In terms of health impact... each category of food has its own life nowadays
How it’s produced, the ingredients and chemicals used, the oil used, the temperature at which the cooking process heated up to, the country of origins and travel distance, vegan/organic, etc
I am not vegan but in terms of health impact I would devo suggest eating whole food
So it's not healthier, just more environmental friendly.
Great choice of words 👍
Except it’s never been environmentally friendly to build a factory
Chase Matthews . You might think that, but beef production is not only bad for the environment, it’s shockingly inefficient.
8 calories put into beef for 1 calories worth of energy (an 8:1 ratio), not to mention the costs of water that cows drink shitloads of. Impossible beef doesn’t even use standard coal chugging factories, doesn’t take much energy to mix some stuff together.

I'm a meat eater. I smoke meat, grill meat and likely will never go vegetarian for many reasons. But these impossible burgers are friggin delicious. Between the texture and flavor, they're a solid close rival to a real beef burger. Costco samples is what introduced me to this food, and I am grateful. But this company is still negatively impacting the planet by packaging everything in plastic made from non-renewable resources. There are other plastics made from plant based materials they could use if they want to complete the circle.

Don't buy the imitation BS. Make your own (if you absolutely must go vegetarian) It's quite sad that the world is coming to this, we are omnivores, just like chimps and many other apes. If I had to make my own ''meatless burger'' (there would never be such thing in my cooking) it would contain mushrooms as well, to give it a good full flavour.
Because meats good for you and fake sludge is not, it’s simple. Don’t listen to the vegans, they just repeat what they hear in Netflix “documentaries,” they can’t actually think for themselves
4:07 A lot of people, not scientists? hmm kekw

ToryRoary that is the point
I definitely love meat but i dislike the idea of livestock, this is like a gift for me..thanks impossible foods, Salute to your staff members
I’m actually came here just to find out what the red liquid was coming out of my impossible burger when I had it on the grill cooking lol thank you for explaining this my mom doesn’t eat meat so just want to make sure I’m not feeding her real meat.
It’s heme,a component of red blood cells that gives meat it’s iron flavor. But it’s made from yeast.
Just watched South Park episode about Impossible Whooper and this comes out. Like Eric Cartman said both processed meat and impossible meat in fast food are ****, so it is fine eating this or that.
What did eric say ?
Several health groups are concerned that eating fake meats are unhealthy.
Fake burgers are not necessarily healthier than a beef burger, because it's actually higher in saturated fat and lower in protein. It's also highly processed, which means it's not necessarily a particularly healthy food in general.
Well, to get all moral about it, if they are both the same, why would you eat something as resource-demanding as real beef?
eLyUKayEe I guess it’s for vegetarians.
By the way, I am meat lover who avoids processed food. So mostly meat (grass fed) and fish (wild caught), veggies, fruits, nuts, seeds and oils with occasional starches.
But I LOVE the idea of at least some meat alternative that tastes like meat and I hope more will come in future.
The Impossible meat is mostly soy which is good but only in small amounts as it affects hormones a lot but if it is going to have about the same price as grass fed beef and being easily available I am not against having it on the plate once or twice a week.
Would you Thanos snap all the cows?
"I probably would."
The hardest choices require the strongest wills.
and in so doing, you would slowly kill 100's of millions of people
this is great for ground beef, but what about steak?
ground beef already is a byproduct when farming for the better pieces of the cow.
i'm gonna try my first plant based burger soon-ish though, just out of curiosity.
Nothing could truly replace steak as it's muscle on bone etc, but there's mycelium bacon I hear is very similar to bacon itself.
To be very clear, The Whopper and the Impossible Whopper are pretty much the same calorie count wise, in fact the impossible whopper has higher sodium. It's not "healthier" in that sense.
I mean we're talking about burgers here, something that isn't healthy. The point is less is it healthy ot not?
The point is does it taste like a burger while being better for the environment? Which the answer is yes
@@blitszina2570 I'm all for the environment but do I think for a second impossible burger will be a replacement to farming, no not for a second, not in any meaningful amount at least. I think it gives vegans, and vegetarians a vast quality of life improvement for people who want more vegetarian "normalized" food.
More cuts than a michael bay movie 6:45

Imagine how cheap it is to produce this product.......
It's not

The front end is where the highest expense is, give it a few years and it will be easier to scale up and mass produce

So it's basically tofu Tempe hybrid with added fat and coating of potato and blood of mushroom or maybe different version of tofu that married with Tempe and have children? This is interesting, I hope soon it available in my area..
6:45 I love how he didn't answer the question, just talked about bacteria development which has a lot more to do with the cooking and storage of it. plus all these jumpcuts and his dry mouth really add to his credibility. this IS Tegrity Burger.
That editor could have taken half those jump cuts out, also the cameraman needs a damn tripod for sills like that cause the bobbing was hella annoying.
It’s natural selection, people dumb enough to eat goo will die young. Vegans are solving over population for us, RIP fallen soldiers
@@ShortandWide why didn't you accuse the editor for being a shill paid by the meat industry?
Shattered Star because the meat industry doesn’t have nearly the same funds as big grain or big sugar

A genetically modified organism (GMO) is any organism whose genetic material has been altered using genetic engineering techniques. The exact definition of a genetically modified organism and what constitutes genetic engineering varies, with the most common being an organism altered in a way that "does not occur naturally by mating and/or natural recombination"
And given that even if they don't use pesticides the land is all contaminated from the last 80 or more years, anyone claiming foid us Organic is laughable.
Thanos is working on the power to snap his fingers .. "oh wow" .. to wipe out half the planet. Lol the fact he was amazed with the finger snapping part made me laugh
Love this.
Oh. This is so healing for me. I lived in very poor country with people who don't know anything about cruality which human have done about animals. So, I wish this would happen in all of the world soon. Thank you very much to do it. 👌
Why does the guy at the beginning sound like yaasuo
"The world might have no choice but to embrace it". Lol sounds like a threat
I tried this meat in a burger today. Its not bad!. Reminds me of a hungry jacks patty. Its very flavourful, feels like meat.
You should have used clips of cows in factory farms WHAT ITS REALLY LIKE
As interesting as this is, i'm still hoping lab grown meat (100% real animal protein grown in a lab without the use of antibiotics or needing to raise and slaughter animals) will become the affordable and planet saving solution to the worlds meat demands
I'm a vegan and I like having this option. I do think the flavor is a little strong but Hands down, it has more flavor than actual meat! Thank you for creating this product!
Ima newly Vegan 😌and I love plant meat 🍖😋😍I have no prob with how its madeee
@@peopleas1healingtrauma I check the labels of everything I consume and a good rule of thumb is, If you can't pronounce what's in it, probably shouldn't consume it. You should also look at the shelf life and preservatives that are used in. Some preservatives may contain cancer causing agents.
Being vegan means you don't consume any animal products, and that means dairy products as well. Sounds easy enough but sometime the labels are misleading. Anyway, there should be zero cholesterol in anything purchased for human consumption. Research as much as you can. Sometimes it's overwhelming how much information there is on the subject. Be true to who you are and protects your conscience by being knowledgeable about you choices. And of course make good choices for you! My daughter was vegan b/4 me and she's lost 20 pounds just by changing her diet. It's all about mind, body, spirit and soul! Congratulations on making the transition, a healthier you is on the way!! 😉
I love the impossible burgers. I also love regular burgers. I’ll take both!
