    I had my elderly mother doing this. She was having a lot of trouble with digestion, diarrhea, constipation, and major swelling. When she was drinking it her swelling went down, she felt better and her digestion and bowel issues stopped. She told her doctor about it and he had a fit. Told her she was NOT to be consuming any salt. So she listened to the doctor and all of those bad symptoms and severe swelling came right back. Doctors do a major disservice to their patients.

      @drew9252, please show your proof of your assertion that micro plastics are in Celtic salt. Personally, I am very tired of false information being accepted as real, important information. I have been using Celtics salt for years. It dissolves completely. If it dissolves completely and had plastics in it, plastics would remain and could be observed at the bottom using a microscope. Not all brands of salt have plastics.

    I use a coffee grinder and mix unrefined salts like Redmonds, Celtic, and Himalayan and grind all three. I store it in glass jars. In a one liter bottle of Evian brand water I add 1/2 teaspoon of the salt, along with 5 drops of Lugols iodine, two tablespoons of organic lemon juice, and I open 1 capsule of selenium into as well. Hey Sandy I just found you and subbed. I needed this. I just entered week 4 on carnivore and electrolytes are very important. Been using Redmonds for years and wanted everyone to know that you can purchase large blocks of it in it's untouched form and very cheap at Tractor Supply in the horse and feed section. I break it with a hammer according to my needs. Probably one tenth of the cost of ground. There can be a bit of ocean sand now and then but that will stay at the bottom anyway. You will get a bit of sand even in the shakers I have found. I will even toss a good chunk in our hot tub. I originally used it in our Aquaponics fish tanks for our trout. Good for them too and kills pathogens. Thanks for the video 👍😎👌 Oh BTW I put it in 2 plastic bags when I break it with the hammer so pieces don't go everywhere 😜

I went to the doctor for my check up so keep in mind I'm 61 and insulin resistant anyway I think it went well. Normal saline: A 1 liter bag contains 9 grams of salt, which is four times the recommended daily sodium intake.

      I am so glad to hear this for you! Since salt and filtered water never spoil, you dont have to worry about how long you leave it on your counter. As far as dumping it out, I wait a few times. When the water level gets low, I add more salt and water. Then when it is time once again I dump out what is in the jar and start over. That's just the way I do it, but I am sure continuing to add salt and water each time the level gets low is fine too.

      @@sandysteinbrook just did it this morning! I don't have the right salt yet, but I feel amazing, so thankful to have found your channel, it just popped up on my screen, yesterday. I'm always very drained from the heat, and right now I'm feeling energetic after being outside for an hour. I've dreaded every summer over how bad it makes me feel, and had no idea it was due to this. I've tried every supplement you can think of, and all I needed was salt. Anytime we had a sore in our mouth, or a sore throat when I was a kid, we use salt water to gargle. Then when I found out how good it is for our bodies to drink it... I began this as well. I think when it is mixed with lemon juice it tasted even better!

    Sandy, thank you for this recipe.
    You might want to think more about where you get your salt, and why.
    They all have different minerals and one may be better for an individual than another.
    As you likely know, the Holy Scriptures say that Jesus died for all men and God wants them all to be saved (1 Timothy 2:3-6)
    All of us that are of European descent do not come from or belong to the Americas, the native people do.
    This is true all over the world where conquering nations took whatever they pleased from the locals and then called it their own: not a Christian teaching, as love and peace are. Isaiah 2:1-4, 1 Corinthians 13:1-7

    I ordered the Redmond salt a few weeks ago but didn’t know you could make your own electrolyte drink with it. I was using redmonds re-Lyte mix which is designed to replenish your electrolytes and promote hydration. Boy, I love that stuff. I just put a little scoop of it in a bottle of water and maybe take a couple with me as I leave the house in the morning. There are several flavors…I love the mango. I feel better when I drink it. I was having arrhythmias which have mostly calmed down and I don’t crave soda pop and tea and other sugary drinks like I did before. I usually sip on several glasses of it a day.

    • @sandysteinbrook
      @sandysteinbrook  4 місяці тому

      You could definitely do that! But no, filtered water and salt will not spoil. That is why I use filtered water so it doesn't have the additives that are put in tap water to worry about. Sometimes I drink a glass twice a day, plus my husband drinks it everyday too, so we go through the water in a timely fashion.

    Good information. Just a few questions. You said you don’t use sea salt but the Real Salt product is labeled as “sea salt”, so I don’t understand what the difference is? Also, once the salt water is almost gone, and there is salt left in the bottom, can the leftover salt be used again or should it be tossed? Thank you!

    How do we add iodine to our food if we don’t use iodine from salt?

    • @sandysteinbrook
      @sandysteinbrook  4 місяці тому

      Foods that are rich in iodine are fish, shrimp, eggs and dairy. Eating those foods in their whole form and then using real salt that is full of minerals our bodies need, serves as a healthy way of living. Many people suffer from low iodine, but most people do not eat enough table salt in a day to get the recommended daily amount of iodine. Processed foods are full of low quality salt.

    Number one thing in life is to have salt my wife seen a doctor for years she's on all kinds of meds , the Dr's over the years would say No salt and Low salt well between that and one of her high blood pressure pills that can cause your salt in your body to flush out and that's what happened . She lost her mind i had to take her to the ER the Dr found the problem and told her not to take the water pill thats known in high blood pressure patients , so i know a little bit on water and salt twice a day and she came back very quickly . I told our family Dr what happened and she said i did a good thing but now my wife has dementia from low salt now she has a scar on the brain from to low of sodium in her body , Neurologist Dr told us that what happens from having low salt and from that it will leave a scare on the brain so if people tell you not to take salt tell them to pound salt everyone needs it .
