I found a 1972 Sportsman made here in Colorado for $50 on Craigslist a couple years ago. I had a blast learning about small engines and rebuilt the bike. It was great fun. Enjoy your new Coleman!
I took your idea and ran with it. I picked up a free lawn mower seat from the local small engine repair shop. I bought two of those hinge & spring kits, a little cheaper on ebay. With two hinges on the front, there is no swing left & right. The seat sits back further and a board on the rear rack was added for the spring to land on. So much more comfortable now, and I'm taking it to my church campout this weekend. Thanks for the great idea!
Now order a front end from a coleman for a CT 200U-EX and you will have front suspension as well. I did that for mine about 3 years ago. It cost about $250 for the front fork set up, then I had to buy taller handlebars because the frame is a little bit different and the stock ones were too short that came with the front end. It is a little higher in the front now, and has a little bit more ground Clearance.I'm gonna put a Spring seat on it now, because I'm 60 years old and it's a little hard on my butt and spine not having rear suspension. That's a great idea what you did on the back of that, I have just recently been looking at those Spring seat kits! I also have an EX model that I bought about 3 years ago.I just put a torque converter kit on it over the weekend. My Ct 200 U has a Tillotson 10 horse racing engine, a torque converter on it, it goes about 55,and under 6 mile an hour if I crack the throttle it will stand right up on the back tire, very fun to ride! I did all this to it about 3 years ago.

CT200U EX. it is made exclusivelyfor them. it has front fork suspension. fake gas tank for storage. smaller seat. all camo. and a headlight. it's awesome!! I'm buying another on credit so my boys won't have to share. I want use your harley hardtail idea on these to make it complete. super awesome idea Linda!!!! sorry so long winded lol
Well I did it on my electric minibike. It was pretty easy, but time consuming, the kit I received didn't come with any hardware. Now I need to figure out how to get longer handle bars is the only problem.

I’m happy with my mini bike the way it is I wouldn’t try messing with the governor if you want to you can but I wouldn’t try messing with it just in case, or try giving it more speed which will wear the engine out more quickly which I rather having it last longer than only gaining a few mph and wearing it out more, ALSO keep up with the maintenance schedule and use the RECOMENDED oil. been trying to figure how to make a seat. the marshmallow filled stock is horrible. was going to put better foam in but now I will do some thing similar with wider better suspension. thought about using a good bike seat. I can weld up any thing. any way thanks. only vid like this on u tube
