Lr rwd owner here love it. I’m not a boost heat even moderate EV has more than enough boost when coming from fuel. Rwd has better range which is more important to me imo.
It’s about 20 more miles according to Tesla which is kinda negligible but independent tests have shown the LR RWD gets very good range. It’s nice to have options!
@@situationalawarenesssurviv7331385 is insane! I’ve seen some tests of the M3 Long Range AWD that got 10-15 higher than its epa. I’m willing to spend the extra money on AWD for better stereo and rain/snow driving as I live in Henderson (close to vegas)
thought you were going to put the performance vs lr awd in this video. I've seen with the older model especially with acceleration boost they are almost the same.
AWD Long Range is pretty quick . What do you do in the 1/4 mile? Are you able to keep up with older Performance Model in a roll? I'm wondering how your Long Range would do in comparison with Lap3 tuned Stinger GT....
Thank you for this vídeo. I have an old Tesla and i want to buy a 2024 model. However, my budget only allow me to buy an standard range ( in europe Tesla still sells them) or the RWD ling range. I would love to see the comparison between those to models (LFP vs RWD long range)

Great video….thanks. I was just thinking how fast an electric car would be if it had a motor for each wheel. Probably would kill the range but boy would it be fast! I’m thinking a 250 hp motor for each wheel…1000 hp. I wonder if adding motors would be what tuners will be doing in the future.
I’m going to suggest a race you’ve probably never seen on UA-cam, and if you do it, you’ll be the first to make it happen. Honestly, I also want to know who would win this race. It’s a race between the 2024 Tesla Model 3 Performance and the 2022 (or later) Tesla Model S Long Range, as their 0 to 60 mph times are quite similar.
If heavy snow is not a factor, I'd say you go cheap with LR RWD (which has most range and plenty of kick) or go all out with the performance. I think there needs to be a bigger price difference between the performance and LRs to consider the AWD
you bring up a good point. however, there are tons of inventory discounts on LR AWD now bringing it down to lower than the LR RWD. If you're leasing (like me) the difference is only $50/month to go with a LR AWD from the LR RWD whereas the performance is $250 more a month.
Awesome comparison video.. love the full transparency and no biased. I ended up placing an order for a LR AWD in white. I sooo wanted tesla to offer performance with tax credit without FSD on other colors but its selling like crazy. I test drove one and IMO for a DD it didn't justify it from a comfortable point. Not gonna be hitting it on every corner in DFW traffic driving 25 miles one way to work 😂
There is a difference with battery packs in the USA too. Tesla has installed European style LG in Teslas sold in the USA if a buyer don’t qualify for a tax rebate. Maybe that’s a reason why there is such a huge difference

7:40 I suspect from a dig, Elantra N with JB4 in your condition will still not catch LR RWD in a quarter mile race. The best chance is for Elantra N to win is doing a 60 roll. That's my prediction😆
I thought the LR RWD would be far behind, but it’s actually pretty close and quick compared to the LFP version. So it’s very impressive for those versions. Also, you get up to 300+. It’s not bad. The base 3 is the fastest base car in the segment too, it looks like.
