The Percy Jackson Movie is Disrespectful to Fans

- Disney’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians is coming out soon. And to prepare for that show, I decided to take a look back at the adaptation that failed to get anything right.
It's been ages since I last saw this disappointment disguised as a movie and I haven't thought about Percy Jackson in a very long time.

Okay you really got me in the first 20 seconds. I'm like dayum my man got the behind the scene gossip? how the fck....
Sounds like this is one the major examples of studios not doing their research and making unnecessary changes to the adaptation. The other examples that I can think of are the Bayverse Transformers, Netflix/2018 She-Ra, and the live action remake of Disney’s classic animated movies.
It's quite surprising how studios can attempt to adapt something and not give it the respect it deserves

Wow i did not remember this movie having that many big names in the supporting cast
There definitely were more than I was expecting
I had no idea Pierce Brosnan was in the movie. I never saw this film. And after watching the new Disney plus series trailer I really have no interest. I’m sure the books are great like you said !
I was surprised to see him in the movie when I rewatched it recently and that's fair lol. I'm only excited for the upcoming series since I was a fan of the original books way back then
I actually kinda liked this movie the first time I watched it
This movie was more enjoyable than the beige disney series
