I love how Mark remembers Arthur who wasn't even in the first game but dosen't remember Bill, Javier ,Abigail or Dutch
I saw a short that said a reference to a legendary gun slinger who was most likely arthur was in the rdr1 epilouge, if thats true then arthur was technically in rdr1, even if it was just a sketch of him
@@cantinadudesArthur isn’t in the first game. he was made to be the protagonist in rdr2 only. it would’ve been cool if they linked Arthur to the first game, but I think also 1) they probably didn’t expect it to become such a legendary thing in gaming history and never expected to make a prequel, and 2) John admits somewhere in this game that he doesn’t talk about Arthur but he thinks about him, so it’s very fitting that John didn’t talk about him as he got older.

That's actually common, especially in the deep south with me, the speaking voice is using less muscle and tends to be low and gravel like. But when you expel a yell it resounds and is alot more clear

I love all the little "foreshadowing" moments in the dialogue. Such as Javier saying if it were him John would come looking for him. The writers did a fantastic job.

@UnknownDragon You can actually kill it if you have good enough weapons. If you get the Lancaster Repeater early in Rhodes, or get the Pump Shotgun early in the East Grizzlies, or get the Semi Auto Shotgun early in Big Valley you can kill it quite easily. The problem is that these weapons are not easily obtained. The even bigger problem is that even if you manage to kill it, the moment you go talk to Hosea and move on to the next cut scene it respawns so you have to track and kill it all over again and the body disappears so you cant skin it. So yeah you can kill it on your first try but if you actually manage to achieve this feat the game says fuck you for doing as your told and losing to the stupid bear and makes you kill it a second time if you want that legendary pelt. I was super happy when I finally killed it after a million tries only for Rockstar to fuck me in the ass.
Even four years later, I have to agree, this game looks absolutely beautiful, the snow textures, the lighting, the design of even small items like whiskey bottles and chocolate bars that you pick up, a real dedicated team of game devs working on those details, and the stylistic choices like the game menus and photograph loading screens.
Well done to Rockstar, more games please with this much love and attention.

this game is great, some might say its slow or whatever but honestly i like the slow pace. not everything needs to have a break neck pace to be good.

People who know this game is a prequel: I haven't felt this much suspense since Titanic.
I did know this was a prequel but I had no idea what the name of the main character was so I actually did feel suspense for John both times
I realized this fact somewhere later in this game when more specific characters started dropping like flies. That Dutch is also in the first game
I love this style of let's play, rather than the shorter, more edited "highlights reel" style. It just feels so much more genuine.
Finley Burch what I wish would happen was a “highlight reel” for when I need a condensed video, but a link in the description to an unedited full gameplay when I need the real stuff

OwO Boi in a way evil within 1 took away from his alien isolation playthrough though because he played both at the same time (due to their similar release date). that coupled with the length of the games made him and us both miss out on stuff
Re-watching the series and hearing Mark say Dutch you’ve never done me wrong and you’ll never do me wrong and knowing what happens in the end brings me so much joy I don’t know why but I do.

It makes sense. Red dead 2 is a wonderful and beautiful game with a breath taking story line. I loved playing it so much it was probably the 1st time I didn't skip any cinematics. I still don't skip even on my 3rd play through
