He is such a tech kid whos into phones, tablets and gadgets that he cracks up when zack does his tests. I cant thank you guys enough. Due to the autism he prefers to play alone. Its a rare thing for him and i to do something "fun" together. That he'll watch your videos with me is astounding. Like many ASD kids, hes in his own world and its rare for him to invite anyone else in.

I’ve just spent 2 mins cleaning my phone screen because there were black marks all over it. It’s only after I realised they are bits of glass on your table. Props for having such fine cameras but I want my 2 mins back.
Just keep steel construction screws and keys out of your iPad case and you'll be fine. This is not a device you'd keep in your pocket so chances of damage are pretty small.

I just checked on the Apple website and no. You can‘t have a giraffe. BUT! You can have a mouse, pig, cow, unicorn, cat, dog, horse, monkey, rabbit, chicken, snake or capricorn.
You can get the same effect with a lot of matte-finish screen protectors available online. I've been using them for years on my iPads and Android phones. I've even got one on my Samsung Galaxy Book. They also have the added benefit of being much cheaper than this option and also protecting your screen (vice making it more fragile).
I checked and the quality of this is a lot better. A lot less visual downgrades. Those screen protectors though also protects the screen so it’s a big bonus. Still I would say that if one is looking for the best screen quality while having it matte and also a little more pen grip (not as much as with say a protector like paperlike) this screen is quality wise better than protectors
@litjellyfish I'll have to take my current iPad (with the $10 matte protector) to Best Buy and see if I can compare the screens side-by-side. You're probably right about the quality of the image, though I've got them on all my screens so I don't notice any degradation anymore. My worry with the new iPad would be scratching the built-in matte screen. I'm guessing you can't put another screen protector over the nano-glass.

Still I dont think that will give good results. So if it’s just for protecting I guess you need to use a sleeve. I mean let’s be honest this super expensive device should be seen as a pro level thing and should never leave the “studio” at the most it can end up in the home / studio sofa imo. I think if one wants more friction it’s down to a nib solution (that will not wear down the grip texture of the screen) For me this is a Cintiq / Wacom studio alternative. Not even calling it so portable. I think only lacking is size. It works but a 15” would make a world of difference for some artists I guess.

I have the M4 iPad Pro 13 Inch with the Nano-Texture display and while many might not like it, I genuinely found it much better for drawing on than the glossy glass display, plus I doubt I'll be scratching the screen with any metal objects anytime soon

As a former electronic repair technician, watching him handle the broken ipad screen like that gives me the heeby jeebys. Every time i worked on an ipad that has a shattered screen, i'd ALWAYS get glass shards stuck in my fingers and hands, and they SUCKED to get out. I'd often have to look at my appendage under the microscope, and perform micro-surgery on myself to remove the glass...
Or just don't buy nano if you know you own anything can damage the display... Buying a premium display and putting on a screen protector is like driving a car with a limiter always on... You still have your beautiful car, but you have spent a lot more...

The purpose is to drive fast, and the speed limit hinders it. If you buy this ipad and then put a screen protector, you are not using ANY of the advantages of the nano display, thus comparable to the speed limiter.

Don't do this, at least not with anything not apple certified. I'm no fan of paying more than I have to, but adhesive from the screen protector may end up filling in the pits in the glass, ruining it after you remove it or forcing you to use solvents. With apple approved stuff, it will mean the adhesive can at least be cleaned up 100%. It's better to just get the glossy display and apply a textured screen protector like Paperlike. Just be aware, pen wear will be a thing and visual quality will be inferior to the etched display.
You applied quite a lot of force to break it on the bend test. That considered it's unlikely to suffer similar damage due to regular use, I'm impressed. Kudos to Apple!

I'm no fan of paying more than I have to, but adhesive from the screen protector may end up filling in the pits in the glass, ruining it after you remove it or forcing you to use solvents. With apple approved stuff, it will mean the adhesive can at least be cleaned up 100%.
It's better to just get the glossy display and apply a textured screen protector like Paperlike. Just be aware, pen wear will be a thing and visual quality will be inferior to the etched display.
You applied quite a lot of force to break it on the bend test. That considered it's unlikely to suffer similar damage due to regular use, I'm impressed. Kudos to Apple!
