Skunks are surprisingly docile. Way more than people realize. I'm sure there are exceptions where one might be a little "trigger happy," but for the most part, you really have to make them feel threatened for them to spray you.
We had an old, blind, and deaf momma skunk that had been coming around since she was a baby, and every night she'd come by for some dinner and pets.
I've even accidentally snuck up on some skunks, and they all either just ran, or took up that defensive posture where their tail is straight up and they're stomping at you warning you to get the hell away. Have still never been sprayed.

yeah that's pretty amazing, majority of "body/brain"scientists (vet, doctors surgeons and neuropsy) would have thought about it but would not have the time.mouse in mazes are kind of our things if you didn't knew :p (i'm a neuropsy). for example it can happend to human to "neglect" half or their body, they are not blind, just neglecting it (kinda similar to that skunk but not exactly), one of the remediation is wearing glasses that tilt your view or other crazyier things that i can't explain well in english. my point is we've got the ideas, it's time and ppl willing to do it like this lovely girl. it is her dedication to do it and all that makes it amazing.

@@maxk5065 there is therapy for people who suffered a stroke where they put a mitten on their functioning arm , forcing them to rely on their disabled arm. This in turn causes the brain to reroute and develope s new healthy neural network. Probably the simplest and most effective treatment.

@@crushingit5128 simplest maybee most efficient is hard to decide but the cost/value is great :p but my favourite is small electromagnet with witch you start charging part of the brain that has been traumatized to make the neurons fire easier, you can also inhibit the opposite part of the brain. it's only at it's start but it's a wonderful tool that i think has a bright future.
but yeah anything that make you use your "wrong" side is usefull, especialy during 3-6month right after trauma human or animal. the faster the more neurons can reconect.
but the ilness i described was hemianopsie laterale homonyme, the miten doesn't work well because it's not a motor problem it's an attentional one, almost like they didn't care about the left side, to the point they only shave half or eat half of the dish.
as for the vets or practicioners, i'm sure they have that kind of knowledge too, you often just need to ask more as they try to stay concise and to the point but they at least can give you pointers (well i hope)

Many people know that skunks can be carry rabies. Other people might have taken him to a nearby vet for euthanasia, and still others may have reported the skunk to the police, since rabies is a concern. Other people may have never noticed the skunk, or thought he was dead, if they did notice him. It’s really easy to judge others for those things we do ourselves.

Motherhood is overrated specially a biolgical child. Society emphasize the need for a woman to have a child or sheis half woman or incompetent. One can be nurturing and have motherly instincts without having a biological child. A woman is not wasted nor her love because she does not have a biolgical child. If a woman wants to have a biological child and able i am for it. I happen to be a woman who chose not have a biological child. If i ever have a child it would only be through adoption. They wouldn't spray over their own den and family unless they felt extremely threatened and in danger, just like bees rarely sting beekeepers. For that matter, your dog, especially if they are a large one and wolflike in appearance, is closely related to animals that have been known to hunt and kill isolated humans in the wild. Yet, quite rightly, we don't worry about having our large dogs watch and play with our small children, just as they protected and played with us as children. Why would your skunk spray if everything was normal? If they were to spray, it would be directed at a threatening outsider, just like a pet dog growling at an intruder.

That's why they think people who try to spread information are lunatics. For caring about animals than humans. It's even more painful when you find out that "professionals" and some vets actually care more about the money than saving animals...experienced it again and then read so many comments of people in different countries also going through things.
Only a few people in this world choose to be kind. Be it to animals or fellow humans. Others will only act when it starts affecting them. You would think that the Pandemic will make people realize that cruelty to animals and the environment are all connected to the mutations of virus, but no. Many do not care.

Well, we are made in the image of God. So at our best you are seeing a glimpse of Him. We were actually put here in part to care for his animals, and they are wired to understand that (hence why they will seek us out for help but not other wild animals). Originally no human or animal ate one another and there was no reason for them to fear us, but then the Fall and then the Flood...however, they reset back to that original trusting state almost too easily because that is TRUE nature. You wouldn't believe the types of animals who have sought my help intentionally and miraculously. Even monarch butterflies with shredded wings who somehow managed to used their last few flaps (that shouldn't have even been possible with the state of their wings) to get to me. Becaude I know how to fix butterfly wings.
