Jay Weinberg of Slipknot came to Japan for Drum Clinic. The clinic is sponsored by SJC Custom Drum and Vans. We call this clinic tour "Loyal To The Craft" tour. It was the first time inviting Jay Weinberg of Slipknot with LTTC and this is a report of the clinic we had at Tokyo Musicians Institute on Oct 3rd, 2019

I don't know why people gives so much hate and shit to Jay, some fans give him so much hate just because he is Joey's replacement.. that doesn't make sense. He's the best joey replacement. Just take the fact that joey is gone and he's not going to return, Jay is living his dream and he's giving all his life to Slipknot. Joey isn't Jay and Jay isn't Joey. They are really talented and good drummers. I watched so much people say "Jay is the worst drummer", "why they let this idiot play the drums", "he can't play that, that's Joey's song" or "you suck, Joey is and will always be the best". Fuck Jay haters.
PD: Of course I love and miss joey but damn people stop fucking hating on jay, just let the kid alone and live his dream.

i love and miss Joey. But im starting to appreciate this guy. Probably no better replacement for the band than Jay. He plays with passion. How can you hate a guy like that?
not to be a crybaby, or Joey's fanboy (even if i am) but if Jay played every concert, like he plays in this video, there would be no questions at all... yes it is hard, but Joey did this every concert for years, like he was not human at all... no hate to Jay, as a Joey's hardcore fan, i also admit there could be probably no better guy to refill the shoes of a little-giant superhuman Superball

it's like the whole stepmom/dad situation, you grow up with yer "dad/mom" then all of a sudden there's this new person trying to come in & b that role. he's a fantastic drummer but it's hard to get over some things like that sometimes. hopefully he doesn't get as much hate as when he 1st started for Slipknot cause he's doing a great job.

I laugh at people who think that he sucks just because misses some hits but... Everybody makes mistakes lets be honest and a lot of people don't know how strugguling it's playing that hard for more than 1 hour straight
True. He was performing unbelievably good for almost an hour. That was something beyond missing notes or speeding up or speeding down just a little bit. The atmosphere he created was amazing and that is something you can’t feel unless you were there. That experience was priceless.

@The MilkshakeJunkie ik Joey's expulsion let a big hole in the band but i think Jay is doing his best to fill it up again, remember that jay is still kinda new compared to Joey but in my personal opinion, both are great drummers but Joey is a true legend in drums, he's my daily drumming inspiration
He’s a mighty beast, just like Joey. Saw Slipknot a couple years back and energy they put into their shows would wreck most musicians. Amazing show.

I play guitar and this is so good. Jay is a fantastic drummer and he 'gets it'. Explains things really well, even to someone who doesn't play the drums

Oh nice. I saw all the fan cams from this, but I never expected a proper professional release. Also, I had no idea there was a QnA part where he played some extra stuff. Very neat.
Omg this video has instantly become one of my two favorite video's, the other being when Jay and his dad both were on stage together playing big band swing music for a Guitar Center event!!!! And I've always loved his story how he became a Slipknot member---actually his dad was the one who brought him to see them perform when he first met them at age 10, thats cool af or what!!! 🥁🥁🖤🖤🤘🤘💯💯
