Guitarist Demos the Roland Aerophone Ae-30

- As many of you know I have collaborated and worked with Roland and BOSS of the years but only for the guitar related gear, so when an event came up and they needed someone to show off the Aerophone I offered to try.... With only 48 hours 😂😂 I used to play Sax but like 20 odd years ago but I figured it would be fun to try so this is what I did.... Hope you get a kick out of it.
I certainly enjoyed doing it. Thanks Roland for trusting my to have a go with this, I had a great time. 👍🙏🎸
The first tone sounds like the synth sax in the Blade Runner soundtrack - Vangelis ftw!

Very nice Alex! I remember testing a Lyricon back in the late 70's. I think I need to give the AE-30 a try.

@@AlexHutchingsMusic Saxophone was my first instrument and I still play winds on occasion. The Lyricon was way ahead of its time. With all the digital wonders we have at our disposal today, this could be an excellent controller for those with horn chops.
I think it's time to pull up my old clarinet!

I was debating myself to go with AE-20 or YDS-150, after seeing you playing Aerophone, I set my mind immediately to Roland 😃

I love my AE-30. Now that I'm figuring out how to program it to get my kinds of sounds I love it even more but it's also an excellent MIDI controller. The motion sensors are great for real-time control when the external synth has the flexibility.

Nice! I got one of those TEC breath controllers to use with keyboard and the SWAM instruments. At some point I’m going to have to try using it to control a volume on a guitar processor (and maybe a filter too) for breath controlled volume swells on guitar.
