    Great review, so many biased and idiotic reviews on small bikes out there, the Mt03 looks like a great bike for normal people to enjoy the simple pleasure of riding without breaking the law and risking lives. Appreciate your perspective.

    In many countries this bike is considered very heavy bike.
    In my country anything over 250 is forbidden to be owned by regular people. I don’t understand why people are looking for bigger 😅😂
    Tnx for video

    I've been riding a yamaha fz6 for 7years and recently bought a 22 mt03 for commuting to work. I love it so much I haven't bothered putting my 600 on the road this year. I also live in rural England so my riding is always on twisty b roads and the mt03 is just more fun to ride more of the time, its just a fun bike that makes me smile every time I ride.

    Absolutely spot on, at 5’ 6” and weighing about 147 lbs, the mt 03 fits me perfectly and performs extremely well. I also tried the KTM and had the same problem. Well done for highlighting all these factors when choosing a bike, newcomers should find it extremely useful. I’ve thought long and hard about changing my bike, read endless specs and reviews but still can’t find one which is more “relevant” to my needs. It’s that good. Great vlog, best wishes.

    Nice video! I've had my MT-03 since April 2023 and love it. I can't see getting another bike. It's everything I want. I ride winding New England backroads and rarely go over 50 - it's perfect for that. Anyone who says it's underpowered as a 300 has never ridden it. It's super quick and agile. I put a T-Rex Racing 1 inch lowering kit, and it's now even more snappy in the corners. I'm astounded at the build quality Yamaha put in this for such a low cost bike.

      I can't believe I somehow missed this comment. Sorry for the delay. Oh I'm gonna investigate this lowering kit. Now you got me curious.❤️❤️ Ride safe my friend. She is a fun bike on the twisty roads isn't she. 😜

    Thank you for your review. I just got my motorcycle license, and I'm looking for my 1st bike. And I've been looking for a Ninja 400 or a Rebel 500. But, now...I'm interested in this bike.

    I'm tired of people reviewing this bike as not for people who want to do "wheelies", Or; They have a "hard on" & don't know what to do about it ,etc. .... A sensible review of a bike, done under "average" conditions, etc. ... That's what I'm looking for... (Yes!)

    might be a perfect bike because the maintenance wont really kill you unlike those big bikes. good thing a lady rides it i will convince my mom that ill get this bike and im a 5'9" guy lol. i wish they could improve the dash other than black and white i like the dash on ktm having lcd but i dont know which one is more resilient to rain water seeping in the screen.

    Nice bike and thanks for showing. Too many reviews are just demo loaners, like discussing a pair of work boots that they only wore to walk the dog for 20min. Appreciate the real owner's take.

    I agree with what you said that is kinda dumb to call this a "girl bike". In the US it just seems that a lot of riders consider anything less than a 600cc "small" or "slow". To most people, I think 400 is more than enough, specially if you are not planning on pushing the engine to the limit. And the height is just on point for a lot of people. If I am a beginner, I at least want to be able to put my feet in the ground.

    • @KF1
      @KF1 9 місяців тому +1

      It's just a marketing plot so they can sell you the next bigger bike asap. As if to be a "man" you gotta pull 0-60 in under 3.5 seconds. 5 seconds is too slow to get the American gym rat to Starbucks on time.

    I was REALLY debating myself on getting either this or the Rebel 500 as my first bike. I'm shorter than average, and I felt more comfortable on the rebel for the lower seat height. On the MT-03, the only way I could be flat footed while stopped was to literally keep standing. If I tried to sit down, my feet come up. If the seat height was just another inch lower, I'd probably buy this bike.
    Otherwise, I liked everything you said about the MT-03.
    Keep the wind to your back!

      I'm glad you went and tried them out, the rebel is an awesome bike. It was on my list as well, they're sharp looking bikes. So if you decide on the Rebel I think you've made a great choice. There for a minute I almost pulled the trigger on the Rebel. ❤️

    Yeah i think most riders familiar with the MTO3 share your sentiments they arent saying its only for beginners they are saying its a perfect beginner bike and just like most street bikes they all beat the average Car off the line but compared to a 600cc it just cant maneuver in and out of traffic with the quickness a intermediate or expert rider really needs it also cant keep up with 600 or litre bikes in group freeway rides So keep these things in mind this is what most riders are critical of when it comes to 300 400cc etc... Glad it fits your needs but if you ever do group rides with higher cc bikes it just wont cut it. also as a female rider alot of male riders are 200 plus pounds so a 300 isnt really cutting it unless they are just using it to commute.

    • @AvgCurious
      @AvgCurious  10 місяців тому

      Exactly 👍 I know I said relevant to much in this video, but that is the jist of my whole theme. Get the bike that is made to do what you want out of it. It's so important to be honest with yourself in what you're really looking for in your bike, because there's so many awesome options to suit everyone. We've rode with some big bikes and we both kept up with them fine, but they aren't riders that got 100+mph either 😂. I don't think most 300 to 400cc riders are expecting their bikes to be competitive against 600s most definitely not a litre bike..that's just crazy.

    • @1683clifton
      @1683clifton 10 місяців тому +1

      I'm a 200 pound dude and I commute daily as well as most of my commute is 75 plus mph. I can absolutely blast through the gears and push it past the 90 ish zone and if I'm in a group that pulls 180 mph I'm pullin over and getting a sandwich! 6k on the bike and not my first bike either. I have my own MT 25, it's a 250cc version of MT 03 with all specs are the same but engine capacity (where, as the name suggests, MT 25 has 250 cc engine).
    Some countries have MT 25 version (instead of MT 03) for a strange reason. Can anybody guess what reason applied in Indonesia? 😁
