    Rabbit Irony!
    I can go out for a walk, thru some meadows and some small woods, LOTS of snow, lots of area where in past, TONS of rabbit: This year, I have rabbit living under my front porch and back porch! Gonna be fun times for my gardens come spring.

    This year I've seen lots of rabbit sign in my area hear in New Brunswick haven't been sharing them fir years ever since starting raising and breading my own... thanks for sharing there eh!

    Nice to see you Greg. To add to what you said, in almost all cases predators have little influence on prey populations. Look how great the Yellowstone ecosystem is doing since wolf reintroduction. I'm gonna take a crack at chiltepins this year !

    When out in the woods I think about your rabbit videos , this year other than a couple times I have only seen a rabbit track then. Not a big rabbit count for sure!

    Snow shoe hare cycle is probably the most famous predator prey cycle in ecology. As you go further south the oscillations are weaker out because the food webs get a bit more complicated, which buffers things a bit. Where I live we have hares AND cottontails that are preyed on by owls, foxes, fishers, coyotes, but no lynx and we don't have extreme crashes or explosions.

    I haven't seen any rabbits, or any other wildlife for the last couple years. I don't know what has happened to all of the wild creatures I have always seen an abundance of wildlife on my property.
    Has anyone else been noticing that. I wonder if climate change is to blame.
