    I’m almost positive this is the same “meat” that they use in the impossible whoppers at Burger King. It’s the same exact packaging. I worked there not too long ago and the patty is plant based, mostly pea protein, soy, etc. normal stuff in a plant based burger. Although I don’t know how they make it so delicious and meat like. Tastes just like meat to me! I would never know the difference! Definitely recommend.

They both are processed and have chemicals but mock meats have a healthier nutritional profile than processed meat, and processed plants do not cause cancer as opposed to processed meats

(without adding dairy industry cows) A cow is a 600kg animal. Its needs according to food and water are way more than a human. So, if you think that vegans are responsible for the grain that is gathered by a child in Africa, you have to reanalyze your thoughts. Think about the numbers. 140 billion animals slaughtered every year, add dairy, think how much resources are needed... Actually the dead eaters are responsible for all these facts.

So ud rather eat meat and act bad on the environment just because near enough everyone else does, well eating things with high saturated fats, fats, high sugary and salty foods with negative additives and toxins will leave you psychologically fogged, and your health will not be as peaked and strong as quorn, quorn is sustainable for the planet and also has numerous health benefits, theres hardly no saturated fats or fats and it's high in all 9 proteins and builds muscle faster than meat does. The price difference is entirely artificial, because many western governments massively subsidise certain types of agriculture, especially animal agriculture.
      We also need to factor external costs, ie costs that are not borne by the producer but by the society and the environment. Mear has huge environmental costs, and its production leads directly to people getting sick from the effluent and other waste created, and indirectly as a result of years of consuming far more meat, eggs and dairy than human bodies evolved to be able to.
      So cost is not just the price you see in the store.

    Pathetic. All my life I was taught to not eat processed food. As I got older I learned things and realized that was excellent advice. The farther food is from its original state the worse it will be for us. Now here comes food (not in my book) that is approx. 12 processes away from its original state. And all of this so a claim can be made that it comes from plants. Generations of my family ate as omnivores and lived well and in good health and into they're late eighties and nineties. That is not to say eating mostly plants isn't a great idea. I believe it is. In the original state. Like salad and baked potatos and steamed corn. Eat the bloody plants, not the process!

    If you're going to eat meat analogues, try Worthington Foods and Loma Linda Brand Traditions instead. Why don't y'all show us how they make the original American meat analogues? It's brands like Impossible Foods that may have brought meat alternatives to more people's plates, but Worthington and Loma Linda deserve way more respect when--for decades--they were the biggest manufacturers of veggie meats around. Their products have stood the test of time and are still delicious today. If treated with dignity and prepared like actual meats in various recipes, products like Big Franks and Vege-Burger can win over most meat eaters as well.

    Prepackaged plant based burgers have chemical additives, extra sugars added making it just as bad as a real burger for you when it comes to sugars and bad carbohydrates, read an article in a magazine that promotes vegetarian and vegan diets - they compared many prepackaged plant based "meat" products to actual meat products and many times the plant based products had twice the sugar, twice the amounts of bad fats, and twice the amounts of simple carbs than the meat products. If I'm going to eat plant based products, I will grind my own meat substitute at home.

      Most vegans used to eat meat and still love the taste but choose not to eat dead animal parts anymore. So it’s pretty normal to find an alternative. Tofu is a 2000 year old meat substitute invented by Buddhist monks to help followers on the way to enlightenment.

    • @sid35gb
      @sid35gb 2 роки тому

      @@alexk3469 there’s over 2000 different kinds of protein in the human body, which can make all of them apart from 8 which are sometimes described as essential amino acids.
      The question you have to ask is, if they are so important to health why hasn’t the body evolved to make them as well?
      The answer is simple there’s no need because they’re available in abundance in our food. If you have a protein deficiency this would be something that happens in a developing country where the crops have failed and there’s famine or in the west where an individual has a serious mental health condition that stops them from eating anything at all.
      Also a human baby doubles in size in 6 months drinking only it’s mother’s milk (just for the record is classified as vegan) which is less then 5% of calories from protein.
      There’s protein in everything you eat cows don’t eat steak so they’re getting their protein from plants.
