    I upload a new video every Wednesday!
    **********************************
    Hey guys! In this week's video I test a friend's 2006 Yamaha MT-03. It is a 659CC single cylinder beast! The Yamaha MT-03 shares its engine with the Yamaha XT lineup as well as the Yamaha Raptor 660 Quad! You can compare it to a Yamaha MT-07 with a supermoto engine. It was my first time on a big thumper and I absolutely loved it! It feels unlike any other bike I've ever ridden!

    Let me know where you're from and which bike you are riding.
    Feedback would be appreciated!

    I love it so much. I got my MT 03 660 5 months ago and It's so much fun. It's awesome because nobody knows this bike I get asked so frequently. I love the torque and the insane backfires. Just try giving it some gas up to like 4-5k rpm and then give it a quick yank at the throttle after it will backfire soo loud when the exhaust is hot. I love it so much.

    I owned a 2010 mt03 and kept for a solid 10 years. I must say that it was one of the best bikes I had! 10 years with literally no problems AT ALL and run like the first day! Great engine great bike! I Regret for selling it.

    I have one of these - my first bike I bought when I got my A2! :) A lot of fun indeed. One of the few A2 bikes that can handle a passenger, but it's mostly for city and twisty country roads.

    • @180FiftyFive
      @180FiftyFive 4 роки тому +1

      @@devisnasir3902 It's good for short distances - say like 2 hour rideouts on twisty roads (avoid highways), but I suggest go for something else if you're looking for touring. My gf says its comfortable, but it doesn't have wind protection and is not meant for long distances since it's a single cylinder bike. Maybe try a tracer 700? They look cool, have a fun engine from mt07 and can handle two-up and touring

      @@180FiftyFive Hi Christian, I'm getting my A2 license and was looking at a Yamaha mt-03, since you have had one before, how comes you suggest to avoid highways what's wrong with going on highways with this bike?

    • @180FiftyFive
      @180FiftyFive 4 роки тому

      @@MrSarro99 If you are going to spend a lot of time on highway it's better to get a multi-cylinder bike. It's okay to go on highways, I mean if you commute daily on highway speeds better to try a twin instead. Less vibrations plus single cylinder engines are not really made for long distance. I have a Ninja 300 which is perfect for long trips - look also at the R3 or Ninja 400. Going 100km on highway is going to be noisy, and not pleasant if it's raining and windy and a bit chilly

    Enjoyed watching the vid, great job. I also own a mt-03 from 2009 (with a full leovince exhaust) and this bike is crazy fun! Pops, bangs and flames all the time. the bike doesn’t give me the desire for a heavier bike at all, instead of some of my friends who can only think of more powerful bikes.
