you know, I thought I was being absolutely ridiculous daily driving a 99 M3. but the more I see cars like this that are just maintained and driven, the more I think taking the time to just enjoy these older cars everyday is the move.
Yes, and the contrast between the average new daily driver and our 90s/2000s gems only becomes more apparent every year
You sir, are one of my favorite automotive youtubers. Super "slept on" as the kids would say
Wicked video Marcus. Next mish should be a single turbo 2.7t. That was my goal when i owned one, love how the weight was addressed. Makes me miss her.
Yeah sounds like a freight train
Love them B5’s!
Admittedly it’s more impressive that it’s a stroked s4, than running meth and e85. Every mild Audi build runs meth and e85 lol
Every build car ruin E85...
Agreed!
@@valtzuuu Not in europe. :(
Hope y'all enjoy this one! If you listen closely you probably heard the rev-limit on a couple of the no-lift shifts. Felt like a couple times it worked properly and cut spark (limiting revs) but most times it just shot to rev limit haha. I had mentioned on camera it didn't feel like it was working properly but that didn't make the final cut. So extra thanks to Jeff for letting me straight power shift your car 😂
Been driving mild 1.8T for about 10+ years and they handle great with proper suspension mods. The S4’s were more of a straight line bruiser.
I just got one as my first car. What would you recommend doing first? I want to make it a fun car without having to always fix it 😂
Hey man, I love the channel.
How are you getting so much good weather? You must be shooting several cars a day when we have our brief breaks from the rain. Great video as always.
Haha usually just 1 video in a day. This one was shot on April 20th, we had a solid week of sun but now it's turned for the worse.
the dedication ppl have to doing mixed/fuel ap on these 20v or RUNNING a 20v never ceases to amaze me XD. id say the same for ppl that build up 2.7s But hey im a vr6 fan.
Make it blue. Santorin Blue is hard to beat on a B5. I know I miss mine.
It's so unusual to turn a B5 S4 into a 1.8t (2L stroker). My B5 A4 Quattro has been turned into an S4 with a front bumper, side skirts etc. Running a Borgwarner EFR on a built 1.8 but I want to stroke it.
AYO?
B5 S4 chassis is actually pretty beefy and does great with a lighter front end, some suspension/ bushing upgrades, and rear sway. Even with doing everything you can to lighten up the front end with the 2.7 and all the suspension bolt ons its still a little heavy up there. It's not as bad as people say tho. Thing should do really well as a canyon or track bomber. 1.8t is 10 times easier to work on and access vs 2.7t. Don't know about beating stage 3 s4s tho. Would have to see that.
1.8t for the win :D
These are so hard to find these days!
You finally getting bac to your roots! However I do still miss those bad ass intros with sic sound tracks!
Not sure what this means but thank you!
@@RoadsUntraveled Miss your videos on tuner's cars and miss those intros like the Green Rx7 video or the Grey R32 from few years ago. Been watching your videos since the beginning! Love the enthusiasm!
I know 4 B5’s you could review in CA if you’re interested that are all 2.7’s.
Whereabouts? Might be in LA in the Fall.
@@RoadsUntraveled All 4 are in LA so this would be easy, there’s a 5th S4 with RS4 widebody so if i can convince him to let you review it that would be nice seeing more widebody’s being reviewed. But for sure you’d have 4 to choose from that are fun when you come to LA
It'd be cooler to see them all together in the canyons.
@@johnobrien8773 I have 2 ready to go, not sure about the others yet. One is a 550awp S4 and the other is a 380whp S4
Poor guy missed the best audi engine by 1 cylinder in both directions haha. Dope car i really like the older sedans.
Lets do a pull ... fast forward a few seconds and there is a biker on the road 😂
These b5s4s arent very heavy for audis. around 33-3500lbs from the factory wtih spare and everything. mines just over 3k lbs and makes 450/475 with the stock 2.7. 1.8s are cool but they just dont sound near as good as the 2.7. Ive ran a big turbo built 1.8 car supposedly making over 500 and i put a few cars on him. I just could go backwards and put an a4 motor in my s4. I cant turn it up a lb or 2 and make the exact power hes making but with a completely stock 2.7.
What's the owners @?

Not all V8s are the same , my 4 l V6 Ranger produces more power than the 5 l V8 in the 1980s Mustang . Cleetus McFarland has a drag car that can go 234 mph inside of a quarter mile . Meaning his car is faster than a Bugatti Veyron . With half the cylinders and half the turbos . Even stock they range from making under 200 horsepower to making over 700 horsepower .
Mark, are you on mushrooms 🍄🟫
If that sh!+ don't go 200+ with all that's been done...it's trash!
I’ve seen way better examples, still one of my fav body styles.
