I'm so glad there are people like her in the world.
You are so right! What a kind, special woman!
Me too. Who needs holidays when you can have a squirrel family?
awesome cuteness.
YES
Amen.
We don’t have squirrels in the house but they come to be fed. Keep their distance but it’s funny to watch them. So intelligent!
Thank you for rescuing these beauties! 🐿
In Calgary, quite a few small businesses that could leave doors open and would feed the squirrels. One had squirrels that would come in the front door and zip down the hallway to get to the (also open) back door where their food was put out for them. I also lived on the 11th floor of an apartment building and the squirrels could climb up the outside stucco wall to my balcony. I started leaving food out for them, too!
I am the same way with pigeons and birds, we don't have squirrels in Australia.
I feed them and the crows in my balcony, i love them so much but we got kicked out from the apartment cause of it, now staying with relatives. i miss them more than anything
@@saraneel4968 Are you in an area that has flocks of cockatoos as well? I’m so sorry that you lost your apartment
@@darlenefraser3022 thanks:) not the area i'm in but there are alot of areas here that do have flocks of cockatoos. The area i'm staying in now with my relative has a huge park behind the house with lots of different types of birds and beautiful parrots i started to feed and taking care of them too. Recently i noticed two ducks i think someone dumbed them here i want to try to find someone who can adopt and take care of them.
Squirrels are so often taken for granted or even seen as nuisances to be gotten rid of. I have back porch feeders for both our neighborhood squirrels and birds. I never get tired of either. I love stories like this and hope they can educate us to take care of and be kind to our acrobatic furry friends.
I agree with you Steven. Its a shame as grey squirrels - I am in the UK - can't be released into the wild if caught or treated by a vet so would have to be put down as not native even though they have been here for many many years. Been a while since I've been up to the park so that reminds me need to go back with some nuts for them.
Squirrels can be pests sometimes depending on tho situation and surroudings they are living
People are the only nuisance
@@daphne4983 Sadly very true.
@@daphne4983 nope
This is sweet. I raised a squirrel, and it was a very rewarding experience
They are adorable. Thank you for making so much sacrifices to ensure they are safe, warm, fed and happy. I hope you get to have a vacation one day soon.
How adorable God bless you ❤ 💖 💕
💕💕💕
Well if you lived in Florida I'd be more than happy to give you a vacation! I had a rescue squirrel for 8 months and released him back into the wild. His choice and mine. I loved him but I never planned to keep him. The look on his face when he climbed up a huge oak tree was priceless. What a trip they are! I have a lot of my house to repair from chewing, but I'd do it again in a heartbeat. 🤗 Just FYI, squirrels are not as soft and furry as you think they are. They have a little bit of bristle to them, but not much. My little Scruffy eventually ran from around 6:00 in the morning for about an hour around my bedroom and would jump on my chest and keep going. When he got tired he'd lay down next to me spread out so he could scratchies. 🤗 I was happy I started feeding him outside plants, which he LOVED, about a month before he was released. I'm confident he's ok.
she would probably be very unhappy on vacation, i don't want to leave the wildlife that share our house...
Are there no squirrel friendly hotels there?
This is one of the best GeoBeats I've seen. This woman is a character -- in a very good way. It's touching how much she loves her squirrels and sees the range of emotions they have. Bravo to her!
Yeah, bravo to this kind and caring lady!
Seriously? I have the OPPOSITE impression about this woman's mental and emotional priorities---and I'm an Animal Lover!!! I care deeply for our four-legged fuzzy family members---but I'm in charge of my own home, not them. They look to me for care, play, food, etc. but I still manage to live my own life. (When I travel, I get pet sitters for crying out loud)
@@stardust949 a few years ago i renovated our home, there were two ten foot section of walls open and a couple of doors left off, i planted a couple of trees in the lounge which now has a fourteen foot [clear sheeting] roof. we have two ponds in the lounge also.3 species of frogs moved in to the ponds and its nice to hear them calling to each other. we have a bird feeder in the lounge and when the weather is bad we have four species of honeyeaters coming and going throughout the day, finches and native pigeons also come in for a feed. also snakes and lizards and possums. the only down side is mosqitos in the warmer months fortunately just a few. i don't think i could cope with living in a ''normal'' house again. most people are so removed from nature in todays world, most wouldn't care if we cause the extinction of most of the wildlife on the planet...
@@michaeljoncour4903 I am sure those animals appreciate the beautiful home you made and now share with them.
Squirrels are social and love to have friends. You did the right thing taking the other one in. Nice job 👍
What joy you have brought to them and to me and all others with a heart for loving all.living creatures!!
It would be nicer if they were free
@@777Id7m Life in the wild is full of starvation predation parasites freezing sweltering on and on
If you think nature is a comfortable Paradise for animals you need to study the matter further
Some animals can't be released to the wild and survive, so being "free" is not an option
Squirrels are incredibly underrated honestly, even though many see them just about everywhere, not many really seem to stop and appreciate them as the complex and wonderfully social animals they are.
Actually spend hours looking out the window at squirrels. They play around a lot where I live and I just love the thought of them. I really want to get a couple of my own but I think I'll raise them one at a time from babies and then that way I can Bond better with them I feel if I get them from birth it'll be better and easier to bond I want them to be the first thing I they see is me and not a walnut LOL
Having taken care of squirrels in the past, i can confirm, the squirrels own the home, theyre just kind enough to let her live there too lol.. theyre so damn cute tho, its impossible not to love them.
I completely agree with this awesome lady, they can absolutely feel all the emotions that we do! Animals just don't speak the same language as us...
Oh so true yet we can clearly understand and respond in mutual affection and ❤
Out of curiosity how does it work to manage their poop, are they pretty good at going in the same place? Can you litter box train them?
You have a heart unconditional. It is why you are unconditionally loved.
I know exactly how you feel. I feed the squirrels in my backyard twice a day every day. I have even gone out of my way to buy peanuts when the local grocery store is out of peanuts. I made a small playground / sanctuary for them. I have a lawn chair out back so I can work remotely while spending time with the squirrels. They make me laugh every day. They are all used to me. None of them run away anymore. There is at least one squirrel who will scratch on the back door if all the peanuts are gone. Lol. I open the door and the squirrel is standing there expecting peanuts. Lol. So I put out 4 handfuls of peanuts.
“ How did I get this lucky to find this kind of love?“ Indeed. I’ve asked myself the same question in regards to the animals in my life. We are extremely fortunate, that’s for certain. I think about that daily. 😊
SAME !!!!
They are blessings
I have two canine children and I often ask myself; who rescued who? I think the proper grammar is, "who rescued whom?" But it's okay. I am loved just by being whom I am. I mean, just by being who I am. It don't matter none. All you need is ❤️.
She's correct! All animals feel and think and reason like we do! Probably insects too! She is an amazing person!
With my experience...I truly believe insects do as well!
If cuteness has a knob, someone must have turned it so far it broke to get all the cuteness that went into this video.
Love that she says she has had to change her lifestyle for these adorable squirrels. That is love.
I'm such a squirrel nut! Pun intended 😁 Two squigges are just the ticket for happiness. Have you asked a vet if your male can get neutered ? Yes, they are an honor to have, and blessed to have you. This will be a video that I will watch many times. Thank you for your love for these two beauties 🐿️🐿️❤️
it sounds like those two squirrels have been bonded for quite some time. I think if they were able to breed, they already would have.
She is a wonderful person with a kind heart. The world needs more people like this dear person.
I have to say, “squigges” is such a cute nickname for squirrels lmao
Such happiness...so lucky are we that this lovely woman chose to share her home with the furbabies and the story with us!!
What beauties they are! I couldn't vacation either or leave them alone either ! ❤💚💙💜
Agreed!
I have a cat icin from the past..but my favorites are squirels and guine pigs
These babies are so cute. My dad, years ago, rescued a baby squirrel that was drowning at the curb after a bad storm. Chippie 💓 mom and dad but would attach anyone else that entered the house. No need for a burglar alarm. LOL Dad would take her to the park to play with the other squirrels and when she had enough she would crawl up dad's leg to his shoulder for the ride home. Chippie ruled. Chippie also chewed on every piece of wood in the house. No mistaken it was her by the marks she made with those front teeth.

Thanks for your post. It brought back fond memories. Your dedication to these guys is admirable. Enjoy them, they are special.
I have a squirrel who lives in my backyard. His name is Harris Enrique Squirrel. I recently caught him eating bread he hid in a bush. I also woke up one morning and saw him on to the screen door looking into the kitchen.
I never realized squirrels make all these different sounds.
So sweet! They are fun little critters 💖
It's a rat with long hair.. Nuisance.
I know what you mean about just crying when you have that unbelievable bond with another species. They are a blessing we just as humans don’t deserve. You are a beautiful person for giving them such a great life.
😂😂 that one at the beginning that growls is so freagen cute
I think that was slowed down
@@Ass_of_Amalek aww yeah probably that makes sense
Aww, I'm a South African and I have been in the presence of some of the largest animals on the planet including even the Mountain Gorillas of Rwanda but I have never seen a real live Squirrel! Crazy I know. I adore these little creatures and wish I could meet some of the little fairy people that they are.
Wow. I can’t imagine seeing beautiful gorillas 🦍 up close. That must just be awesome. Beautiful lands too. God bless you. 🇨🇦🙏❤️
Honestly, find a college campus in the us. And there's bound to be at least one or two squirrels bullying the students out of their food.
It's so nice to feel like I'm not the only one who would do this and love them so deeply too. Why do people think we're so odd? My husband and i haven't taken a vacation since we got 2 horses in 1995 - I've had alot of animals ever since (ducks, pigs, cats, dogs, lizards, fish,) Thank you for giving them your home and your love. 🤎
What a wonderful home you and your husband are enjoying with all your 'family' ❤
I have raised several babies to adults. I love them. They are not rodents, they can't get rabies, they are very smart, especially the females. You make my heart glow.
I've had two squirrels that I bottle fed. They're amazing and loving. I can't understand how we have sugar gliders as pets but not these darling squirrels!
You are a Rock Star. Animals can be the best friends and be the best friend ever.
I’m glad these precious babies found each other …💚🙏💚
Sweetest little couple! They are so loved. Live long and produce more babies!
Thank you for giving them unconditional love...animals give us everything ..humans are not capable of giving that to each other.
MUCH RESPECT....LOW BOW YOU ARE 1 IN A BILLLION...DO NOT LET HUMANS EVERY CHANGE YOU!!!
The relationship / friendship you share with them is 💯% pure joy ❕
One of the sweetest videos I have ever seen. I can understand why she feels everything she said. I LOVE HER SQUIRRELS, TOO!!!!
You are a great mom, to these two beautiful squirrels. They are very lucky to have you! They look soooo happy!
Squirrels are awesome they always keep you on your toes and entertained
They are so precious and sweet
God Bless You. They are precious.
It sounds like two young lovers who have taken over the house. What a pair of crazy gal plays
Bonding with an animal is the purest form of love.
those are some of the most expressive animals I have ever seen. they seem very entertaining and remind me of cartoon characters.
What a special Mommy. The 3 of you are so special. Thirty years ago I had a squirrel start coming to visit me on my patio when I would come home from work. He would just sit there so close to me. Before long I was petting him. I even named him. So every evening when I would get home I would give him a hand full of walnuts without the shells. The ones for baking. He loved it. Squirrely became my little buddy. Everyone that knew me said he's rabid. No he wasn't, he was just so precious to me. I was going through alot at the time, it almost felt like maybe he sensed it.
God Bless
God blessed you with that squirrel!!! He's blessed me with amazing wild animals to bond with, from squirrels to hawks.
Awwww!! How adorable! Thank you for taking care of these cuties!
It's really amazing this strong bond between the both. They have a good life thanks to you. You are really lucky to have them.
That’s a selfless heart ♥️ 🐿 🐿
My mom had a flying squirrel 🐿️ that was one of her favorite pets of all . There so affectionate
I love this woman and her adorable little squirrel family and I completely agree with her in that animals feel emotions just like we do!! It is a rare individual who will change the way they live in order to properly care for an animal!! I wish her and her beautiful little squirrel family all the happiness in the world!!
Cheers
Just beautiful!
Wow, such a great job setting up a whole room for them. That shows your 💕 for these 2 fur babies.
What a beautiful story 🙏🏾🥰 I absolutely love squirrels. I’m so happy they were given a second chance at life and get to be with someone as amazing as you 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
You're Damn right Lady......it is an honor and I cry along side of you watching all that beauty.
So so very precious..❤🐿
My brother’s neighbor found a baby squirrel in his yard and knew my brother and his wife did lots of rescuing so he took the baby to his house. Of course they took on the task, helped her to be independent and eventually took her castle to a friend’s farm where Susie lived happily ever after. My brother would visit her and found her happy as can be in her new home and with her squirrel friends. I have squirrels visiting my deck and I always get excited to see them. My kitty and I will pull up our little stools and watch them like we are at a movie together. Very entertaining.
You are truly blessed...and a blessing to them 🧡🧡
I had a pet squirrel and I let it loose in the front yard with the big oak trees - and so it joined the other squirrels. I called its name once and it ran down the big oak tree to run up on my shoulder. After that the squirrel just ignored me. I'm sure it was happier living outside as a normal squirrel would do - climbing trees, etc. So why didn't she ever let her squirrels outside to enjoy the real squirrel world? Maybe she needed the squirrels' affection too much.
Your idea is not farfetched 👍
Good for all three of you. Beautiful story.
My tear jerker story for the day, thanks so much! Another favorite is the woman who set up a home for a bee she found with no wings. It makes me cry just thinking about it
🥰 The squirrels are so sweet together and I love the way the one squirrel leans into her mom’s affectionate pets at 3:55! I was also surprised by the noises they make since I haven’t heard squirrels really make noises before. Great story, rescuers, and video!
My mother used to have squirrels that she and eventually a few other of us could feed nuts to by hand. Very sweet, funny little critters. A couple of them would put their paws on your hand as it would take the nuts and look right at you as if to say thanks.
I have squirrel-proof bird feeders hanging on my porch, but I always put plenty of seed on my porch floor so the squirrels can feast, too. I have both gray and red squirrels coming by all day for meals and I love them so much! No wonder she loves her squirrel babies so much, they are just too cute, how could you not fall in love with them!?
Bless your heart. Thank you for taking such good care of them and giving them such a great life.
O m g. Look at the baby 👶 She so adorable and precious! God bless you all amen 🙏
So so precious! Thanks for sharing your beautiful story.
Now that's some serious commitment ❤💕❣
What a sweet, darling lady and such sweet, darling squirrels! Such a cozy, lovely family.❤ So full of love and tenderness.❤
I just love you and your squirrels!! You sound so practical and at the same time have given over TOTALLY and SUCCUMBED to that mighty Squirrel love!! I loved this video and sister God Bless you, you restored my faith in humanity!! The film footage is fantastic! Thank you for this!
I totally understand your love of squirrels. It is an honor to have them in your life and that they trust you. I envy you. I have always loved squirrels, have fed several generations of them, given them shelter (outside), food, water, much to my neighbor's annoyance. Most people think I'm nuts (no pun intended). I have rescued many but the state they were in, I brought them to a wildlife vet to be cared for, rehabbed and released. I loved hearing your story and if I had them, I'd want to go home too. They and all animals do feel a full array of emotions. It is only religion and the arrogance and ignorance of certain a__holes who assume they don't have any or that their feelings don't matter. You are my kind of people. Best to you, Sammy and Barkley.
Bonnie - animals have souls. They’ll be with us in heaven for all eternity. ❤️🙏🥰🇨🇦
@@CarolineWolterHall I so wish that were true. I was not raised with any religion or spirituality. My parents didn't want any competition with "God." But I always secretly wish that I will see all my animals that I loved deeply in this life again. At the end of my life, I know that my most cherished memories will be my time with animals and a few very close friends. You're lucky that you feel so certain about that. Thanks for your comment.
Watching them sleep covered with blankets got me so precious
Thank you for being so kind to animals
sooo cute!!!
What a wonderful story. So very good to know there are such loving people in this world. Sending many blessings your way.
I looove squirrels. I can imagine they must take so much love and dedication though. Great setup in there!
What a kind and caring woman! I agree that animals feel emotions. Love the cute squirrels. All the best!
Awwwwwwww absolutely adorable goofy lil rodent buddies, they remind me of my two gerbils, but the squirrels make even funnier noises lol
They are all so lucky to have each other! I hope their little family is together for a long, long time!
How heartwarming to know there are animal lovers out there.
The love from an animal is the purest. Wild, domestic, it’s just pure joy and beauty. I love this lady. 👏👏👏
Sammy and Barkley are so precious I’m glad they have a good human mom who will love them forever 🥺😍❤️
I think they are very lucky to have a mom like you. They are beautiful, good love and good food will do it every time.
That’s sweet. I love their little hands/paws. So cute.
❤️💜💚
Absolutely DIVINE!!! You are so lucky to have these loving babies! Millions of us are envious. What a fantastic relationship you all have. Thank you so much for being such a good mother to them.
How adorable god bless you for taking good care of them
So much cuteness in one house. I can understand the love they feel for each other and share with their human. What a perfect family.
Bless you a million times! You are a wonderful squirrel Mom. I love the squirrels, birds and chipmunks in my backyard. I feed them daily. Or every time they call me. Lol.
How wonderful you are to be raising them. There was no mention of babies and I'm wondering if you had one of them neutered, or how you've prevented pregnancies? Thank you so much for sharing the love with us.
So precious!
I absolutely love squirrels and loved this story!
Love that you all have each other. You're a great squirrel mama. 🙋♀️💕
I love squirrels! I feed them and they wait for me every morning. Cute little personalities
This is so beautiful. I totally get the bond. Such a lovely lady, and such adorable squirrel family. 💝
I love the love, time and energy you have put into these two! I would say all are fortunate to have each other, all the way around! So cool! Thanks for saving these little lives!
Absolutely Love this 💜
I work at a nursing home and I have earned the trust of One beautiful girl and her babies! She takes food out of my hand and even holds my hand with her tiny squirrel hands. She has never been anything but gentle and she knows the difference between human fingers and food. Very gentle, I mean I was shocked at how gentle she was with me. And she sits with me when she eats her treats. It’s just incredible. I love squirrels.
I love her strong spirit of looking after animals and well done to the editor for the upload. Love this
I love squirrels! There are two of them that hang out around my house that have me so well trained. They yell (chatter) at me to go out and feed them and of course of do it!
So adorable 💕 😍 💓
I know animals feel emotions like us
I didn’t know squirrels made that noise. Thank You 😊❣️
OMG! I so much love listening to happy heartwarming stories like these. And sweetheart you are so right. Every emotion you feel, they feel as well. Us maniac humans still have so much to learn from our 4 legged neighbors on this planet. We pale in comparison to our furry neighbors. Sweetheart you are so amazing. Your heart is open & beautiful. It great selfless acts like these I believe will open those pearly gates that most people subscribe to in the afterlife. Sweetie you are a beautiful being, & never ever let someone tell you or make you feel like YOU ARE NOT!
You’re an amazing woman! 🥰 🐿
Sharing these particular stories is wonderful as there aren’t any squirrels in Australia. It’s great to see they’re rescued when in need and cared for so dutifully - very touching.💗🤍
