    Congrats!! 🎉 I very very rarely subscribe to anything. I have tons of vids saved and organized however, I can easily unsave half of what ive got as reference points cause your videos are night and day different. Meaning The way you approach each session as if you’re a professional teacher, teaching big picture stuff , like what your gial of the video is and why and how you continue breaking down each step, and when needed reveiwing and throwing in techniques. Also the detaik left in your comments.mot just the part order info but wven down to your cleaning rags! Doesnt hurt that Ive used and will again use TBolt for parts, as well as info. Between the both of you just about everythings covered.
    Thanks man, keep em comin!

    Thank you Brian I’m consideringthis for my build hustle up with the assembly because I can’t wait to see it

      Hey Seth!!! It usually takes me about 2 weeks to get a video done. The assembly video is going to be just a bit harder than average, but I will for sure hustle!!

    What is the actual difference between a high flow oil pump and a regular one? Other then drilling out the hole the pumps all look the same on the outside anyway. I've looked at buying one but they all have 24 teeth on them just like my stock oil pump. Is it the size of the gear inside of the pump? Also the oil passage hole on my Piranha 140 was already at 2mm so am I good to just leave it there or do the 140's go bigger than 2mm?

      Considering TBolt hasn't responded and I've already taken my oil pump apart I'm gonna guess that it's mostly a gimmick and the only thing that matters is the spigot hole size where the oil comes.out. otherwise their pumps labeled high flow are absolutely no different.

      Definitely the drilling helps the most BUT bigger passages and lighter materials of the high volume oil pump helps too.

      Funny, I've tried to find out what exactly is different from the stock pump compared to the tbparts hv pump with no luck. You're prob right. The drilled out passage is needed and I bet they figured they could profit off selling a pump. If there is a difference I'd like to know.

    Hi. Am I going to have to drill the oil passage like this on a pirahna 140? I’m installing the hv oil pump from t bolt and a big bore kit.

      Hey Justin. I’m not familiar with applying this procedure on a Piranha motor. Try reaching out to TBOLTUSA for guidance.

    is this the same as atc 70 as well?

      @brian.d.mobley  3 роки тому +1

      Hey Branden! Yes. Same EXACT motor that I’m working on in the video. Let me know if the video helps you. BTW, my next video will be engine assembly. So if you are rebuilding your motor, you won’t want to miss that one. I’m putting in a stroked kit so my 70 will be a 108.

    Great vids. Doing the 88 on a xr70 for class project. I drilled all the way to the passage that you plug with the paper. Does this mean the cam won't get enough oil? Did I completely ruin the engine?

    • @brian.d.mobley
      @brian.d.mobley  2 роки тому

      Hey Chris. I’m not sure I understand. If you drilled the oil passage, you should allow enough oil flow to fully utilize the capacity of the high volume oil pump.

    • @ceeraa2675
      @ceeraa2675 2 роки тому +1

      The hole that is supposed to be opened to 2mm instead of just drilling the 3/8 thickness went all the way to that opening that you plug with the white paper and clear tape. I'm wondering will there not be pressure to push oil up to the cam shaft.

      @@brian.d.mobley I know this is a year old, but basically he's saying he drilled so far, that he is hitting the output section of the oil pump galley. So he made a hole between the output of the oil galley and the galley that feeds the clutch area. I'd assume you could get away with JB weld if done carefully, but it's been a year and he's likely not in that class anymore :)
