Jeff and Tom did this live at the Merry Minstrel 4 show. Before they began, Jeff said that in "Poor House" just he and Tom sang. They did the song in one take, on one mike, and they had only done it once since it was recorded. Jeff's singing the harmony. Marvelous!!!!!!
Great record from the supergroup The Travelling Wilburys a friend of mine recommened me to listen to this record. Because of the late George Harrison's slide guitar solo in this song! RIP George Harrison and Roy Orbison - they won't be forgotten.
Always Loved those those guys. Boy is this a great song. Traveling Wilburys are thee best. Always a Petty & Dylan as well. Heck love them all lol 🤭 😊❤❤❤❤😇😇😇
qué banda.. es una cosa de fraternidad, de juntarse para remar un proyecto por gusto y placer, no por imposición... por el gusto de tocar, lisa y llanamente. eso son los travelling wilburys. gran banda entre las grandes!
when i first got the album and heard the song, i mean, the slide just screams george, nobody ever slided like him, and nobody ever will, his son dhani said how natural it came to him every time he played slide, no matter how long he hadn'
Hey what's crazy is that this an alternative version... because the guitar solo and sound is a little different than the version on the released recording..which is a really hot take...
I love this, you can hear the instruments more. this must be a different version, because the official release did not have a harmonica, and the guitar solo is different.
Once the idea of a full, collaborative album was in front of us, George took over. The five frontmen (Harrison, Lynne, Petty, Dylan, and Orbison) decided not to use their own names. George and Jeff had been calling studio equipment (limiters, equalizers) “wilburys.” So first they named their fivesome The Trembling Wilburys. Jeff suggested “Traveling” instead. Everyone agreed.
Ich liebe Roy er ist nicht allerschönste aber er hatte schon Charakter und kann super singen er ist der Mann der Mann der alles kann ich liebe Roy Familie ist alles
+Mark Bratton That's him, Mark... and the others on Volume 3: Spike Wilbury - George Harrison; Clayton Wilbury - Jeff Lynne; Muddy Wilbury - Tom Petty; Boo Wilbury - Bob Dylan.
Hi there! I'm a new producer/artist trying to get some exposure for some of my tracks. I'd love to let you use the music for free in one of your videos. I'm just looking to get my name out there. Let me know if you have any interest, you can check out the songs on my channel. If you like it I can send over the mp3. Thank you!

It is a shame they couldn’t have done more. The deaths were so unfortunate.
Where did you got this version from? It's different from the original. I think I like it best with the harmonica.
esta no era cuando trence hill subio a su harley a una chica? en alguna de sus peliculas, creo que era policia.

@IndiaSummerxxx I NOTICED THAT TOO...
Ah ha. My theme song. The story of my life.
fun songs
I guess it's the demo version from the special edition album that came out a few years ago.
They should have cleaned and mastered this and just gone with it. It has a great raw sound. And the lead guitar is just vicious.
recommended by stepdad
This sounds like it's being played through a tinny radio.
Underwater.
