PLEASE THUMBS UP!!! The rear shock is adjustable. If you adjust the rear suspension to it's max height it makes a huge difference for taller riders. If YAMMIE & SPITE see this and they haven't already don't so, this is a must! My girlfriend is 5.4, I am 6ft, it's night and day from lowest to highest adjustment. Enjoy your day everyone, RIDE SAFE!
If you're heavy does the extra weight not just bring it back to the same height? Remember static say (weight of bike) rider sag (weight of rider) These all have to be set correctly. It's not really a height adjustment. Unless you go full adjustment with a light rider and affectively lock out the suspension.
Nah it's pretty good, it definitely compensates a lot more. And yeah with the mt03 I wouldn't be worried about "correct" suspension settings other than for comfort, it's really not glamorous enough to affect the ride, trust me I've done 10k miles in all types.of scenarios

I got handguards with the metal bars dropped my bike twice since having them no damages. My old bike broke 3 leavers in the first month genuine OEM levers were over 3 X what pattern ones were hated the quality though. I say prevention is better than letting stuff break

@@shawn2469 I agree ive rode some 300s and I'm not in to them I van see why they are "fun" but I'm looking more into the 650s just cause my back can't handle the lower riding stance on some of these sport bikes for longer rides
@@twowheelefun202 Theyve already given away a MT07 and XSR700, different class anyway. I would say mostly because 600s are less popular these days. Most people who would have bought a 600 5-10 years ago would now be looking at sport nakeds like the street triple or going to a litre bike.
Great video...enjoyed my MT-15 i(155 CC with VVA)..in Thailand...little one cyl that does 12,000 RPM.... it actually looks bigger and higher seat height than the MT-03, think I will leapfrog to the MT-07 .... Thailand riding is awesome! .......watch out for monkeys crossing..... (no I didn't get one yet but it happens). Sometimes we wear boots but flip flops are the normal "riding gear". Scooters equipped with beer holders are the grocery getters!
In Germany your are, as witness, supposed to stop and wait until the police got your name and statement. Can you in the US just continue driving/riding? oO Leaving the scene of an (even minor) accident is a felony here.
Most states don't have laws for witnesses to stay and give a statement, but I usually do. To me, even more so if you have a camera running, to keep people honest.
In USA, witnesses only matter if a serious accident happens. Yammie didn't get hurt or get his vehicle damaged so no requirement for him to stay. Police wouldn't be called for this unless driver is threatening anyways.
@Yammie Noob I've got a set of T-Rex sliders for my MT-03, but I haven't installed them all yet. What's the torque spec for the bolts used to attach the T-Rex frame sliders and clutch/engine cases? (Instructions from T-Rex just say to use the manufacturer's torque spec but don't say what it is!)
It will be in the service manual. If you can't find an MT-03 service manual (for the 321cc, that is, not the old 660cc one), then try an R3 service manual.
So I’ve had my shiny black MT03 for about a month now, and love it. Its super nimble in all maneuvers and no issues getting it up to speed. I’m kind of a small woman (5’5) so the seat height was perfect for me. However my gf (6ft) can also sit comfortably on it so I think it’s more about body type. I’m going to replace the clutch and brake levers but I wanna wait until I break one of them first when that drop happens lol. The only thing I really want to do to this bike, is fix the breaks like Yammie is and give it a better exhaust to sound a bit meaner. It’s a little baby bike lol so the torque isn’t an issue for me.
At the end, you talk about why you picked a specific sprocket. When you do the install, could you talk about how you picked? What specifically were you looking for, what limits or options were you concerned with, etc? As someone who hasn't done this before but like the sound of the end result, it'd be great to understand how to pick a new sprocket. Thanks!

I know this is a year old, but I have recently been looking at the mt03 , the z400, and the ninja and it was great to see the upgrades being installed. I am kinda leaning towards the mt03 , I sat on it and it feels good. It's a shorter bike so my wife might like to take it out as well. Keep up the great content I will have to figure out how to enter to win something. I so want a new bike soon.

Just give yourself time casually riding then hit the freeway, I definitely feels like it lacks power however it's a BEGINNER BIKE! I felt decently planted on the freeway and was surprisingly stable. Too many non-responsive f-b flakes, evidently not really wanting to sell me a somewhat larger displacement bike. It's FUN, and she gets me around. She will get a larger front, and a better rear sprocket, and some degree of protection. Thank goshen my boss made me a loan, else I'd be walking.

I just got rid of my fender and put in new turn front turn signals and integrated tail light. next is clutch and brake levers
