Got my AE 30 about 3 days ago, This is a whole new universe for an old sax man. I used to really envy those electric guitars.... well, move over guitar man, we've caught up and we're passin you by.....eat my dust! Thanks Keith, you rock Bro.
Great video Keith just found your video and subscribed, very informative and right to the point, AE-30 really doesn’t give to much information in instructions and this info. Was very helpful, looking forward to new videos
Thanks for taking the time to share your knowledge Keith. Please make more of these. I'm still waiting for my AE-30 but with your help, I hope to hit the ground running when it arrives.
hey Keith, nice video and good tutorial. I own an Ae-20 Any idea how I can connect these devices with GarageBand (Ipad/Iphone)?. Im new with this, I've been playing saxophone all my life so this opened a whole new universe of possibilities to me, so im curious.
Thank you so much Kieth. I am looking forward to to learing the ins and outs of ths wonderful instrument. I am certainally having a blast with mine. I hope as you go along with these youtube videos that you will show us how to assign functions to the S1 S2 and thumb button (and maybe also the high F#). Question: is there a way to trigger a sustan with a foot switch so the sustain function behaves like the sustain key on the Akai? Man I miss that one single feature. It is the one and only thing I miss about not using the Akai anymore. This is a great video! Thank you so much for your help and thank you for your friendship.
I too long for the sustaine function. It was on the E10. I now want it on the AE 30. If you have any way that you pick up to do this, please send them to me. Thank you.
Great video....Question: You may recall on the AE-10 there was a sustaine function .... Where I could? play a note and as long as I'm continuing to blow any other note I play would be layered on top whether it's higher or lower...... and I think it was a CC 65. I was able to assign it to different buttons and I would love to have that feature on the the AE-30. I cannot figure out how to do this on the E30. Can you please please help me figure that out?
My Aerophone is still on the road. How can I change the Drone-Note without a pause? Can I instead of „thumbing“ the sound off have the drone note changed to another different note?
Great question. I do know there is a "hold" function where you can continuously hold a note and change it if you want. I plan on diving into that soon. However with that function I don't know yet if you can play a note overtop of the notes in the "hold" function. I believe that specifically functions as if you were circular breathing playing continuous licks.
@@KeithMckelley I’ll try to find out, too. Unfortunately there’s not much documentation in the manuals for that. I’ll also try to get a patch programmed so I can have a major chord playing and bend the third with the thumb to have a minor or a sus4 chord. Any maybe I’ll try to even get a 7 with like hi f# or something. Still I miss the low A because I’m originally playing a Baritone Sax 😅
Hi Kieth from Sammy and Lucy DeLeon from Cleveland! You are our hero....love you!!

Sorry for such a late reply. Been working on a few projects. I'm gonna do a video on that exact subject.
Does the ae-20 have this same drone effect?
Now I would love to see a video of this but in a piano sound because I don't play piano
