I have made this DIY version from LMNT's website too. For flavor, I used 1 packet each of True Lemon and True Lime with 1/32 of a teaspoon pure stevia extract powder. To me, it tastes just like the real thing!

Lol was just coming to say that..I use them also
And I also use flavored drops that I bought from gremberry farms before Richard closed his shop. He still may ship until he exhaust his supplyi don't know for certain that but never hurts to see. Mind you these are concentrates so stay with 5 drops than work up
      So far my favorite combo
      Mint chocolate chip
      Coconut
      Pina coloda
Dr pepper ( his name is red can) 😆
      Peach
      Raspberry
Raspberry peach ( just like Olive garden tea)

I’ll try that because using the Lime as shown on their website and in this video and it tastes nothing like LMNT citrus. I’ve been using 2 packets of the LMNT citrus every day for over 2 years so I know very well what it should taste like.

Just an FYI for those looking for clean ingredients Kalas salt has an anti-caking agent in it and real lime from concentrate has sulphites. No judgement just information.

This is such a great idea! I've found I can't tolerate the flavored versions of electrolytes, because they usually have citric acid added. Citric acid burns my gums and other mouth tissues! I couldn't figure out why my mouth and gums were so inflamed, and I narrowed it down to the powdered electrolytes. The unflavored versions don't typically have citric acid, but they aren't very tasty!
I appreciate having this recipe, as I could flavor it how I want without the citric acid. And I'm sure it's also much cheaper!

I’ve made this many times as well. I usually use the whole jar if the magnesium malate and then figure out the proportions for the potassium and sodium. However, I reduce the sodium by 3/4, as it’s too salty with the entire amount. I prefer to use the salt on food. Also, since I eat fish I don’t bother with the sea salt. Eventually the Greek sea salt has micro plastics in it according to some research I’ve seen. And by the way, Redmonds is sea salt, from ancient sea beds.

Nothing from the soil provides us with what we need. Kelp shrimp, various types of sea vegetables, celtic sea salt, etc. Lugol's solution and other forms of iodine. With their formula, I have concerns about taking magnesium without calcium and creating an imbalance. Why I no longer buy their product.
The ideal ratio of calcium to magnesium (Ca:Mg) in your diet is between 2:1 and 3:1. This ratio is important because calcium and magnesium compete for absorption in the small intestine. A ratio outside of this range may harm bone health and increase the risk of other health issues

    • @KetogenicWoman

@nightlady2001 The ideal ratio of calcium to magnesium is 2:1. This means that for every 1000 mg of calcium you consume, you should also consume 500 mg of magnesium.
A balance of calcium and magnesium is important because they work together in the body. Calcium is found outside cells, while magnesium is found inside cells. Calcium helps muscles contract and bones, while magnesium helps muscles relax and soft tissue

Somehow that math did not seem to match and I am not that good at math. If each tablespoon is 15 mL, which it is; and 1 teaspoon is 5 mL, which it is: 0.5 tsp = 2.5 mL. So if each serving is half a teaspoon (2.5 mL), there would be six servings in each 15 mL/tablespoon. Or are my eyes going cross?

    • @KetogenicWoman
      @KetogenicWoman  2 місяці тому

The end result was 2 tbsp (6 teaspoons). So a heaping 1/2 tsp would get you approximately 1/10th of the recipe. It's also fine to just go with a level 1/2 teaspoon which would make this 12 servings instead of 10.
