@@monte0907 there are youtube videos that can better explain it than me, essentially without removing the govenor you can hit around 5000rpm versus the 5800 with gov removal you just zip tie the little spring under the gas tank that sets the gov.
These Coleman minibikes remind me of the old school mini bike my dad got me when I was 9. It was a no-name brand frame with a 3HP Briggs & Stratton engine. My entire family beat the living PISS out of that bike and never let us down once. Wouldn't mind getting one of these CT200Us. Where exactly do you ride? That terrain looks awesome. I have a YZ250X with a SmartCarb and a Scotts stabilizer. Always looking for new places to ride.
I’ve had one for over three years just a couple months ago the clutch started slipping so I put a torque converter on her. Does 42 miles an hour and will absolutely go anywhere u want to go. Someday I might put 21 inch tires instead of the stock 19s. Everything is so simple it’s like everyone should have one as their first bike
I suggest to make that bike more comfortable you add front suspension forks and possibly a springer seat, and if you want it to be more fuel efficient I would suggest a stage 1 kit, it allows the bike to breathe better, which makes it have better fuel efficiency. If you want the bike to be better on the trails, or even wheely, you could 212 swap it with a predator or a tilitson, with a stage 1 kit and a torque converter, and if you don't want to swap out from the 196 that is on there, I still suggest the stage 1 kit and the torque converter Edit: I would at least suggest you bypass or remove the governor, you will see a gain in a few mph
@speedymuffin1759 yes, there is a stop screw that you can remove. It doesn't do much because the governor still kicks in. I recently got one of these Colemans and bypassed the governor. I however will be doing everything else I suggested to it too.
I used to have a Coleman ct200u, I rode it mostly on the street and it was a lot of fun! I recently bought a b200r and I really like this one, I took it to a trail here in Oklahoma and it’s rough on a broke in trail😂 I have even scraped the bottom
Mine does awesome it would easily take an adult up a slight hill, doesent steer very quickly, on sharp turns you may need to drag the bike a little, and there’s no suspension which can hurt your back, even for a 14 year old like me.
Sweet! Is this bike pretty quiet? I am considering getting one for breaking in my mountain bike trails. Is it easy to spin the tire? Thanks and congrats on your 1k subs! I should be getting there pretty soon.
This minibike cannot handle super sticky mud. Was out this past weekend on mine and went thru a construction site. Mud was deep & stuck like glue, blew the clutch trying to get out. Will be upgrading to a torque converter and a 60 tooth rear sprocket soon.
I just bought a used Coleman mini bike ct200u a - May 2018 Model, Does anybody know if it should have JUST a single chain set up?? that's what this one has I bought " Single Chain, it chatters constantly when nailing the gas, so I pull the clutch like I see on youtube to grease it up, stills does it, my sons were looking at it tonight and said the chain looks like its doing something weird on the clutch. I'll get into it some tomorrow. HELP!!! :P
The bike in the video looks stock. The tires are the suspension and need carefully inflated. Too much air and it's very harsh, too little air and it gets too bouncy. Coleman sells a pretty nice front suspension kit for the 200U but it's a bit pricy with shipping. I have two of these bikes close to 8 years now. Pretty bad ass bikes after engine mods, torque converter and better gearing. I'm just north of 60 years old and can still handle moderately rough terrain on them. One of my bikes has the suspension kit. It helps. Coleman's top line 200 model has front and rear suspension with disc brakes. May be a better choice than these 200U's.
I bought one for my 11 year old. Been nothing but trouble. Chain problems from day one. Can't let him get to far from the house because more than once he has had to push it home. The warranty sucks. Got it from tractor supply. Throttle cable is broken now. 2nd time. Order is online. Should get any day now. What next?
Tractor Supply and Walmart. You can order them on the website or bikes similar to them. I like that one with the headlight that Tractor Supply has, but it's like 700 or 800 bucks. I'd like to find a used bike for around $200.
If you remove the governor and throttle stop (easy) it goes 30 stock which is plenty fast when your offroad and so close to the ground. Gives you confidence being so close to the ground you dont worry about wrecking offroad
