Clown's music videos are cool and all, but imagine how perfect it would be if Slipknot dropped a video for "Hive Mind" in a black room exactly like this and were lit exactly like this. The band doesn't need flashy music videos to interpret the lyrics or the mood of a song. By virtue of their masks and their visual presence either on camera or in front of an audience, the members are quite literally the visual externalization of the music without the necessity for an expensive music video. Slipknot shot on high definition cameras kicking ass in a black room like this with sparse, tasteful, and atmospheric lighting is so simple that it's perfect. It's not cliche; it's timeless.
