thought id get rid of mine after the first season of riding, but honestly dont see why I would ever need something more powerful, bike is such a blast and looks great and is comfortable enough for me!
Do the R6 throttle tube upgrade. Makes the bike less "beginner friendly" and more fun to ride :). I love mine and I owned a Gixxer 1000 3 years ago which was too much bike for street riding
Great review, I concur with everything said here. I bought mine with the intention of upgrading to a larger bike after about 6 months. I still have it 3 years later. I can’t see the point of upgrading now as it’s so much fun to ride. It’s a very underrated bike and ridden property, it will keep up with bikes twice the size mainly due to it’s cornering ability and the power to weight ratio. The only bike I’d swap it for is the R3.
I am thinking exactly the same. Had mine nearly 3 years. Have toyed with the idea of getting bigger. But for me this bike also does all I need it to do. I think with a bigger bike I’d just be stuck in 2nd & 3rd half the time. It’s fun on the MT03 to rag it a little & use all the gears. Quick enough off the mark. Super light. Looks good. Bigger than it should. Great fuel economy. Cheap Insurence. Keeping mine maybe for another 2 years & will re evaluate then.
I have a cf moto nk 300 and i loove it..I'm a newbie so its perfrct for me and i will never get tired of it or whatever ppl say..so enjoy your Mt03 bro..
I like that it's a twin cylinder. It seems that most bikes of this displacement and higher are thumpers.I'd consider this very strongly and the Versys x300 as well.Great review, thanks.👍
I wish these a2 bikes were cheaper. Or at least had 0% apr offers more. Always surprises me that the biking industry doesn't realise that getting as many people onto these bikes as possible will make the whole market flourish.
Looking to buy mine before the summer is over PowerSports has an 2022 mt-03 for under 4k right not I see you’re in Woodbridge you might see me out sometime in the near future.
@@IronBornRider In Australia they sell for US$5199.00 rideaway. I bought a 2024 all black/graphite/satin finish unit and it's very very well made in Yamaha's Indonesian factory. Extremely impressed. You cannot beat 321cc of two small ultra short skirt forged aluminum pistons combined with a miniscule 44mm stroke and compression ratio of 11:2.1. Great video.

People always think bigger = better but sometimes it’s fun to ride a smaller bike and use the full extent of its capabilities
Falou tudo 👏😎

@@travelinben1966 thank you! 🙏
It's a great commuter bike. It's light and easy to ride. I'm glad I still have it.
Yeah I’d keep one as a commuter. Would be perfect for that
@@IronBornRider My son owned one, then he bought the MT 07.
Both bikes are great! By the way I own the XSR 900.
YAMAHA is a great brand! ❤
They need to bring back the Ice/Storm Fluo colors back.

Under 4K is a steal of a price. Good luck and ride safe! I’ll see you out there sometime
We get so ripped off in the uk, cost £6500. Around $8000
Wow for $8k here there’s a lot of other bikes and opens up our options. Not sure if the mt03 is worth $8k to me

Lose those ghastly lollypop greenish/blue rims and these are nice looking little bikes.

The z400s are pretty cool
Get a z400 or z500!!
Or mt-07!!
I also tested out an xsr700 and really liked it. Didn’t have time to test out the mt07
@@IronBornRiderbasically same bike as xsr, styling is different.
@@Jackal9405 yup
