Remastering Zuko in Avatar: The Last AIrbender
I've been remastering Avatar: The Last Airbender for a very short while now and I figured it was finally time to work on scenes featuring season 1's main antagonist: the banished Prince Zuko.
Watch along as I take scenes from the first two episodes and "modernize" this masterpiece of a show.
The tools I used:
- iPad Air M1
- Apple Pencil 2nd Generation
- Procreate
- Procreate Dreams

I Remastered More Avatar: The Last Airbender
Переглядів 50 тис.14 днів тому
I recently "remastered" Avatar: The Last Airbender in my previous video and I had so much fun with this experience I decided to attempt even more scenes from the pilot episode. In this video, I focused on clips with movement from the characters instead of relying on stationary backgrounds. I hope you enjoy!
I Remastered Avatar: The Last Airbender

Avatar: The Last Airbender is my favorite show that I love to come back to time and time again. However, I feel the aspect ratio leaves a lot to be desired. So I decided to take matters into my own hands and try to remaster a handful of scenes from the pilot episode of this magnificent show. Hope you enjoy!
The Jungle Book is Proof that Good Live Action Adaptations Exist
Переглядів 496Місяць тому
I recently watched The Jungle Book on Disney Plus and fair to say that I enjoyed it quite a lot. I was surprised that Disney made an adaptation that was good and, in my opinion, was better than the original. So I wanted to make a video going over why I liked the Jungle Book and what I thought of the other adaptations that I've seen. Thank you for watching and enjoy!

Can Deadpool & Wolverine Actually Save the MCU?

I know I'm a bit late to the party, but there's been a quote going around from the one and only Matthew Vaughn. And in this quote, he claims that Deadpool 3 will save the MCU. I wanted to make a quick video explaining my thoughts on whether or not I can see this happening or not. The podcast in which he said this quote is linked here: ua-cam.com/video/zN2mL519qOw/v-deo.html Please enjoy!

Netflix's Avatar: The Last Airbender is Going to be Amazing

Finally, a Good Percy Jackson Adaptation
Переглядів 8943 місяці тому
The Percy Jackson show is already halfway through with its first ever season on Disney Plus. So what better time to take a look and see if this beloved book series can be elevated through another medium. I love the Percy Jackson series and ever since I was in middle school, I couldn't get enough of the son of Poseidon. I'm super excited to take a look at this show and see what the hype is about...
The Percy Jackson Movie is Disrespectful to Fans

Disney’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians is coming out soon. And to prepare for that show, I decided to take a look back at the adaptation that failed to get anything right. It's been ages since I last saw this disappointment disguised as a movie and I haven't thought about Percy Jackson in a very long time. Hope you enjoy this video as I attempt to talk about why I feel like this movie failed ...
Loki Season 2 Fixed the MCU

Loki Season 2 might be my favorite MCU installment in the past few years. This show was such a breath of fresh air while integrating a familiar character that's been a main stay since Phase 1. But now he's on a new adventure, well kinda new since this is still the second season of his show. I enjoyed Loki season 2 a lot more than expected, and I really hope the MCU learns what worked well with ...

Sky High is PEAK Superhero Movie

2005's Sky High took the world not by storm. It was a rather tame release with not so great reviews from critics. However, over 18 years later and it's now considered a cult classic, by me at least. This is a movie I loved watching as a kid and I still find myself enjoying it now. I miss when movies would be made with the quality and campiness as Sky High and I desperately wish more movies like...
Netflix's Avatar Already Surpassed The Last Airbender Film

New photos of Avatar the Last Airbender Live Action dropped and honestly these look better than I ever expected. It's clear from the five or so photos that were recently released that this studio is taking the source material seriously with the amount of detail in each still. I'm looking forward to seeing more photos and future trailers and eventually Book 1. Are you looking forward to this upc...
The new Avatar game is a disgrace

Avatar the Last Airbender is a great show built upon a great story, great characters, great actors, and even greater character development. This show spans decades now and is just as popular as ever. I've watched all three of these now and I'm such a fan. I'm not sure if I'm misremembering, but you've changed the thumbnails for them right? I think what you have currently is pretty bad as a thumbnail and almost caused me to overlook this upload, they're a bit too boring and look like a wallpaper or some powerpoint slide, really washed out and do not indicate what the video will be about. Please try out some different thumbnail options, you've got an amazing series here, don't let a bad thumbnail get in the way of people finding it! All love, excited to see more!

Please never use AI. It won't be a proper remaster with that. Background artistry is an under appreciated art, and us watching your finished work is more special when we know you took great care in every frame and shot.

  • @wile123456
    @wile123456 2 дні тому

Ideally the sokka tumble should be extended or cut so that he rolls inside the frame again. It's a cinematography trick where he rolls out left, and rolls in left so the eyes of the viewer is focused on the action, but since the next show now start with him in frame, it looses some of that kinetic energy. I do agree that the shot be extended that way, as it adds more oomph to the boomerang being thrown

  • @wile123456
    @wile123456 2 дні тому

This is really great work. But you're doing yourself a disservice not using the highest source avilable: the Blu ray release. Your backgrounds are sharper than the main content, so either you need to use a high bit rate Blu ray source or blur your drawings so they fit the softening the original show has.

I feel like this could be where certain ai programs could come in handy. If it can maintain coherency you could probably patch it together relatively quickly. But this is a great example of your techniques.

This is so cool! As a tip to hopefully make keyframes less frustrating, they're supposed to be used on, well, KEY moments. So for something as simple as a smooth motion from one place to another, you should only have to place two keyframes - one on the very first frame and one on the last - and the program should take care of the in-between movement for you. I've never used Procreate Dreams so I'd definitely recommend looking it up, but the basic idea is pretty common in animation programs so I'd assume it would carry over

I'd say you should bring other videos again so you could stay sane on what you want, but also keep the Avatar animation project in mind. My funny way of thinking, if you stay sane = no rush in pumping particular vids = more of you showing your skills with avatar 👍

I feel like if you tackled just the first episode entirely for that wide shot could be a fun project for you to work and maybe improve even more from what you've already uploaded. Then when you're done, have it as a scheduled stream for you to show live.

This is the right thing to do when wanting to remaster Avatar, we don't need an actual remake. And the way you're doing it is the right way. But if Netflix wanted to do this they could easily get the whole show done in a few weeks by simply using ai. AI image extension, or outpainting is surprisingly good

it would be nice to see other episodes, no more snowy icebergs. the dragons episode could be cool, and challenging. doing your own small animation inspired by ATLA could be cool, maybe a turtle-duck swimming around or something. could also be interesting to zoom out of a scene rather than move it to the side. or do a different show. honestly i'm not sure how restricted you are when it comes to copyright
