  • Welcome to day 2 of the 30 Day Improvers Yoga Challenge. Today we have a 20 min full body yoga flow revisiting some of the poses from yesterday's class.
Every other day in the challenge we will reset with a full body flow to give your body a break. There will still be the option to revisit some of the poses from previous days to keep your practice consistent.
In today's class we work through a full body sequence with standing and seated poses as well as revisiting crow pose and headstand for those that would like to.
I hope you enjoy day 2 of the challenge.

The same, but I guess today I wasn’t so overwhelmed by the poses… I changed tripod to a normal headstand coz that is what I was practicing lately… I think there’s little strength in my hands/wrists or I just don’t knw how to activate it, so headstand is actually easier for me coz weight is kind of evenly balanced on my arms and less on my head… today was a better day for me, more hope 😂😂😂 see u day 3

You should try using a prop or something to give you elevation (put your feet on it), then plant your hands on the floor. That way, your elbows are lower than your knees. You might not get it the first time, but the more you do that, the more you will be able to lift yourself. PLEASE NOTE THAT BODY PROPORTIONS ALSO MATTER.

I feel so relaxed and accomplished after this practice. I am unable to do crow or headstand at this time because of arthritis in my hands and wrists, but I will keep trying and modifying to get as close as I can. Thank you Charlie!

@@valerys7825 remember to use strong hands, strong fingers. You are not just resting on your hands, you are clawing your fingers into the floor. It takes some of the stress off the wrist that way.

Not sure I will ever do a headstand, or if it is safe for me to do one, but I have been practicing for 6 months to get back to being able to do crow and I finally got it yesterday. I haven’t been able to for 10 years. Keep practicing and you will get there. It’s tricky balance.

Good to revisit the skills. I always get a bruise while doing crane so here's another one! Thanks for sharing Charlie.

Thanks, Charlie :) have been adding in arm and ankle weights to build strength, but definitely felt a little energy deplete today from doing that on Day 1! Still managed to get into crow and headstand. I can see this will already be a journey of self-learning. :)

Today, though challenging for me, felt so rewarding ❤ I’ve seen a couple comments saying coming back to crow and headstand was really nice today and I couldn’t agree more! I’m a long ways off to perfecting or performing either but I’m excited to continue building off of each practice with compassion and joy.

Yesterday I tried the tripod headstand for the 1st time in my life and it was so refreshing, I managed to keep my knees on my elbows but no more. And today i lifted one of my legs and it was amazing, but lifting both legs at the same time seems impossible for now😂
Thank you so much for your hard work, for your kind and supportive guidance❤

I felt great today as I held the crow for the first time in a very very long time, there is no doubt in my mind that your sessions are helping me build a stronger practise. I also had my legs stable on my elbows throughout the headstand which was a new position for me. Last but not least I just felt amazing stretching through your poses after a run. Thank you Charlie for your guidance. Feels safe and encouraging all the way though but challenging as well. Such a challenging balance, you are incredible ❤❤
