!

Great tutorial!
You should do a demogorgon or some sort of Stranger Things monster when season 4 comes out
Thanks Zach, as always, great tutorial x
Glad you enjoyed!

Looks great!

This is great video! But is it also possible to modeling an other 3d model in blender like a big square to create the illusion to fly in a big room or a cloudy sky and not in a time tunnel zylinder?
Thanks! In that case I think it would be better to use HitFilm's particle simulator like in this video here: ua-cam.com/video/uCt4AXXyjTw/v-deo.html
Okay, thanks for the hint. With the particle simulator it is probably really easier to create a cloud-spaceship animation.
This was great and worked for me, but now I have a problem, Somehow it broke with rendering the alembic now it gives me mismatched material.

Коммент больше четырех слов в поддержку ролику ;))
FINALLY!
Bit of a problem you can't add a diffuse override on the free version won't allow you to set it so is there another way of fixing this?
When I hit N to show more options at 2:49 I do not get the modifiers tab like you do, in fact the only one I get is show cursor. Is there another way to access this?
Nevermind, I figured out that I had to select the first angle on the sidebar so that is was selected in yellow to fix it. Great tutorial btw!
why am i missing the override materials options?
For some reason I don't have the option to export FxHome for Hitfilm?
It doesn't work at all. Been trying this all day, and I can't even seem to flip the normals. I also cant zoom in/out
Would this technique also work for creating a Babylon 5 jump point?

We have done one regeneration in the past, we can try a newer version soon:

Exr files are mandatory for passes.
Hi is so cute!
Why not make a movie at this point lol
I don't know... Looks unrealistic even for SciFi and Fantasy standards.
For a beginner, this wasn’t very welcoming. There wasn’t much explanation of how to get to each of the settings and it was a little frustrating.
Amazing, but you should say, we nned to buy Hit film, literally lost my time doing this and when i render has watermarks... Totally dislike!!!
