Excellent job! I started getting my parts through t-bolt USA and the owner operator Vincent is a pleasure to do business with what I bought was a work engine? I couldn't be more happy they professionally Build It Up and test ran it under load gave it the best jetting tuned the engine adjusting my clutch my new clutch I bought a heavy duty clutch new oil piston had carburetor all I had to do was put two bolts in rocket chain fuel. They even hooked up all the ignition system and left it together all the wiring was ready to go even the kill switch good luck with your projects you doing great and pit bikes are a lot of fun.
Quick question, I just picked up a SSR 70 (same thing). When you checked the oil level did you thread the dipstick all the way in or just push it in till the threads touched?
Question you did all that work installing the BBR kit but I don't think I saw you lap the valves in at any point. Thats one thing I would have done for sure then you would have the best compression possible. Just curious
I neglected to record any of that but it was done…trying to think back why since this was a year and a half ago, but it was probably to keep the time down on the video. Good observation!
To be honest, I wouldn’t feel comfortable doing work on a motor that I wouldn’t be able to test after and make sure it runs good for you. Not having a frame to put it in and start up and tune makes it hard for me to know I’m giving you back a good reliable runner.
there’s something wrong with ur channel i noticed a few days ago no i can search ur channel name and not find it period no matter how far i scroll the way i’ve been getting to it is searching “xr400 walk around “
@@Garage2Trail i search your exact channel name and never find anything other then mountain bike videos it might show up for you because it’s ur own channel, im not sure it’s just weird that i always miss out on new vids even with the bell on
FYI. You can use a hose clamp to compress the rings. The cylinder will push it down to where the clamp falls on the rod. Then just unthread and remove the clamp. Keeps from breaking any rings.
The 88cc kit will help some but even still it would have a hard time keeping up with that 110 I’d think. It’s really not that hard. Just find a shop manual and take your time.
@@s2000pill it gained quite a bit over stock. It will pull me up a fairly steep hill in 3rd and I weigh 180lbs but I didn’t try from a dead stop. It wouldn’t have any issue with a kid I’m sure
Great very thorough top end rebuild 👍 sounds as sweet as a nut and pulling well for a wee 80cc .Great job .
thanks for the support! extremely satisfying to tear it down, put it back together and have it run good when its all said and done.
What a difference sounds sweet 👍
Thank you!
Turned out awesome ! I will one day be doing this to my daughters crf70
Awesome! I recommend the BBR 88cc kit for sure. Made things easy. Just remember you’ll have to re-jet the carb to richen it up.
@@Garage2Trail I’ll sure do that thanks
@ 34:52 ...You can see the 49cc stamp. Does that come on the 88cc kit?
The BBR jug has 49cm3 stamped on it.

Thank you! That’s pretty cool you can get a fully tuned engine right out of the box ready to go!

Hello, Just stand the bike upright and set the dipstick in. Don’t thread in.
Helped my rebuild thanks
Awesome! Glad it helped out 👍

Thanks for the tip Brian! I’ll have to remember that for next time.
just got a 2004 xr70 for my son and he can't keep up with his friend's crf110, the timing not and tdc looks intimitating.
