Chris Stuckmann reviews Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone, starring Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint, Emma Watson, Richard Harris, Maggie Smith, Robbie Coltrane, John Hurt. Directed by Chris Columbus. - Розваги
That moment when Harry didn't cast a single spell in this entire movie.
Yeah
Didn't he cast Wingardium Leviosa with the bathroom troll? Or did someone else do that? Haven't seen the movie in a while.
When he was trying out wands in the shop he casted some spells
it's leviosa not leviosar.
jokes On you99 for his invisibility cloak he just held a lantern, also he just waved a wand he didn't say anything, hence cast a spell
I like how half the comments are of people saying it's the philosopher's stone, when he addresses it 10 seconds in
British people they don't listen very well.
There is nothing to address. You either refer to is as Philosopher's Stone and mention nothing more or you've done it wrong.
+NDfor SPDadsdas "Done it wrong" The movies also called Sorceror's Stone you idiot :/
That's where you are false.
Well, it's called "Harry Potter und der Stein der Weisen" where I am from so... ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
Anyone else pissed when you turned eleven and didnt get a Hogwarts invitation?
Haha Yep
me lol
I am 12 and when my sister was 11 I pranked her and wrote her a letter!
Yeah lol
I was so disappointed
1 and 2 made me feel like a child, discovering the wonders of the magical world. 3-7 got dark.
Oh, did it ever.
3 wasn’t too crazy until the werewolf came out and the time travel prolly had Harry’s mind fucked lmao, but yeah the rest wow
Thank you for reviewing one of my favorite franchises ever, Chris. This is gonna be good.
Ayyy love u
The moment when youtuber you like, likes a youtuber you like
HoodoHoodlum! Hey buddie!
When ybbod died I spongecried.avi
Hey! Didn't expect to see you here!
American kid: 'Mommy, what's a philosopher?'
American mother: 'Umm...a sorcerer.'
We all know that Nietzsche was the greatest sorcerer of the 19th century.
Particularly due to his spellbook Beyond Good And Evil. There was some hardcore Dark Magic in that one.
+WheresWallace4883 No, Albums Dumbledore is the greatest sorcerer in the world!
DrasticSkuba yeah!
In America a Philosopher isn't someone who practices magic, it's a deep thinker who considers world views. When a word has multiple uses the common use in one place is not necessarily the same in the other. The name of all of the book were changed depending on the country yet people are always obsessed with the American title. Or simply because the word Philosopher has a different meaning in the US. Because you know words means different things in different places. Maybe you don't know, maybe self absorbed heads explode when they contemplate that everything isn't the same everywhere they don't live.
Still mad about them not including Peeves
Eh. True, but at least we didn't lose anything.
peeves was a dich tho
I just noticed that lmao, but I think the bloody baron was on screen for a second
Deleted scene.
Peeves was in the Merlin series. Fun fact: Ron’s dad voices him!
I love the fact that in every other country around the world it was called "The Philosophers Stone" because the studio was worried the US wouldn't know what a Philosopher was. lol
It goes back to the publisher of the book in the US actually. The film studio just copied the same name in the same areas.
except that's not why they did it.
I remember the news reports from that time and you can look it up online.
where i'm from, it's called the stone of wisdom ^____^
It's not that it's that in the English language philosopher means a thinker of sorts. But in the UK English a philosopher means a wizard.
unpopular opinion: my favorite HP movie was Chamber of Secrets
Same, no idea why is so unpopular though
same dude
thats an unpopular opinion? i always thought it was the best one out of the franchise
Thats my favorite too! Everyone's favorite is the third, but to me it's a confusing mess and this is coming from a potterhead
I like that one, but I like the third one a bit more.
No one is mentioning that this was uploaded on Harry's birthday.

Every generation has that one magical movie, that defines their childhood:
70s - Star Wars
80s - Back to the Future
90s - Jurassic Park
00s - Harry Potter and the Philospher's Stone
Arguably the first BTTF is a better standalone than the others. IM only talking about the standalone movies here
And for the 2010s the MCU.
Harry Potter is the best
True
and the 60s has James Bond.
I feel like Chris Columbus doesn't get enough love. He really establish the early two movies in the franchise pretty well. You get so immersed into this magical world of Harry Potter.
Coincidently this review came out on J. K. Rowling's birthday.
It wasn't an accident.
I don't exactly mind the explaining in the first film. I actually like it. the first feels most magical to me. I don't mind it because its of coarse the one that introduces you to the wizarding world that is harry potter. it tells you and shows you of a huge portion of the magical things that lye in that world
also. the sorcerer's stone is actually mentioned early in the movie. it just isn't called the sorcerer's stone. if you don't recall Hagrid giving it to the goblin in the bank and mentioning it
Exactly what's so great about the first film is all the detail in the world. Watch the other Potter films and tell me if the amazing detail follows, it doesn't it starts to lack which is fine because we already know what's there at that point. The first movie is about Hogwarts itself and that's what I love about it it's a great trip in a new and exciting world that I long to be real.
Yeah, since The Prisioner of Azkaban the movies get more and more muggle...i love the magic that you can feel in the first two movies 😄

The scene where Draco ends up getting detention too is so satisfying
"I must've misheard you. The four of you have detention?"
"You didn't mishear me"
Every single Harry Potter movie is at least an A imo
Living up to your username, I see!
Eh, Deathly Hallows part 1 was pretty dull. Half the movie is Harry and Hermione in a tent or walking in the woods. The ending was good but the rest was boring
Half of the book was them just being in the tent or the woods IRC.
mustarastas88 no, not really. Since it was one book split into two movies. That would equate to a quarter of the book.
And it's been a while since I read Deathly Hallows but I don't remember being bored by it at all. The movie, however is a different story. I would probably give that movie a C. I can't see how it justifies an A like op implied
+Robert Sergio Not even a quarter of the book. I went back and reread it recently, and the camping bit is only about three chapters, in a book with 36 chapters plus an epilogue. It's kind of amazing to me how many people remember it being longer.
Lets start an argument. Prisoner of Azkaban was the best
I agree. Argument over. Go home people.
The best is Goblet of Fire!
the 3rd or 4th one... hmmm..... yep, the 3rd is the best.
Agreed.
Goblet of Fire and The Half Blood Prince are the best ones.
Can Chris talk about a film without somehow linking it back to when he was a kid?
nope
Literally looked through the comments for this one only. Never fails to show up.
+Noah Nobbe *reviews 50 shades of grey "bdsm was a big part of my childhood so naturally I was excited for this film"
or linking it back to star wars
Well I don't think his review of Neon Demon has anything to do with his childhood.
RIP Alan Rickman, gone but not forgotten
I remember being so disappointed when I turned 11 and didn’t receive a letter.
Thank *GOD!* 😂
can't wait for the prisoner of Azkaban review
Best movie in the franchise, in my opinion.
+Henrik Madsen No doubt. By far.
+Henrik Madsen Yup. I find it funny how the best one is the one WITHOUT Voldermort
I hope he'll mention the atrocious pacing of PoA.
And goblet of fire.
I wonder if he ever watched avatar the last Airbender... Cus that show was my life
I think he did.
I don't think so. I think remember him saying something about it in his review. May have been Jeremy Jahns though, it's been a while since I saw the video.
he has
not the movie, the show
+Dorthy Savage ah, no. He should.
"Mr Potter.. Our.. New.. Celebrity.."
Snape is the best
Still my favorite Harry Potter movie. Every time I watch it, it takes me back to being a little kid. Playing, talking and watching this over and over again. My nana took me to Blockbuster when it came out and bought me the DVD and bought me the first four books. This movie is so nostalgic for me.
Has anyone mentioned that it's actually called Philosopher's Stone yet?
yes Chris himself did.
lol
You are watching a movie reviewer who lives in the US. It is called Sorcerer's Stone. In the US, where he lives.... the guy in the video you are watching.
in america its the sorcerers stone. and chris is american . so... the scorcerers stone
+Matt Sobczak its originally philosopher. but j.k rowling changed it to sorcerer in some countries because children don't know what a philosopher is
Is it weird that my favourite of the series is Chamber Of Secrets?
Not at all. That movie is a near perfect adaptation (the vast majority of things that were cut SHOULD'VE been cut) of the book which is a very intriguing mystery story that really highlights the pure danger of the wizarding world. It's a damn good movie and book and it's certainly up there.
Thank you so much! It's great to finally meet other who think chamber of secrets is underrated.
Not at all! The ending scene is a bit cheesy and goes on forever, but otherwise it's great. We're introduced to Lucius Malfoy, learn a lot about the school's past and the dark undertones in the Wizarding World as well as Vold...I mean, You-know-Who. Also, I still find the basilisk terrifying to this day!
No. HE KILLED A BASILISK AT AGE 12! You can't top that. And it sets up Voldemort's power. The thing he was able and eager to do at 16 years old. How dark and powerful he was. It's great.
Either that, the first or the third movie. After that I thought it derailed way too much as far as the films go. Maybe I just grew up - but the books kept my interest far longer than the movies did. I didn't tire of the books until I actually got some sense for literature & realized JK Rowling is an absolutely awful author, which was about the time the last one came out.
literally just gave them a watch for the first time ever & I can't believe I went 20 years of my life without giving in to the well deserved hype
I've spent the weekend re-watching the HP series, so I'm thrilled you're doing these Chris!
every time he said Voldemort a voice in my head screamed "DON'T SAY HIS NAME"
Fear of a name increases fear of the thing itself
No asked your opinion, you filthy little mudblood!
Eat slugs!
ummm... i hate that you-know-who thing, i prefer the name directly
+Birdman Then say it!
YES he is reviewing Harry Potter!!
wow! really!!?? I didn't know that! thanks!
Stud03Muffin wow!! What a badass you are must be good to be a gangsta!!
+Umais Siraj great bait mate
Stud03Muffin wow!! That bait clearly didn't work then!! You really are a Gangsta!! Cool!
+Umais Siraj lolz mad
Omfg this was the thing that popped up on my UA-cam page today! Couldn't have clicked play fast enough! Been waiting for you to review these films for ages! Thank you!
Prisoner of Azkaban is a masterpiece...nuff said!!!
I actually like this franchise more than Star Wars
T3 DDD woah dude
me too
Yes! I always liked the harry potter movies more, the star wars movies are pretty shitty. Most people are drunk on nostalgia and cant see how dumb they are.
LOTR>>> STARWARS or HP anyday!! but all three are great franchises!! can't deny that
Umais Siraj I have watched LOTR and read a part of the book and I found them to be rather dull/boring.
I still can't believe Seahawks didn't run the ball smh
HAHAHAH
Pats for life!!!
Fuck the Seahawks.
I can't believe KD went to the Warriors
Fuck off, don't remind me
Chris congrates on over 700K you deserve it soooooo much and your the best at what you do on UA-cam! Keep the good work up! :)
I really enjoy these reviews of past movies leading up to a new release that Chris does!!
Lol why tf are people correcting chris on the title when he addressed it in the video???
They probably didn't watch the video...
Because it's not our fault America doesn't know what Philosopher means.
+David “Dsr478” Robert I've seen that same comment so man times. Your so original
It's not chris' fault that people didn't listen to him address the title differences
David Robert lol it is what it is man. i grew up with sorcerer. doesnt mean ima bash people who know it as philosipher
I loved the first two movies because of Dumbledore and how well him and Harry seem to respect each other, just like the books. When the original actor died, and he was replaced, it wasn't the same. I agree that pacing is a problem, but that's an issue in just about all 8 movies. Another problem is with the whole Ron and Hermione know it all stuff. That part is really sposed to start the tension between the two of them. They argue throughout the book series. The problem is, all that happened was that she was called a know it all. That's really the only reason she gets mad, but the book has more to that.
The original Dumbledore was still alive when the third and fourth movie were made, he just didn't want to be in them because of health issues. He died after the fourth movie was made.
+S&S Pictures You are actually very wrong. He died in 2002, the year that chamber of secrets came out. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Richard_Harris
The original Dumbledore is too campy.. I prefer the later
I disagree, I personally prefer the Dumbledore from HP3+. He comes across as an older, but very powerful and wise person, the first Dumbledore felt a bit too old.
I thought the same growing up. Then, once we learned more about the character in later entries, I think the second actor fit the character better.
I'm stoked for your Harry Potter review series! You are the best movie reviewer on UA-cam in my opinion!
Firstly, great review as always! I never really noticed the film dragging in the second act or the constant set ups for other films though! But I guess that's because it's a film I have watched my whole life and enjoyed. I have to agree that the score and the acting were great! You forgot to mention was Richard Harris as Dumbledore! I thought he was perfect, it's shame what happened to him. I hope you talk about him in the next film review as it is the last he appears in!
Anyway, I have read a couple of comments saying that it's called the Philosopher's Stone or the Sorcerer's Stone. When J.K Rowling wrote the book she named it the Philosopher's Stoner! Her publishing company, Scholastic, asked her if it would be alright to name if Sorcerer's Stone in the US as they were worried that people in the US would not understand the title and not buy the book. Although J.K Rowling accepted this change, mainly because she was told it would sell better with this title, she has said on plenty of occasions that she regretted allowing them to make that change for the US!
In summary, J.K Rowling who wrote the book named it Philosopher's Stone, however she allowed the name to be changed for the US to sell more. So essentially it is actually called Philosopher's Stone!
Also I have read some comments saying that Sorcerer is better and makes more sense because the film is about magic and not philosophy. It's called the Philosopher's Stone, because the Stone is the Philosopher's Stone! That is what it's called, this isn't something J.K Rowling made up! The Philosopher's Stone is a legendary alchemical substance capable of many wonders! I mean it's not real, but that is what the stone is called. The title of the Book and film isn't referring to the magical world, but the Stone! There is no such thing as as Sorcerer's Stone, but there is a Philosopher's Stone to which the title has been named after!
Just thought I would clear it up and put it out there!
Great review as always though, can't wait for Chamber of Secrets!
I gotta rewatch all the Harry Potter films!
That's what I was thinking
You missed your chance, they were playing all of them because its his birthday today (Harry's)
Sammyyam No I mean on Blu-ray. That's the best way.
i already rewatched it this month for the prequel Fantastic beast and where to find them
Birdman Yeah I'm gonna do the same but 2 every month so I can pace it.
Nice little side note - called the Philosopher's Stone is Britain!
+Weisschen see also soccer vs. football
and chips vs. French fries
+Weisschen ahh that's cool didn't know it was only America! That's what they always do tho! Haha!
+Nick94956 or as I call it in Scotland "fitba"

I Love you Chris Stuckmann you are stuck in my head love your videos and reviews SUBSCRIBED and rewatching all your videos keep it up ! :) love your personality
Now I’ve watched every movie and read every book. When I finished the book I got a bit tearful. Rip. I shall start rereading and rewatching the series now.
So excited for these reviews
Recently rewatched it.. The ending with Voldemolt is one of the greatest villain introductions I seen.. He only has one seen. And we learn so much about the kinda villain he is
Great video Chris! You seem really excited when talking about HP and I enjoyed your review a lot! Keep up the good work!
Also try to make these HP reviews more often instead of the whole one-a-month review thing you had with Star Wars. Please!
I've rewatched the series many times. I really like all the set up. It's also fun to go from watching the finale to immediately starting all over again and seeing just how much they have grown by comparison.
What, not one mention of Albus Dumbledore??!! I'll give you a pass, this time, Stuckmann. But you should talk about Richard Harris, he is THE BEST Dumbledore. His voice, his commanding presence and his long acting career leading up to the HP movies are proof enough. I will always love his Dumbledore more than anything in the first two movies.
YAY! Chris is finally reviewing Harry Potter! :-)
Thank you for this, Chris!!!! I absolutely LOVE these films and can't wait to see you talk about them!!!
Chris, your background looks awesome. The lights on the movies makes for a really cool visual.
wow this review brought nostalgia and warmth to my heart.
One of the interesting things I've found about Hagrid is that he's one of the few English characters I've seen in a big Hollywood movie that doesn't have an RP or London accent, but instead has a Westcountry accent (I think it's either Devonshire or Cornish). Hollywood always seems to be casting British actors who either have an RP or London accent, and maybe the occasional Scottish or Yorkshire accent (think Wallace & Gromit or Chicken Run) for some reason I've never really understood, my best guess is that the casting agents just work from London where those 2 accents are more prominent.
Another bit of Hagrid trivia: the actor who plays him was also in Goldeneye playing Valentin Zukovsky.
I have such fond memories of seeing this movie in the theater when I was eight years old. this is my favorite Harry Potter movie if not for the mirror of erised scene alone and I think the actors who play Harry's parents are two at most underrated performers in the entire series they may not have a lot of dialogue but they bring the perfect amount of mystical warmth to every scene they're in. it has such emotional resonance when combined with Daniel Radcliffe's performance.
What I liked the most with Chris Columbus' direction was the shots of the characters' faces (the angles) and the way they made you feel (lots of comical ones) :)
also i like richard harris's version of Dumbledore in the first two. so calm, thoughtful and stoic. he's the perfect actor to play that role.
Notification squad where you at?
Hi.
Right here haha
Hello.
Here :)
Here
Got to say Chris, I love your balance of geeky and insightful with a more popular viewpoint, resonates with me strongly, great reviewing, keep it up!
Thanks Chris now I can't wait for the rest of the reviews 😭😭😭
I always say it; I love when Chris reviews old movies.
Its Philosopher's Stone!!!
It's different names from diffrent places stfu
+The Geek it's philosophers stone in the uk. Where it was written.
+The Geek The Book Originates From England The English Name Is Philosophers Stone So No I Will No "stfu"
Watch the video dammit
Only in the us is it called Sorcerer's stone everywhere else it's called philosophers stone
I can't believe this is the first time I'm seeing these videos, I love your channel and everything Harry Potter.
Btw, love the shirt.
Sir. You have spoken straight to the heart of a huge Harry Potter fan. I have agreed with everything you say! I'm so looking forward to your future reviews of the HP movies.
SUBSCRIBED
It feels like a campament or an awesome internship in real life and you experience the kids wonder and joy of exploring the new, completely brought me a nostalgia seeing it for the first time, it feels like an exposition but i took it as the adults trying to teach the kids , the new place a kind of friendly competition if you have go to a camp prepared by the school as a kid you kind of know what im talking about, like they teaching you songs, new sports, the points system beetwen the houses, and the ending with dumbledore giving points it feels like the ending of that camp like you are a little sunburn, tired, happy not even sad that it ended but you get a sense of knowing the place so well and getting ready to get to thebuses it brought what can I say, i know what they were going for and I loved it.
Where the is the analyzed neon demon video? :(
He must wait for the bluray first.
Awesome job! For the future movies maybe it'd be great to touch upon their plots as well, its been a long time since I've visited these books and films.
I'm so excited that you are reviewing Harry Potter films now. Some of my favorite films and books.
This one is my favorite Harry Potter to rewatch. This ones feelings of discovery were unmatched for me the feeling of discovering a new world was unmatched
Great review! I love all HP movies, but the first two are my favorites because they are the most faithful to the books in my opinion, my most loved HP book is the third but the third movie is my last favorite and it's a pity that they haven't included all the backstory of the Marauders and Dumbledore's family.
He released this review on the 31st of July. I see what you did there Chris, and I love you for it.
This is probably my most nostalgic movie. I'm 18 now but at the time this movie came out I was 3 years old and about to start preschool. I remember being in preschool and running around pretending to a wizard along with my friends. Then I would come home and pop in the VHS tape of the Sorcerer's Stone as well as the Chamber of Secrets. I was obsessed with it. As I grew up I went to see every movie in theaters as they came out. I'm really happy that the series is making a comback. Kickass review Chris!
I actually like how the film meanders and takes its time explaining stuff, it's much more relaxed and laid back in terms of pacing than any of the other Harry Potter movies, and I like that. I prefer the world of Harry Potter to be fun and inviting and a world that I'd like to live in, and not being all doom and gloom like the later ones are.
I'm currently rewatching the Harry Potter movies with a couple of my friends. It's been around two years since I last saw them, I think, so I wanted to revisit them and see how they hold up. This first one does, and it does it well. The pacing is not the best, since they adapted the source material very closely, and that is both a positive and a negative. Some things could've been cut. Having said this, it's still a great movie. The perfect introduction to the HP universe, with incredible production value and the budding relationship of the trio, which is the most important part of the whole series. Great stuff, you could say almost _magical_ *wink wink*
God, these movies give me so much nostalgic feels. I grew up with both the books and the movies. It's unfortunate the state the franchise is in right now and Rowling being... well, you know. But I still feel very much attached to it. Can't wait to rewatch the others.
I have been a fan of yours for quite some time now and your reviews are on point would like to know your thoughts on Boondock Saints and the Boondock Saints sequel
Thanks for doing these reviews!
I actually think they set up the universe really well in the first movie… it didn't feel like exposition because it was just so much fun.
Guys, Chris Stuckmann is from THE UNITED STATES as in America. To us, here in the U.S., it is called "Sorcerer's Stone". Stop correcting him
My wife and I are re-watching this series right now, perfect timing Chris!
OMG I have been waiting for you to finally review every single harry potter movie! Thank you so much! :)
The best thing, in my mind, about the first 2 movies was Dumbledore. I really, really loved Richard Harris' portrayal. Michael Gambon was good, but I think Richard Harris pulled it off a lot better. A true talent was lost when Mr. Harris passed away in 2002.
Plus, the fact that the guy who once played King Arthur in Camelot played, essentially, Merlin is very amusing.
"It takes 98 minutes before the Sorcerer's Stone is even mentioned"
Yeahhhh but they do SEE it before then. Don't wanna say more and spoil anything if you haven't seen it but you do see the Stone before that and HP is all about mystery, so... I don't really see that as an issue.
The fact that this was posted on Harry's birthday makes me so happy! But I am sad that you didn't mention Dumbledore's casting because it was PERFECT! But I'm excited to see the rest of your reviews on the series as it's my favorite.
This is perhaps your best film review Chris. Nailed everything on the head. Can't wait for your Half Blood Prince review, which in my opinion is the best out of the lot.
When's Chamber of Secrets review coming out?
"Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" was a great fantasy film for over 15 years. It was my fourth top rankings of the best Harry Potter films. I remember this movie when I was in middle school and I went to see this movie in the big screen, and it was fantastic. A great magical adventure and capturing the adaptation from the J.K. Rowling's series and you have a great time to see these films for over 10 years. The young cast did a great job including Radcliffe, Watson, and Grint were great as memorable characters that they're becoming friends. These talented British actors were amazing including Alan Rickman was awesome and I rather see him as a dark tough wizard that every fan girl can be banged from his words. However, I think men are too obsessed with Emma Watson so I like her performance, but seriously? Stop thinking about Emma Watson. Hogwarts was great and such a nice castle that every magic student can go there and learning something with magic. Of course the story follows up with first novel and quite mythos that they're creating something that Harry Potter can follow than most films that failed to tell their story. Tell them in their faces against "The Twilight Saga" and yay, you're being too much yourself for making a pointless vampire love story, but for me, Harry Potter is a fun adventure and creating the world that I love to see. Overall, a great film and still remember these good old days that they make a better franchise before the Hollywood had too much idea.
So nice to actually see movie SCENES during the review
Great channel. Very good that you rewiew older movies as well. The first Harry Potter was very good. Alan Rickman was amazing as Severus Snape.
Is it just me that his favorite harry potter movie is the half blood prince?
Halfblood Prince is like Return of the Jedi. They're really fun and I feel that they're some of the most entertaining in the franchise, which I guess makes people like them a lot. I like PoA.
Wait a second, I really loved Half Blood Prince but not Return of the Jedit, am I mentally wrong?
I actually think half blood prince is by far the worst.
The Half-Blood Prince is great when you first watch it. Watch it a second time, and it's...meh.
I never liked the half blood prince as much. My favourites were the poa and the order of the Phoenix
80's - Star Wars
90's - Jurrasic Park
00's - Harry Potter
10's - MCU
20's - ?
Life is almost complete, been waiting for this for soooo long
cant wait for the other harry potter reviews!!! ♡
Lol I never noticed cgi players during the quiditch match
When Neville falls off his broom during flying lessons and breaks his wrist that was cgi also
+GoddessGothicLolita what!!??? Nooooo!!! I always thought that he really fall and break his bones!! fuck! my childhood is ruined now!!
+GoddessGothicLolita that one I did notice
XD
As a kid I never noticed it, but watching it as an adult makes it obvious lol. The Quidditch effects in the 2nd and 3rd films are SO much better.
Just watched this movie yesterday and I'm interested now to get in this franchise. Now it's binge time
I love your movie reviews Chris. :')
Nice review! I'd give this an A- though, the setup is actually accurate to the book lol. Where did you get your shirt? It's so great. And I can't wait until the Chamber of Secrets review.
I have a question for all you Potter-philes out there. If the movie is called the Philosopher's Stone in some regions, then what do they call the stone in the film? Do they STILL called it the Sorcerer's stone in both versions, or do they change it? And hell, WHY did they change the names?
There are two film versions too. They made the actors film each scene that contained that word twice.
*****
But you don't know why they changed the names to begin with?
+Kool Keith Productions Fun fact: "Philosopher" is a racial slur in 3 southern states in the U.S., that is why it was changed there. That's a fun lie.
Because American children are too dumb to know the word "Philosopher", so they changed it to "Sorcerer" instead.
Scholastic Books thought kids wouldn't know what a "philosopher" is.
When he was talking about Draco all I could think about was - You've never been on Tumblr have you?
THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THIS IS MY FAVORITE FANTASY AND I'VE WAITED SO LONG FOR YOUR REVIEWS!!!!!
OMG yes! This is the reviews I've been waiting for! Yes!
