Good Lord! I just cried my eyes out listening to this. It's like George, Bob, Jeff and Tom got together and said, "let's see how high we can push him." And then...........Roy started singing. Full stop, lights out, NO ONE has ever sung the way he did. God I miss music like this.

Roy Kelton Orbison (April 23, 1936 - December 6, 1988) was an American singer, songwriter, and musician known for his impassioned singing style, complex song structures, and dark, emotional ballads. His music was described by critics as operatic, earning him the nicknames "the Caruso of Rock" and "the Big O".

The whole story of how these Unbelievable musicians were able to come together is one of the All Time Great Stories of Rock and Roll.. It could Easily have Never Happened, and against all odds, it probably Shouldn't have happened, if for no other reason than because of all the legal issues involved.. And yet sometimes Mere Men are able to Move Mountains, and now the Whole World is a better place because of the Magic that came from this Incredible Collaboration.. It seems to have been their Love and Respect for one another, and especially the level of Admiration for Roy, that was the underlying Secret for the Success of this project.. Somehow, Someway, this was So Much More than just a Happy Accident ! There has never been another Band like This One.. Thank you Brothers... Lary

George Harrison said that it was very special to have him in the group. though out his long and illustrious career filled with hardships. he never had an ego nor was arrogant in any way. he was simply the best singer there ever was. and he was such a great addition to The Traveling Wilbury's. it's so sad that he died on December 6th 1988 just a little ways into the first album. he was definitely an amazing person he is definitely missed. and George Harrison and Tom Petty are definitely missed also.

I was lucky enough to see him live In 1975 over here in the UK with a broken ankle at the ABC in Chester, he will always be a voice that can’t be forgotten even when he joined the Travelling Wilburys, he had an astounding voice!👏😂😘🇬🇧

Roy Orbison died 8 months later on December 6, 1988. Heart attack at the young age of 52. My wife and I had been together about 8 months. That evening, we were listening to the radio and the DJ announced that Roy had passed away and then put on 'Only the Lonely '. We turned it up and slow danced with a tear running down both our faces. Now she's gone too. Miss y'all Victoria & Roy... rest in peace up there in Rock and Roll heaven

Today, this is my theme song!
I lived all alone, in the mountains of Montana after my wife left me because I was Perm. Disabled & no longer making a six-figure income but, collecting Social Security & spent 20 hours a day in bed.
I may have spoken to another human-being, a dozen words, once a month (for 15 years).
Last week my neighbor in Montana packed a Uhaul & drove me to Michigan to live with my Sister & Her family.
    I'M NOT ALONE ANYMORE!
You can't imagine the memories that keep flowing, from little 6-year-old Ricky until today.
I don't think I have shut-up in over a week! It's just so nice to have somebody to talk to.
Thank You Roy, Bob, Tom, Jeff & George, I'M NOT ALONE ANYMORE!
BTW, a month ago (even 15-years ago) my theme song was Pink Floyd - Comfortably Numb
I am hoping Love & Laughter will replace the Morphine & Oxycontine.

You always said that Id be back again
That I'd come running to you in the end
I thought that you were on your own
And now I find you're not alone
(chorus) I'll see you through the rain
    Through the heartache and pain
    It hurts like never before
    You're not alone any more
You always said that I would know someday
Just how it feels when your love walks away
I let you down I let you go
I lost you, how was I to know
I never knew I could feel this way
I never could see past yesterday
You feel that everything is gone
I feel it too, you're not alone

    Traveling Wilbury’s LOVELY
As young teener I didn’t like Roy’s voice; it was more the somewhat older generation that liked his singing! Sure later I got caught by Roy’s unique voice🌺. Naturally Beautiful❣️He, Tom and George, there Never gone🌺🎶
    Still …. miss them Wilburys...
    LYRICS:
    NOT ALONE ANYMORE
    [Verse 1: Roy Orbison]
You always said that I'd be back again
That I'd come running to you in the end
I thought that you were on your own
And now I find you're not alone
    [Chorus]
(Not alone) I'll see you through the rain
(Not alone) Through the heartache and pain
(Not alone) It hurts like never before
    You're not alone anymore
    [Verse 2: Roy Orbison]
You always said that I would know someday
Just how it feels when your love walks away
I let you down, I let you go
I lost you how was I to know?
    [Chorus]
(Not alone) I'll see you through the rain
(Not alone) Through the heartache and pain
(Not alone) It hurts like never before
    You're not alone anymore
    [Verse 3: Roy Orbison]
I never knew I could feel this way
I never could see past yesterday
You feel that everything is gone
I feel it too, you're not alone
    [Chorus]
(Not alone) I'll see you through the rain
(Not alone) Every heartache and pain
(Not alone) It hurts like never before
    [Outro]
You're not alone, you're not alone
    You're not alone anymore
    Anymore
    Anymore
